“We really enjoyed our time at Pho Ngon Dat Viet today. Pho broth was flavourful with good seasoning. Every dish especially the Com Tam (broken rice) dish was in big portion. I wish there were more thin-sliced beef shank and lemongrass flavour in the Bun Bo Hue but it was already really good. Staff was very nice and understanding (thank you for the lovely photo you took for us). Will definitely return and bring more friends!
Oh and my boy LOVED the strawberry smoothie! He had brain freeze as he was slurping too fast!!!“

“Visited this location twice within the last 4 days. The location is perfect, and the place itself has a nice, old timey, yet slightly modern aesthetic to it. Service is lovely. The star to this place, the reason I am submitting a rating is the food. The pricing is average, nothing special; however, the portions are generous, and the quality, comfort, and warmth of the food is everything you need. Since I’ve been, I’ve craved it every day. It’s extremely comforting, and the food spreads the smile from your stomach into your heart. If you want a delicious, big bowl of Pho, this is your place. I highly recommend, especially on cold days.“

“This was our 2nd visit for lunch. We had chicken pad Thai and Bun Bo Hue today (attached pics) which were as delicious as the Pho combo and Chicken white meat soup that we had a two weeks ago. Flavourful soup, tender meat, reasonable prices for large portion sizes, nice ambience, friendly staff and lots of parking in large plaza. This place has become one of our favourite lunch spots!
Parking: Restaurant is an end unit in a large plaza with lots of free parking. Located behind Imagine cinemas.“

“This meal was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, with the fried rice standing out for its aromatic seasoning, tender shrimp, and vibrant mix of vegetables. The pho complemented the dish beautifully, offering a warm, savory broth paired with fresh herbs and crisp bean sprouts. Together with a pot of tea, it created a satisfying and comforting dining experience ♥️“

5. Grilled chicken, pork, and steamed egg - very tasty

“It was a perfect meal. However, could you possibly use a little less salt on the chicken wings?? They were so salty that my tongue went numb—I wonder if it was a mistake. Still, they were the best chicken wings I've ever had. ??The pho was also delicious. I'll definitely come back!?♀️?“

“Best service, pork chops and atmosphere in the GT. Shout out to server David for a great experience every time! Funny dude. I’ve brought my family and they’ve all loved it… just try it. Special mention to Helen - she really knows what she’s doing by not allowing customers to skip us in line!“

“This place was basically like my second home at school. I would come here almost every day to eat lunch with my boyfriend. Andy, the owner, knew every single person's name. Not only is his service amazing but he is a friend to anyone that walks in. There was a family cultivated there. He always was so generous and the food was so amazing each time - my boyfriend would make fun of me for scraping the bowl. The student discount was also so affordable. I've had so many memories there, and it is the definition of authentic, homey food that makes you feel nice and warm inside. 😋😋“

“I was recommended to try this place specifically for their chicken wings by a complete stranger. Normally I don't take just anyones suggestion for new (to me) food places to check out, but I trusted this person, and am so glad that I did, as I discovered not only some of the very best (and unique) chicken wings I've had in the entire city/GTA, but everything else we ordered was so incredibly flavour-packed and fresh- an instant favourite and new go-to, even if it's a little bit out of our way; definitely worth the trek. The things feature a completely unique and new-to-me flavour, but I loved them so incredibly much. The fine rice vermicelli with grilled beef, chicken, and pork, was INCREDIBLE, each bite so packed with flavour and varying textures- I love the inclusion of thin apple slices, I've not yet seen that. Absolutely delicious. And the pho, incredible as well, as was the mango shake. The place is very clean and cozy, nicely decorated, and staff very friendly and attentive. Wow, so happy to have discovered this absolute gem of a spot- cannot wait for my next visit, so many things I want to try on the menu still- I'm going to bring many people here; it deserves to blow up in popularity!“

“Pho is amazing....loved it...
The porkchop....presentation is good, price is alright but like Ossington's Pho shop, it falls short against Pho Hung's Pork Chop rice.
But all in all it's a nice place to eat.

“This is truly a hidden gem in the GTA. It is among the best pho I have had. The portion is larger than usual where I could barely finish a L even though I normally go with XL or L. In addition to the standard herbs, they also give you Rice Paddy Herbs. Together with pickled garlic and pickled chili, it is indeed a flavor explosion. The place is clean and service is prompt. If you don't care about ambience and only care about the food, I highly recommend giving this a try.“

“Amazing pho. By far the best we've had in the GTA. The soft tendon is actually soft. The flank meat is SO good and tender. Not the biggest fan of their egg rolls (cha gio) - there's maybe celery or something strong tasting in it. Love the beef wraps #99. Great mom and daughter team.“

“I usually go to Metro their competition across the street. But by chance I find out this place has better food n large portion served. It's always packed, kinda crowded hence u are confined to a small table which I don't like normally. But the food is really good n u get bang for your buck. The only complaint I have is the red color of the bbq pork, it makes my soup a sea of red. Please don't use coloring on the pork, I only care about the taste, no more red color. I love the place!“

“Nice place. I had stopped here in between appointments for lunch. I felt like the portion sizes were a little bit smaller than Vietnamese restaurants on the West End (I’m from Mississauga). The restaurant was clean and presentable. I ordered a pho with beef brisket. It was nice. I enjoyed it. If I’m ever in the area, I would probably come back.“

Also, One time i ordered Bun Cha ca La Vong which was supposed to be enjoyed with mam tom that is not friendly to everyone due its smell and taste, so they sent me two different types of sauces and a note to make sure i could enjoy it anyway. Thanks
Btw, viet coffee here is authentic.“

“Nestled in a quiet corner in Unionville, Pho Mi 88 is a delightful gem for anyone craving Vietnamese cuisine. As soon as you step through the door you are greeted by a tantalizing spicy aroma that instantly whets your appetite. The restaurant is immaculately clean with a cozy ambiance that invites you to settle in comfortably.
When it comes to food, Pho Mi 88 does not disappoint. Price is reasonable and the portions are generous with plenty of meat ensuring you leave satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. I tried the green curry pho noodle soup which was absolutely delicious and hit the right spot. No Vietnamese meal is complete without a cup of of their renowned drip coffee. Pho Mi 88 drip coffee is exceptional - rich and aromatic, a true highlight of the meal offering a delightful finish that leaves you refreshed and content.
Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast of Vietnamese cuisine or a newcomer looking to explore new flavours, this restaurant is a must visit.“

“I live in the neighbourhood and have never tried this until today. I’m glad I did as this one will now be one of my go to places for food. We ordered their grilled pork chop and pho lang van and both were amazing. The pho had a really good broth and very much enjoyed it especially we went during winter. Generous portions too. The staff is friendly and service is great. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.“

“If you’re looking for a place that serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine, look no further. I can say with full confidence that my recent experience at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The moment I stepped through the door, the aromas hit me, transporting me back to a life-changing moment—**a vacation in Vietnam** that I’ll never forget. It was on that very trip where I met my wife. We sat side by side on a little street in Hoi An, sharing a steaming bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and gold. Today, sitting in this restaurant and tasting their food brought that cherished memory rushing back, as if I was right there once again, in the heart of Vietnam.
I started with the **spring rolls**, which were a perfect balance of crispy and fresh. Each bite was a textural delight, and the dipping sauce had that unmistakable tang of fish sauce and lime that I remembered so well. I could almost feel the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese street vendors around me. For my main course, I ordered a **bowl of pho**, and let me tell you—it was **divine**. The broth was rich and fragrant, simmered to perfection, with layers of flavor that danced on my palate. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the thin slices of beef melted in my mouth. A squeeze of lime and a handful of fresh herbs on top brought the dish to life. It was like the essence of Vietnam in a bowl. I swear, with each spoonful, I was transported back to that sunset moment when my wife and I first connected over a simple but magical bowl of soup.
The ambiance of the restaurant also added to the experience. It wasn’t just about the food—it was the **feeling**. Soft music played in the background, and the décor had subtle touches of Vietnam, making me feel nostalgic. The friendly staff only enhanced the experience, treating us with kindness and attention to every detail. It felt like they were not just serving a meal but sharing a part of their culture and heritage.
One of the highlights of the night was when I noticed another couple sitting across the room, clearly enjoying their meal as much as we were. It made me smile, knowing that this place has the power to create memories just like the ones I hold so dear. Whether you’ve been to Vietnam or not, dining here feels like a journey—a chance to experience a piece of that beautiful country right here in your own city.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you’re here for a quick meal or a special occasion, you’re in for a treat. The flavors, the atmosphere, the hospitality—everything comes together to create a **truly magical experience**. It’s not just food; it’s a reminder of the beauty of life, love, and the simple joys we often overlook. If you’re lucky, you might even make memories here that you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life—just like I did in Vietnam.
**Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant.** Trust me, it’s worth every penny. Whether you’re a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be back, and every time I do, I know it will bring me right back to those moments in Vietnam, sitting beside my wife, watching the sun go down and savoring the flavors of life in a bowl of noodle soup.
5 stars, without a doubt.“

“My dining experience at La Pho was great! The restaurant environment is comfortable and the waiters are friendly and enthusiastic. The dishes are fresh and delicious, especially their Vietnamese Pho, which has a rich soup base and rich toppings that will leave you with endless aftertaste. It is worth mentioning that their spring rolls are also very delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Highly recommended to friends who like Vietnamese food! I will definitely come again!“

“Amazing food, fast service and had good vibes but it was kind of weird hearing staffs swear. The restaurant is fairly small and quiet since I visited early in the morning and staffs were chatting and swearing loudly. Probably wouldn't bring kids here, but overall really enjoyed my meal.
We got the big platter and mango salad, was too much for 2 people. Also an egg coffee. Food was good, chao tom was okay but everything else was excellent, especially good seasonings on the meat. Portion also didn't disappoint.
Dietary restrictions: They asked about any allergies which was nice“

“This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the North York area. It's pricey but they are generous with the portion. Ordered the hu tieu dac biet dry version - $17 and the Banh xeo - $16.50. Comes with a pitcher of iced tea. I would order these dishes again and again. One of the best I've had. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering.“

“This place offers good food at a very good price. The pho broth is pretty flavourful. I dont believe the taste is very authentic but it really does the job. I got their BBH, decent amount of noodles and toppings. Good amount of meat. The broth is deep in flavour, not as spicy as I wanted it to be.
Parking: Large amount of spots.“

“Some of the best Pho in the city! So happy the pandemic didn’t impact their recipe. Perfect dark brown, clear and fragrant broth containing tender rare beef, noodles and I add veggies. This was what I’d been craving during lockdown. As usual Viet Thai Kitchen didn’t disappoint! 10/10 recommended!“

“A nice Vietnamese place in Pape Village and a nice change within the many dominant Greek restaurants in the area.
The interior is nice and the place is always kept clean. The times I've been here, the food is always good. Pho is definitely worth it here.
Critiques I have of this place could be that music could be played or something, or even a radio channel. The place is kept dead silent, so the atmosphere could be very awkward if no one's talking. Or you could very much be able to eavesdrop on another table's conversation. On the off chance, the staff could be playing some Vietnamese news in the background, but that's pretty much it.
Staff could also try to be more on the friendlier side. They aren't rude, more so cold and straightforward.
Despite everything, I'd still come back here just for the food.“

“Best pho I tried in the GTA. What makes a good pho is when the broth doesn’t make you thirsty and makes you hydrated. Good price too. Highly recommend this place as I tried many different pho in the gta and it always taste too salty or have that msg taste. You know it hydrates you when they don’t use msg for the flavour. As I’m not sure but definitely it’s not overly salty“

“My girlfriend and I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The staff was polite and accommodating, and the service was excellent. I ordered the rare beef soup, and she initially chose the seafood soup, but later decided she wasn’t in the mood for it. The staff kindly replaced it with the same beef soup I had, which she ended up enjoying.
The shrimp roll we shared was delicious, and when it came time to pay, we were pleasantly surprised that they didn’t charge us for the returned seafood soup. I mentioned leaving a Google review, and they even offered us a complimentary juice (normally $7–9).
Overall, we enjoyed the food and service and will definitely return. Pro tip: mention a Google review, and you might score a free juice too!“
