Absolutely the best food in Buffalo and our favorite hands down Italian restaurant with the best meatballs I ever had besides my grandma's, that I haven't had since she passed, so these are now the best I can get. The menu is great with something for everyone and whatever you're in the mood for from flatbread pizza to homemade pasta with the most amazing sauces, delicious salads, fantastic steak and the freshest Italian desserts. if you can save room. We have to get them to go home. It's so hard to decide that we get several things and go family style sharing and going around the menu. bravo Nani in the meatballs! they are a must! great friendly service and beautiful atmosphere. sometimes the acoustic music in the bar. what a gem we love walking distance to the theater district, we try to go before shows and park and enjoy the evening starting with the best meal and drinks before a show downtown. “The restaurant is Italian and has a rustic European look - we were told the 2nd floor is normally used for parties of 8 and up. The patio is open for seating and is dog-friendly but it was too warm today so we ate inside. The bar and kitchen are in the center and there is seating on both sides. We started with drinks and complimentary focaccia bread. My husband had salmon wrapped in a puff pastry served with asparagus, his sister had Ziti alla Genovese (see menu photo), and I had Gnocchi Bolognese. We shared two desserts - lemoncello cake and a strawberries and cream gelato. The service was great (Gianni), the temperature inside not too cold or hot, and the bathroom was clean. We definitely recommend!“

They even allowed me to have a specialty cocktail. We were able to come in advance to drop off some decorations I wanted to put out and we got to try the cocktail beforehand too. There were different party packages to choose from which I appreciated as well. “Been curious about this place for sometime and today presented the opportunity to try it. Came with a couple of work mates. Simple, clean tavern with food and several tables. Old school and homey. Limited daily menu, but something for anyone who loves traditional Italian-American dishes. I am always hesitant to order red sauced dishes out, because I was taught how to make a mean red sauce by an old school Nonna. The Armory did not disappoint and frankly the sauce could easily compete with Mulberry's , which is my usual go to. Not to sweet, not to acidic, just right seasonings for an everyday red sauce. Thick sliced and fresh, seeded Italian bread and butter, generous portions, lovely personal service and inflation busting price points...OMG, what's not to love about lunch here!“

“Due to Covid restrictions Jovi's hadn't been opened for awhile. Went on a Friday night. The restaurant was at 50% capacity and every table was full. They have changed their menu, which I found very interesting. I ordered the special of shrimp and lemon ricotta pasta with tomatoes and red peppers $23. I asked for it to be served without tomatoes. When the server brought my food which seemed to take awhile, she said "oh, I forgot no tomatoes." There weren't any red peppers but a boat load of tomatoes. I didn't want to wait for my food while the other guests were eating so as to why I didn't send it back. The 4 pieces of shrimp still had the tails on which I thought was odd in a pasta dish, but the pasta was very good. It seems that Jovi's is working out some issues after being closed due to the covid restrictions. I'll probably give them another chance, hope they're able to get their flow going again.“

Our first Buffalo-destination in July 2025 was a "bar" known for their creation of Buffalo-wings. When we return in July 2026, JT's will be our first Buffalo-destination for wings. Large fully-cooked chicken wing drumettes and flats. The size required 4-5 adult mouth-fulls to get to the bare-bones. Scrumptious, tender, moist chicken meat inside a crispy outer covering, hand shaken in unique inspired sauces. Perfection defined for Buffalo-wings. JT's is a must for those who appreciate the best Buffalo-wing experience. Try them once, you will not find their equal in Buffalo ( or any other place ). LMAO! Unfortunately, we did not leave room for dessert and will have to come back for the tiramisu (we heard that was also amazing). I’m still thinking about the incredible pizza! “This small business has a great family vibe. The food was ahmazing! the meatballs with ricotta are like no other. Their chicken, stuffed mushrooms, and roast beef were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They have a lot of seafood options, clams and scalops too. The owner and chef, Mark is out and about interacting with patrons and even plays the harmonica for you! He is very talented, he vame out to play happy birthday for someone across the restaurant and even came over to our work christmas party to play some christmas music. “The Celtic Menu was planned for this week and a friend and I ordered the Seafood light cream soup and Fall salad with romaines, toasted hazelnuts, grilled orange slices,et cetera to start ! Each was so very delicious ! Before that we were given their complimentary amusebusce ( sp.? ) of their homegrown cherry tomatoes, flavored butter and asparagus. The breadbasket had Irish soda bread,and one other roll. My entree was two pieces of beautifully fried fish, and shoestring French fries,and Cole slaw. Best that I’ve ever had ! Another entree was a lamb pasty with vegetables. The crust was marvelous and the lamb gently seasoned. We could not resist the ‘pot pie’ on a light,crust with delicious vegetables. 2 desserts were offered but we must leave room for those on another visit ! The chef takes time to come out to the tables to check about the food,and the staff is VERY attentive . This was a wonderful experience, as every time we attend ! Treat yourself !“
