“I called the week before arriving to inquire about a large group seating, the hostess took my name, number and size of party. She asked me to call the day before to confirm, which I did. We arrived earlier than expected and had to wait a little bit so current diners could finish up and give the staff time to setup for the 38 of us. I was very pleased with how friendly and accommodating the staff was for the size of our group. A group of 38 adults and youth hockey players from is a lot to handle. Not one complaint from our large group. I would definitely recommend and will, happily, return when in the area again.“

“We visited Turtle Jacks while on vacation. The food was excellent, but two servers that were in the place were not nice and did not want to serve us. Until Jen who was amazing. We sat there for 30 minutes and the two servers kept walking pass us like we didn't exist. Despite pointing out the online policy, we were forced to pay an extra $40 just to park for our dinner.

​To have an otherwise memorable evening sour over management's refusal to honor their own advertised commitments is deeply disappointing. It feels like a nickel-and-diming cash grab that completely undermines the hospitality they claim to offer. Go for the breathtaking view and the superb kitchen, but prepare to feel taken advantage of the moment you step off the premises.“

“Enjoyed an excellent dinner tonight at Savor. Food was delicious-there were four of us—two of us had the pork chop and the other two had the Swiss burger. Well prepared, juicy, tasty. Would have again. The $30 prix fixe dinner offers appetizer (we had the crab cake and the goat cheese and quinoa salad), main course and dessert (all excellent). Student/servers did a great job. Hats off to the chefs. Will return. Make sure to get a reservation.“

“Been a while since we last popped in for a Messy Chicken Sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the update they have had in the meantime. The booths & chairs have been recovered and the crockery updated so it looks & feels really nice! They even managed to get their AC under control so we did not have to put on jackets as we entered the dining room!
The staff are always lovely here and really helpful.
The food is always reliably good and their fries are awesome (& if I have leftovers because I say no Veg but double the fries pls as I always do they freeze & reheat in my toaster oven like they are brand new!!!)
They have super big booths and I always see tonnes of families there so if you have kids know this is an option!

“Wow , what awesome food! We got lunch here, had hotdogs, buffalo wings and sweet fries and it was all soooo good. The chilli cheese dog was a very generous serving and the chilli had really great flavour. The sweet fries were cooked perfectly and crispy. Buffalo wings were the right amount of spicy and even the coffee was really yum. If you're on the USA side you need to come here! “if you go through my reviews, you'll see that reviewing restaurants is kind of my thing. I love to cook great food so I don't go to restaurants as much as most others do, but when I do go, I have expectations. Also, I have no desire to blow smoke up anyone's butt because I don't want to waste your time or my reputation. food means too much to me to lie to you so it is with pleasure that I write this review about Some Place Else!

let's start with proper expectations. Traditionally speaking, this is NOT a restaurant, it is more of a Tavern/bar that serves food so if you are looking for a fancy place to impress a first date, this is not the place, this might be where you go after the date if you like to sing karaoke but this, for lack of a better word is a blue collar joint!

On to the food. The food served here is simple, every day type food. burgers, fish and chips, wings and the odd sandwich. what makes this place special, is the Owner! I wish I got her name but she came to our table personally and made sure we understand what we ordered, made some suggestions if we wanted to save some money and explained options that were not exactly on the menu. for example, I ordered the philly cheese steak wrap, but she explained that I could also get it on a sub sandwich bun instead of the wrap and offered to cut up some green peppers if I wanted to put in the sandwich. The sandwich was very, very good and I'm so happy she offered the bun instead of the wrap. Also, the french fries are hand cut and tasted like real potatoes.. I didn't try the gravy but I wish I did because this was home made fresh stuff.
my wife got a burger, I tasted it and it wasn't some pre frozen burger patty, it was a home made, real beef burger and tasted nice. I got a look at the wings too and they were nice and big which is nice. The food came quickly and hot and with a smile. the prices were reasonable and the portions sizes were good.
what meant the most to me, is that you could tell that the owner cared about your experience and wanted to make sure you were happy and that, is a recipe for a good meal.

“Well, we drove from N Falls to Welland to try this outstanding pizza and wings. It was outstanding ! Pizza used cup & char pepperoni done to perfection and dough was fabulous. Chicken wings were huge and reminded us of Buffalo wings 20 years ago in Buffalo. No bruises on these wings A1 quality . They actual use butter and hot sauce for the type of wings we chose. Worth the drive and excellent price , staff was amazing .Ryan & Tracey got his down to a science . We'll be back“

Service started out as a 2/10 from 3 servers, when we were seated I asked for a drink menu and was told they didn’t have one (when we were there 2 weeks ago and our server provided us with one). My fiancé spotted our server from 2 weeks ago (Andy) and went over and asked her for a drink menu; in which she reached above her head and gave him one. The server (our original server that started with us tonight) that told me they didn’t have a drink menu never looked in our direction for the rest of the night. She continued to deal with tables around us, but ignored us, and continued to talk with the other servers working & spent 10 minutes standing at a table talking to what we presumed to be friends. Not only was Andy serving the patio, she was also taking care of us and multiple other tables inside. She got our food order, drink orders etc. I went as far as to ask her if they split tips or keep them, and disappointingly she said they split them. We would have tipped Andy heavily if she was alone/getting the tip herself, but was modest in tipping because the 3 other servers would have got it as well. Andy is attentive, friendly, and a 10/10. She really cares about the service you receive!“

I ordered a Miller lite, my friend ordered cocktails and was happy with how good they were. The server was friendly and attentive, took our orders and customized mine with ease, and the other server was also delightful! He would come out and check in when our first server was busy, ask if we needed anything, etc. Overall excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were wonderful! We will return another day ☺️“

“Solid burger but too much grease. Once I opened the foil wrapper I noticed a mild layer of grease all over the buns. I immediately got paper napkins to hold it and wasn't surprised that I needed multiple as I enjoyed the burger. Once I was finished I noticed more pools of emulsifying grease now forming in the cooled foil wrapper. I can see the appeal for smash burgers with a added texture to the meal but personally I can do without them if they are typically going to result in this much excess fats.“

“I have a severe egg allergy, and the kind staff at this location went above and beyond my expectations. I typically get just the gloves changed, just because in the fast food industry I do understand it can be very busy and cross contamination cannot be guaranteed.

The staff who were serving me and my family opened new toppings to make sure my food was not touched by other sauces or toppings that include eggs.
