“Best Shawarma in all of Maple right beside Wonderland. They’re open until 3 o’clock in the morning for your late night cravings and they always give a very respectable portion. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a little bit of Middle Eastern twist in Vaughan.“

“I have been going to Lazeez for almost 12 years. Recently a lot of the locations have been serving poor quality food.
We went to this location last night after Canada's Wonderland, firstly the 2 young workers were super nice and accommodating. We were a large group (3 families) it was close to closing time. They still agreed to accommodate us for dine in. Order was prompt and served perfectly with no issues. The food was fresh and great quality. I must say this is a very good location! Very conveniently located and the staff is fantastic as well. Good job guys!“

I usually get the Chicken Shawarma meal and if you are not feeling for salad, you can always request extra potatoes.

The sauce can be a little spicy, so be mindful - but it is very delicious.“

“This restaurant is quite a local Hangout for most of the cultural community in the area. It's been around for over a hundred years but unfortunately it's a Creamery and the best you can do is toast pastries, creamery items coffee etc. but no meat. So if you're looking for bacon and eggs or steak and eggs forget it. Still good food if you're hungry at a reasonable price and one of the few restaurants in the area. The best part of this restaurant from my perspective is the bakery. My review initially was on the restaurant but since then I drop in a couple a times a week to stock up on rye bread be it with kimmel, plain or pumpernickel. Another unique thing is the sizes of their loaves. They make small loaves of rye that are terrific when you just want a small snack with hummus or meat. Now as well they have a terrific selection of danish open face with lemon, apple, blue berrie, cherry as well as turnovers and muffins. But the best part is if you get there at 8.00 am all these items day olds are half price.“

“This place is similar to the concept of a combination of a coffeehouse, tavern, and dining hall in Turkey. It’s like a blend of three different places, something I haven't even seen in Turkey. I liked it; the prices are reasonable. There are about thirty people inside, but no women at all.“

When I moved to Canada I never had a same taste of Shawarma. But the taste was from Fantastic was awesome. They have variety of sauces and filling. More over direct cutting from oven ... that makes different from other shawarma shops..“

“The garlic toum is fabulous at Aladdin shawarma house, which reminds me of sharwama palace in Ottawa (which I think is the BEST sharwama in Canada). The roasted potatoes is also a blessing, and everything goes down refreshingly with the lovely coleslaw.

“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“

“I tried the chicken, beef, and lamb shawarma, along with the biryani, and everything was delicious. The meats were tender and flavorful, and the biryani had a nice balance of spices. Be aware, though if you opt for spicy, it’s very spicy!

“I come to York Shawarma during my lunch break sometimes and always receive great customer service and great food. They are very generous with their portions in both the plates and the sandwiches. For these reasons I keep coming back to this place on my lunch breaks and I hope it doesn’t change!

Vegetarian options: The typical options plus cabbage and red cabbage. In other stores I usually don’t see those two options so glad they have them.

Parking: Not a huge lot but can fit at least 12 cars.

Kid-friendliness: I don’t see a reason for it not to be kid-friendly but its location is within an industrial zone.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s accessible as long as the chair fits throughout the door. It’s a normal size door.“

It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“

“Glad that we have an ali baba's in the area, the restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained and food is flavourful and fresh. My favourites are the chicken shawarma wrap and the falafel wrap, the have daily deals that are a great price!The staff are friendly and courteous, but when they get very busy and there is a line, the service and attention to hygiene get looked over. Multiple times that I have been there and it has been busy I noticed that they didn't take their gloves off when touching the checkout machine and money and resumed to serve others with the same gloves on.Also, when busy, they rush to get everyone's orders put together and ingredients that I said I didn't want were put into my wrap. I'd rather wait a little longer and get the right ingredients.I will definitely give them another chance and hopefully by then this issue is corrected!“

The fusion of the sauces and the toppings is paired so well. The falafel was soft and moist. Their secret sauce is a game changer and adds such a nice flavour. They also have freshly baked middle eastern naan’s and other breads. Hidden gem in Rexdale/Etobicoke area close to Humber College. They do have chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and other proteins as well.“
