“Went there for lunch ( July 17) Food and service was good..however both washrooms had the doors wide opened and the floors were pretty discussing. Men's room was gross. Even to the point of being unsanitary, especially for a restaurant. Would expect those washroom conditions at an old gas station NOT at Swiss Chalet Not sure if I'll be returning again..“

“You can never go wrong with a quarter chicken dinner or chicken pot pie. Staff is friendly. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow when the restaurant is busy. You can get points if you have a scene card. It helps that there is a free parking lot in the Plaza. Great location too.“

“I would highly recommend hosting your event at Culinaria Restaurant! I recently hosted a birthday party there and from the moment I initially checked out the venue, the events manager, Michelle, was extremely helpful and accommodating. She was very professional and made the whole planning process such a breeze. My guests and I were very happy with the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant. Not to mention that the restaurant is already so pretty, you don’t need much to decorate your event! On day of the party, the servers were very attentive and welcoming. I definitely would host another event there in the future :)“

“The Thai red curry was just amazing, reminds me of my trip to Chiang Mai. The seafood pasta with mussels was also great. All made in house. Rare find in area. Great craft beer. A hidden gem from all the places in the area that serve basic chicken wings and deep fried offerings. The entrance is not desirable, but was told the entrance is being renovated.“

“Sam was great, he helped me I was never there before and he gave me some recommendations. The place had great vibes, great people and amazing food. I would definitely come back and try other items! The girls are phenomenal here as well, especially Javika who is always so sweet to them and listens to their ever changing topping order and additional sauce requests with soooooo much patience!“

The staff let me know it would take about 5 minutes since it’s made fresh, which I really appreciated. Service was great, and it’s also super convenient being close to home. “Went a few Saturdays ago while a World Cup game was on. The design & atmosphere is very welcoming & nice- they had TV’s both inside & outside with a DJ playing music inside. The service was by-far the best part; the staff were friendly & helped recommend us a beer to try (which we all enjoyed). The server noticed my friends pay for two of my drinks, asked why, we said it was celebratory, & she offered free shots on the house. Truly made our night. Also noticed the same staff person frequently walking around to make sure everything was in order, they seemed like they genuinely cared about the place. Would recommend.“

“Our group had a great time this past weekend at the Medieval festival! The show and tournament were entertaining and the atmosphere of the castle and arena were quite nice. The pricing of the souvenirs at the gift shops were reasonably priced, in my opinion. The food was not bad but could’ve been better. The chicken was juicy at first then become a bit dry as I was eating more of it. I also thought it lacked a bit of flavour. The corn and roasted potato were also okay. The dessert was just a frozen eclair. My favourite item was the tomato soup. But, at the end of the day the meal was still edible. I think despite all of this the show was still worth going to at least once!“

“Had an incredible experience at the Humber Room inside Humber Polytechnic. The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was on par with what you’d expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant, beautifully plated and thoughtfully executed.

What made it even more impressive is that the restaurant is run by culinary students. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and overall dining experience was honestly unbelievable. It speaks volumes about the training and standards being upheld.

A special mention to Chef Francisco Rivera, the faculty and chef in charge, whose high standards clearly shine through in every aspect of the operation. He even took the time to give us a tour of the kitchen and explained how everything runs behind the scenes, which made the experience even more memorable.

It’s unfortunate to hear that he is retiring, but he’s leaving behind something truly special. His impact on the program and the students won’t be forgotten. Highly recommend this place an absolute hidden gem.“
