“Ordered a dinner combo and a hot and sour soup. The combo had an egg roll, general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. 17 bucks for the combo 6 bucks for the soup. Portions were good ( did not finish the chicken or rice), soup was good overall food was fresh and hot. Wait time was under 10 minutes. Worth the price imo. It's westernized Chinese food which has alot of sugary sauces so diabetics beware lol. Place was clean and bright. Would go back again.“

“Good Hakka dining experience, but not perfect. The food, although full of flavour, is overly salted. The chili chicken was cooked and seasoned well. The hot and sour soup was tasty. The crispy noodles were a bit over cooked and tasted bland. I'd recommend sticking with the regular chow mein. The service was good, but order taker didn't know much about the dishes. Manager/owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are a bit high but the food was worth it. Highly recommend.“

“The best Chinese food in Durham by far.Their food is delicious (black pepper chicken is now my new favourite) and they really fill the containers! The prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Most importantly the staff have always been amazing. I’ve been ordering for over 5 years and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy (they include lots of pepper every time that I ask, they’ve rushed to make an order right after opening so I could get it to deliver it for lunch, their delivery times are always a few minutes early, etc.) this definitely is a local small business whose deserves five stars and support! Tonight was my first time trying Tim Choi's and I will DEFINITELY be ordering again.
Chicken chop suey, lemon chicken, 2 egg rolls , and honey garlic ribs was $45.00 delivered. The only change I'd make would be a little extra sauce on the ribs, but otherwise it was cooked to perfection!

We live nearby so picked it up and paid cash as you get a free menu item over a certain amount if you do this. “Hong Food has been one of the best finds ever! I tried their food for the first time a few weeks ago and kept going back. By now I've tried most of the items and I gotta say, they're all consistently good!

The lady running the store is also super sweet and never skimps on the portions! Considering the abysmal prices of food in 2024, Hong Food is very much reasonable and a wayyy better bang for your buck compared to the average fast food place.

If you're going by the Malvern mall and wanna eat, my go to would be the medium combo with the spicy rice, hakka beef, manchurian chicken and fried chicken. Grab a medium soda from the circle K on the other side and you get a banger meal for about 10 dollars including taxes!“

A wonderful young lady, Sammy took the phone order with precision. Went to pick up the dinner 20 minutes later, she had the order ready to go...along with a phone at each ear taking additional phone orders, such a pleasant person. She was so professional it was amazing and so was all the food, absolutely fantastic and made ou day, it made our Christmas dinner with family very special. “Have been ordering from here for the past 45 years. Food has been consistently the same old school North American style Chinese food. Special fried rice has a nice Smokey flavor to it complimenting anything. Hot and Sour soup is actually both in a large portion. Korean shrimp is one on my favorites large shrimp wrapped in tasty pork with a rich oyster sauce. Chow mein is always fresh complimenting the meal.“

“The best Chinese food I have had in this area, definitely highly recommended. Excellent price-quantity ratio. Friendly service, it doesn't take more than 10 minutes although there are many people waiting. I have bought food on many occasions and the taste is always very good, as well as the quantity and quality of the products. Only observation, there is no option to eat in the place, it is only take away, but it is too worth it.
