“A hidden gem in the plaza beside Longos. I ordered a custom cake and called Julia twice with some specific requests. She truly delivered and did a FANTASTIC job!! The price was also extremely reasonable - a tall 8” cake topped with four macarons came up to $55. It was moist, decadent, and not too sweet. If I was to be very picky, I would request the hazelnut in the buttercream to be crushed into smaller pieces and caution the pistachio and mocha flavours in the macarons were not prominent. Still, a solid 5/5 and I will order here again. Thank you for the special cake for a special person :)“

“Went for breakfast, we ordered the Classic breakfast and a turkey bagel. Love the Turkish bagels, all the spreads, it was perfect to have a little bit of everything, some salty some sweet. Staff were super friendly and explained the items included in the Classic we were not familiar with. “This is truly a gem. Every single sweet here is absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I purchased a couple from each flavor because I couldn’t resist trying them all, and I’m so glad I did. Each bite was fresh, perfectly balanced, and made with real care. I had planned to take a photo to share, but the incredible smell and my cravings beat me to it and I couldn’t wait.

“We just happened to see this while looking for a snack place. We ordered strawberry- banana shake and hazelnut milk, banana, ice cream (this is really good). The place is clean, and the person who made our drinks is friendly. The parking space is big enough so no need to worry about it and it’s free.

“A nice, small spot tucked away in a food court near Yonge-Sheppard. They serve desserts, sandwiches, and some interesting beverages that I have yet to try. I'm definitely coming back for the drinks, but I would highly recommend the flavoured creme brulees. I got the earl grey and matcha creme brulees to share with a friend. The sugar on top was nice and caramelized, and the bitter matcha really came through in the creme brulee. Seating is likely going to be limited should you come here during the day, but the shopping centre Soul Made is located at is fairly quiet and empty in the evenings.“

“The baklava is nice and super flaky which is sort of rare nowadays. Ingredients seemed high quality and fresh. If the bottom piece of the baklava was a touch less sweet, it would be perfect. The trilece was delicious, had balanced sweetness and the glazed top layer was amazing. It had an interesting and slightly different taste that you dont encounter often (in a good way). Guy that runs it is super nice and personable. Dont expect super low prices though, these pastries are quality. Would return 100%.“

Forget Starbucks - or any other coffee or pastery place, once you eat anything here your going to be mad you wasted money anywhere else. The food is rich, melt in your mouth fresh and will sell out if you wait too long!! I highly reccommend their Abbie (dark chocolate and raspberry), mont blanc, imo tart, kinako choux and matcha choux!! I love the new summer drink with dango and red bean matcha latte. They tend to add seasonal stuff to their menu so check their insta!“

“I finally had the chance to visit Bomou with my fam and it was a lovely experience from start to finish! We had the lemon meringue tart, bostock (brioche with almonds and flavoured with orange), apple caramel cookies, butter croissant, a piece of pie, a baguette, and an earl grey canele. To drink we had the coffee, an oat milk cappuccino, and the lavender lemonade! We also bought some of the loose leaf mint tea as a gift. Everyone adored what they ordered! All of the pastries were beautiful to the eye and wonderful on the palate! Flavours such as the orange in the bostock, the lemon in the tart and even the earl grey in the canele were fragrant and gentle, never overpowering or overwhelming! Beautiful texture to all the foods and even the drinks were impressive and expertly crafted! Their coffee is some of the very very best I have had in Canada. (Rich and velvety, non-astringent and not-sharp.) If you want a proper cup of coffee you’ll find it here!!! Their lavender lemonade is gorgeous! I love lavender and found this to be a delicate and refreshing combination and recommend you definitely try it out!!! (Plus the bottle is lovely!) We all were impressed with the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff and were amazed by the talent and creativity of their baker/chef! Thank you Boumou for a delicious experience!!!!!“

“Savorology is a delightful spot with some of the best treats I’ve had in a while! The chestnut gelato daifuku was absolutely fantastic, so creamy and flavorful, with that perfect chewy mochi texture around it. It’s a must-try if you’re a fan of chestnut or unique desserts!

They also offer a mochi cake, which was a hit as well. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and chewiness, making it hard to stop at just one slice. My kids enjoyed it too, and I can see us coming back often as a family.

“I am absolutely speechless. I just tried one piece of baklava from Narin Pastry and it was a life-changing experience. It literally MELTS in your mouth! I was in Turkey last year and went to what is considered the best baklava spot in the country, and I can say without a doubt that this is just as good, if not better. My only wish is that this was a full-scale cafe or restaurant because if people knew how good this was, the place would be packed 24/7. I am now on a mission to try every single thing on their menu. “I ordered a birthday cake here the first time. I expected the writings will be placed on top of the retangular cake. There are lots of empty spaces... why they put the writing on a very tiny piece of chocolate and put it at the side of the bottom. It was hardly to see what was in the writing. For what occasion and for who! Quite disappointed! And they charged me a price of $17 more according to their listed price of $65 for a 8"x12" cake. Plus an extra of $20 for the pair of baby shoes (a plastic toy) for decoration. I also tried their bread, also find the textures are hard to chew... I wont return again.“

Took my nieces to Menchie's for a treat, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. I’ve been a fan of this place since my high school days, and I’m happy to say that the quality has stayed consistent over the years. The location is clean, well-maintained, and continues to be a fun spot to enjoy some frozen yogurt with family. One of the things I appreciate most is the variety of flavours and toppings available, which makes it easy to customize your dessert just the way you like it.

When it comes to frozen yogurt, Menchie’s offers a great selection of flavours, but my all-time favourite is definitely the Oreo. It’s rich, creamy, and pairs perfectly with a wide array of toppings. Speaking of toppings, the selection here is impressive. Whether you’re into fresh fruit, candy, or nuts, there’s something for everyone. My nieces had a blast choosing their own combinations, and it’s always fun to see their creative concoctions. However, a word of caution—make sure to pace yourself while enjoying the frozen yogurt, as it’s all too easy to get a brain freeze if you dive in too quickly (especially when it’s as tasty as it is here).

Menchie’s also has a self-serve setup, which adds to the fun of creating your own dessert. You can choose exactly how much yogurt you want, and add as many toppings as you like. It’s great for both kids and adults who enjoy being a bit creative with their food. However, one small downside is that the chairs in the seating area aren’t particularly child-friendly. They’re a bit wobbly and not ideal for younger kids, so if you’re coming with little ones, you’ll need to keep an eye on them while they’re seated. It’s a minor issue, but something to be aware of if you’re visiting with children.

Overall, my experience at Menchie’s was enjoyable, as it usually is. It’s a reliable spot for a sweet treat, and I’m glad this location is still around after all these years. Whether you’re looking for a place to take the kids or just want to indulge in some frozen yogurt yourself, Menchie’s is a great option. Just be cautious if you’re bringing younger children due to the seating, but other than that, it’s a fun and delicious spot to visit.
