My husband and I eat at zappi's every March and October as we run a marriage program and usually have 10 people at dinner and have never had an issue with food or service. Yesterday however service was great but when I received my calzone, it had red peppers in it which I didn't order. So the waitress took it back and had another one made for me and gave me 50% off. I did order another one for takeout and as I went to eat it today for dinner, It has green mushrooms in it, which I cannot eat as it affects my stomach. I was so looking forward to my calzone and now I am disappointed I cannot eat it.“

The sauce shouldn't overpower the cheese and vice versa, the crust-to-sauce ratio should be even, and the choice of toppings should work fine together. “First time coming to this restaurant, I have been to other Indian restaurants. I was very pleased with the food, staff, and the fact that they had Cheetah beer was a bonus. “Fat Bastard is one of those ‘if you know, you know’, kind of places. If you don’t know, and if you like burritos, you really owe it to yourself to go and check it out. Any place that doesn’t have ‘small’ on their menu is OK in my book.

My wife likes that they offer a sweet potato burrito, which is her go to. Every second time we have take-out delivered, it’s Fat Bastard. Any time we’ve gone inside to order they have always been very prompt and friendly. This is a place I openly recommend to everyone.“

“WANNABE HEALTHY SIDE DISH CONNOISSEUR
Currently, my main focus when deciding where and what to eat while eating or ordering out is whether the food item(s) are of a healthier nature and what the price is.

Usually, the items I choose are found on the Side Dish portion of the menu. (Not always, but often).

This is the case at Firehouse Subs, where I order their Chilli from their Sides menu.

Their chilli is meaty with kidney beans, diced tomatoes and onions, and a sauce that is not spicy. I personally like to taste my chilli, not feel it burn. You can always add a little heat yourself, but you can't take it out once it's in.

The price for the bowl of chilli is $5.94, which is quite reasonable, considering the high protein and fiber content.

The sodium content is a little  high - 850mg - but I often don't eat the whole portion at once, usually pouring half the chilli over a baked potato (which I get from a Sides menu at another nearby restaurant, for 3.49!).

Usually, I order pick up or just walk in and place my order.  The staff have always been polite and friendly. But due to my not eating in, I am not able to accurately review the restaurant's atmosphere.

PS - On my next visit, I plan to try their side salad - yes, it's from their Sides portion of their menu.
It is $4.95 and includes romaine lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, provolone cheese, and your choice of dressing.

“Staple ice cream spot to go to when by the niagara falls. They have unique ice cream flavors and toppings . The service is great, they are quick and generous with serving size. It can be very busy since it is in a touristy area. But overall great.“

One incredible woman, Claudia, was running the whole restaurant alone—taking orders, cooking, serving, everything—while six families (including mine) were dining. The food was good, and she handled it all with calm and professionalism.

She made the experience great, but no one should be left alone like that—especially in a tourist area. Owners, support your staff. She deserves way better.“
