“The most delicious rice balls, I have ever eaten and I am a foodie and Japanese Canadian. The rice was cooked perfectly and the filling was delicious and plentiful. A delicious lunch. I think I will pick up a few more for my trip today. The owner was super nice and encouraged me to stay and work on my laptop for a few hours.“

“This is probably the best pastry and coffee shop I have ever been to. It is family owned, serves Persian and more common pastries and sweets, has amazing coffee and tea, and they make their own ice cream/gelato/sorbet (you can see them do it sometimes).

The two sons and dad do a lot of the front of house stuff, and the mom is who makes all the lovely food! They are lovely people who understand what customer service is.

They play classical music inside, and it is a very nice atmosphere. Always clean, always comfortable. I genuinely cannot recommend enough.

If you want your mind blown and for your tongue to have a treat, try the baklava. It. is. so. ridiculously. good. If I move away from newmarket, this place is the only thing here that would bring me back.“

“I love this cafe! The treats are always incredible (my favourites are the raspberry squares, salted caramel choc chip square, and anything with a shortbread base). The staff are all so friendly and helpful - it's a wonderful place to meet friends, bring your family, or just do takeout. The lunch options (paninis, wraps, salads or soups) are delicious and change daily and seasonally. As a bonus there are frozen dinner options for you to take home and they also do catering! Can't recommend the Lighthouse Cafe enough!“

“I recently visited this shop and picked up 6 assorted tarts, and I was really pleasantly surprised at how delicious they all were! I really liked the flaky crust as it wasn't too hard to bite into. I picked up a traditional cheese tart, chocolate, tiramisu, raspberry white chocolate, and a creme brule. All of them were creamy and delicious. I would recommend you give them all a try! Most places rush and make me drop my change as they toss my drink in the window he patiently waited to hand me my straw as I rushed to take it from him, he said something telling me it’s ok no rush but was still only at the window for 25 seconds around 4pm, he was so respectful and very well mannered.“

“I had ordered a large drink via DoorDash, and when I got the order and opened the bag, I noticed that there were two drinks instead of one large. I found a sweet note attached by one of the workers who had made my drink explaining that they were running short on large cups so they made me a medium and a small. She was incredibly professional and kind during a hectic Friday morning. Somehow, my coffee order got mixed up and was replaced with a chai latte. I didn’t notice until I had already driven all the way back to work. Frustrated, I turned around and headed back to get the correct drink.

As soon as I arrived, Hannah greeted me with a warm smile and immediately apologized for the mix-up. She quickly remade my drink and even offered me a free cake pop as a kind gesture.

This is exactly how customer service should be; empathetic, efficient, and thoughtful. Mistakes happen, but Hannah turned a frustrating situation into a genuinely pleasant experience. I’m very impressed and grateful!“

“This is my favourite Starbucks located at the lobby of Sheraton hotel. Armchairs are very comfortable and the atmosphere is very cosy and good. It is nice to meet friends and spend an afternoon there. The staff in this Starbucks are nice and friendly. The drink and food are the same standards as other Starbucks stores.“

“I always find this location to be super quick and friendly. I cannot speak for the drive thru, as I mostly use the app. By far the quickest location in town.
On weekend mornings I find the wait time non existent. Everyone inside is always pleasant and the orders are always accurate.“
