But there is a little something on the outside of the calamari that makes it delicious. The aioli is lovely as well. Chicken schnitzel had a little too much oil on the plate, but the seasoning was spot on and every taste fantastic.“

On another note this was our first time there. I went over to another table where a couple was waiting for the rest of their party. When I inquired what they have had previously their response was "there isn't anything on the menu that we would not like". I believe that would be 100% true after we experienced the quality with just a few dishes... The beverages were excellent too.“

I’ve gone with different people as I felt I just had to introduce them to the Blue Cave. Everyone was amazed at the quality of the food! I have also recommended this restaurant to other friends and they have loved it! I am a huge cheese lover and you can just taste the freshness of the cheeses used. The service was efficient and friendly and I was not lacking for a thing. I enjoyed taking in the view of the downtown area while savoring my delicious wine and meal. I was also pleased to meet the chef and his charming wife who seem to work so hard to make this place a unique dining experience. I would without a doubt highly recommend the Blue Cave! Definitely worth going and also taking food to go or frozen meal (taste just the same as the real thing served on the spot).“

“We recently had our twins college graduation party at Caio Caio and were extremely satisfied with the whole process from scheduling and planning (Gina) to the party itself. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. Nick and his crew were on top of their game!! Everyone had a great time and we received numerous comments on how great everything was, especially the focaccia sandwiches and mini cannolis. We live down the street and will definitely be back soon.

“I have been to each incarnation of this space since Yiannis in the 1980s - Angeline holds its own! Lively (if crowded) bar, beautiful decor and excellent service. Oysters were fresh, cold…delicious. Gem salad terrific. Swordfish alla Putanesca nicely cooked, delicious sauce but…..scrub the clams better. I was so excited to see them, but there were tiny pieces of shell in the sauce. No one wants to pick their teeth at the table. Scrub-a-dub-dub!

The Rice Balls were out of this world. The Peanut Butter pie was the best I ever had. Also, Casey, the Manager was so accommodating and personable. She just couldn't do enough for us. “Due to Covid restrictions Jovi's hadn't been opened for awhile. Went on a Friday night. The restaurant was at 50% capacity and every table was full. They have changed their menu, which I found very interesting. I ordered the special of shrimp and lemon ricotta pasta with tomatoes and red peppers $23. I asked for it to be served without tomatoes. When the server brought my food which seemed to take awhile, she said "oh, I forgot no tomatoes." There weren't any red peppers but a boat load of tomatoes. I didn't want to wait for my food while the other guests were eating so as to why I didn't send it back. The 4 pieces of shrimp still had the tails on which I thought was odd in a pasta dish, but the pasta was very good. It seems that Jovi's is working out some issues after being closed due to the covid restrictions. I'll probably give them another chance, hope they're able to get their flow going again.“

“Great lunch! I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. I really appreciated that the meatballs and sauce were not overdone with seasoning. The seasoning complemented rather than dominated. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear and a choice of potato salad or macaroni salad. I chose the latter. The mac salad was very tasty. My biggest pleasure was the dill pickle. It was terrific - crunchy and not overwhelmed by the spices or vinegar. It was more akin to the store-bought Clausen brand pickle. Well done!“

Their chicken, stuffed mushrooms, and roast beef were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They have a lot of seafood options, clams and scalops too. The owner and chef, Mark is out and about interacting with patrons and even plays the harmonica for you! He is very talented, he vame out to play happy birthday for someone across the restaurant and even came over to our work christmas party to play some christmas music. It is a gem of a place, if you are in kenmore and want dinner or just a glass of wine at a quiet bar or a warm friendly place, they are wonderful. Unfortunately, we did not leave room for dessert and will have to come back for the tiramisu (we heard that was also amazing). I’m still thinking about the incredible pizza!
