“Love this restaurant on Ossington, especially in the summer on their patio. The food is delicious, fresh and colourful. The menu changes every once in a while but the breakfast sandwich is great, worth every penny. I also had their veggie sandwich which I don’t think is on the menu anymore but it was perfect, I hope they bring it back They make nice classic cocktails and have a good selection of wines. It’s not pretentious like some of the other restaurants on the strip.“

“visited Himalayan Coffee House with my kids and we loved it! The art coffee was so cute — it looked just like the pictures and my kids couldn’t stop smiling at it. The drinks weren’t super hot (probably because of the coffee art), but they still tasted really good.

The vibe inside is really cozy and the waitress was super nice and helpful. Everything we tried was good and I honestly really enjoyed the whole experience.

Parking was easy too — there’s a Green P lot right across the street, and since I went on the weekend I found a spot with no problem.

Overall, it’s a great little coffee house to relax and enjoy something fun and different. Definitely coming back!“

“I’m not a downtowner, so on a cold evening out there, we were in search for a hot chocolate after reading reviews.
This nice cozy cafe didn’t disappoint us. Loved the hot chocolate here, although we shouldn’t have added the whipped cream as that made it go colder at a faster pace.

“I like that they have some unique options, like the beetroot latte I had today. But just felt compelled to say that it’s socially criminal to promote a drink that’s just with oatmilk as horchata ?. Horchata is with tiger nuts, rice, jicaro, sesame or melon seeds, etc. … but not oat. and it’s disrespectful to both the history of the drink and also to coffee drinkers in T.O for whom oatmilk is nothing special at this point. Seems like a nice enough atmosphere but there were no observed plugs for anyone hoping to study/work on location.“

“2 things which made for a stellar experience:

1. Came in for a decaf iced americano. Usually decaf is on the lackluster side, but their selection was absolutely delicious.

2. I decided to buy an Aeropress on the whim from this place, but then found I'd be eligible for a discount if I bought it straight from the Aeropress website. The staff here were gracious enough to give me a full refund, no questions asked.

“I love this place. Youssef is a great guy. The atmosphere is one that’s very warm and inviting. I just feel very comfortable being there.

Add to that it’s a 7 minute walk from my place.

The desserts, which I promised myself one each weekend, makes the anticipation great. And I’m always happily satisfied . So far I have not been disappointed but rather pleasantly rewarded.

Add to that the place is open beyond 10 pm most weeknights. The perfect place to bring a laptop, knock off a few work emails or just chill after a long day.

I’ve been there 6 times so far and each time it’s becoming more of a place I look forward to going to.

The cold, snowy winters will be better tolerated with a warm spot like this.

“A little hidden oasis in somewhat of a rough patch of the city. Great for cosy dates as well as quiet moments with a book or a laptop. They offer good quality selection of coffee and tea. I liked their choice of music which enhances the overall classy atmosphere. The food and pastry, as well as the service never disappointed us. Warmer months on their patio are equally enjoyable as their indoor environment. Word of caution - you won't like it if you dislike the scent of freshly baked butter-based delicacies.“

Originally visited on September 28! ☺️ I had extra time before a work event and came here for breakfast! I was drawn to the name of the coffee shop, and thought the yellow chairs outside were cute.

For food, I ordered the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and Groovy Smoothie. Everything was soooo fresh!! I had ask the owner his name (Rolando) and told him I could taste how fresh everything was. He was so happy to hear this and shared that he makes everything in the morning! ?☺️

I also asked him where the name Capulus came from and what inspired him to use this name for the cafe, and he said that in Latin, it means coffee.

We chatted a bit about the cafe! His business partner is from the Philippines, which is why they have a lechon inspired sandwich (without the crackling) and she taught him how to cook it. They also have drinks like ube lattes. They're a fusion cafe, which is why their menu has Latin and Asian inspired food! ?

It is a cozy cafe, and I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I did hear Rolando say that they get the same customers coming to the cafe 2 to 3 times a day ? which is sooooo nice! ?❤️

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple of tables outside (see attached photos), but the inside is not wheelchair accessible (the tables and chairs are higher and attached to the walls).“

“Popped in before a picnic and I’m glad I did! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an array of pastries at a cafe before nor had equally good coffee to match!

I ended up getting an iced latte and a Nanaimo bar. The latte was smooth and not bitter at all. The Nanaimo bar was very rich and sweet, so if you’re looking for something less sweet this may not be for you.

The line moved quickly and service was great. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but with the park across the street not many seats were occupied.“

“Hand in marriage PLEASE to whoever came up with Hailed Coffee. I love two things and it’s saffron and cardomomm absolutely delcious. I asked them if they could add some saffron to their cardomomm based coffee and they agreed and it was so good. Also the coffee itself is some of the best I have had. Highly reccomend trying them out if you ever can they are so good. Do note there is no seating so I hope and pray one day they open a cafe location“

“Ari, who I assume is the owner; knows his espresso. I ordered a double shot of espresso and asked him to a double scuro shot of his darkest roast. He did not dissapoint! I don't venture out this area too much, however I will put this coffeehouse in one of the top in T.O.

Decor is on point and service is amazing. I WILL be back. Will be trying the food at another day, am meeting up with friends for dinner!

“A truly unique and refreshing bar.
When we visited, there happened to be a live African live jazz performance surprisingly, the traditional Japanese-inspired interior paired beautifully with the music, creating a really special atmosphere.

There’s so much to take in just by walking around the space; every corner has something interesting to offer. The food was reasonably priced, yet well-executed and delicious.

If you’re looking for a spot to socialize and soak in something a little different, this place is definitely worth a visit:)“
