“We enjoyed the three-course tasting menu at Benchmark! Our server Pauline was incredibly helpful in explaining the different dishes and helping us decide what to select. The food was absolutely delicious. So many delicious and unique flavours! I enjoyed the Cornish Hen, the Winter Chicory Salad and the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The sourdough bread was also so incredibly fresh and delicious. This was a fantastic opportunity to try unique dishes at an affordable price while supporting our local students. The future of the Niagara culinary world is bright!“

““Where Scenic Beauty Meets Exquisite Cuisine”
Queenston Heights Restaurant is an exceptional choice for a New Year’s Day brunch, offering not only a memorable dining experience but also a profound sense of place.

Nestled within Queenston Heights Park in the Niagara region, the restaurant sits gracefully on an elevated hillside along the Niagara Escarpment, overlooking the Niagara River. Beyond the crowds and spectacle of the world-famous Niagara Falls, this location offers a quieter, more contemplative side of Niagara—open, serene, and removed from the bustle. For those celebrating New Year’s Eve with the traditional midnight fireworks, a New Year’s Day brunch here provides an elegant and leisurely continuation of the festivities.

Geographically, the restaurant enjoys a prime position near Brock’s Monument, surrounded by parkland and historic landscapes, adding a sense of heritage to the experience.

The building itself is a single-storey stone structure, crafted from locally sourced Queenston limestone, whose natural texture harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding stone monuments and park features. Its distinctive red tile roof stands out against the sky, conveying warmth, character, and timeless elegance.

Inside, Queenston Heights Restaurant seamlessly blends comfort with breathtaking views. The dining room features high-ceilinged crystal chandeliers, stone walls, and wooden window accents, creating a perfect balance of rustic charm and refined elegance. The space is ideal for a leisurely brunch, festive celebration, or intimate gathering—a place where English-style sophistication meets natural serenity, allowing guests to savor exquisite cuisine while taking in the surrounding landscape.

The New Year’s Day brunch is carefully curated and delicious, offering a delightful variety including daily chef’s soup, hot antipasti, fresh salads, hot dishes, a gourmet dessert station, and a live carving station. Priced at $55 per person, the meal is complemented by attentive, friendly, and welcoming service.
Brunch seating is available at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with advance reservations strongly recommended. Window tables are especially popular and require early booking—even with a reservation made a month in advance, window seats may not be guaranteed.

More than just a restaurant, Queenston Heights Restaurant is a destination where geography, history, architecture, and natural beauty converge—a place where brunch becomes an immersive experience of landscape, heritage, and time.“

“The tour costs $45 CAD for a 45-minute experience and includes three glasses of wine plus a glass of icewine served inside an ice igloo, which is a unique and memorable highlight. As one of the newer wineries in the area, the tour was informative and well-organized and a great experience overall. If you’re visiting Niagara Falls, it’s definitely worth heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake to try icewine. There are plenty of great wineries around here.“
