“It was a very nice visit that we had. The food was great. It was a bit hard to understand how the menu is set up. We mainly went in for the sushi burritos but I got confused trying to order because the menu only says the ingredients for the Poke bowls, and then mentions that sushi burritos were available. The staff was really hard to communicate with and hard to understand. Apparently the same ingredients that go in the poke bowl can go in the burritos but it took us like 10 minutes to understand that from them. They were very friendly but just hard to communicate with. The food was amazing, alot of options for the set menu plus you can make you poke bowl with so much options, they just need to work on the topings pricing because even though you get 2 toppings free for example, some of them are not free even if you picked only one, which didnt make sense to me.The ingredients were fresh and very tasty and is was so loaded neither me or my wife could finish our respective bowls. I think we had the medium bowl, so if you go there keep in mind that one medium bowl serve more than one person. Would go there again now that I have everything figured out 😊 The food was amazing.“

“In a restaurant world dressed up with disingenuous marketing JOEY Yorkdale offers you a magnificent spot outside downtown Toronto that delivers what it promises on their home page, “Our guests, new or old, are not treated just as guests, but as if they are a good friend we are catching up with.” And this was the experience for me and my two close chums who selected this spot primarily because it was the midpoint between our diverse locations. From first arriving, the hostess took the time to offer a complimentary champagne glass and inquire if our visit that day was for a special occasion. It was a reunion and she graciously followed up with pleasant comments establishing a charming mood. When the waitress came to greet us, she also took the time to find out more about the nature of our reunion and only then flawlessly delved into the menu. I understand this is common practice at luxury restaurants; however, I would contend that, although there are dining establishments that treat patrons similarly, it is not simply about what you do but, rather, how well you do it. And this is the reason I am taking the time to write this review: JOEY does it very well. Having frequented several luxury restaurants in downtown Toronto I can anecdotally share with you that there have been far too many occasions when the host and/or server left a poor impression. Whether it is conceited complacency in their brand or even our own bigotry of unrealistic expectations, there seldom is a meeting point of both food, service, and overall impression. The treatment at JOEY was so genuine that it left an indelible impression. Each interaction with the server and hostess throughout complemented our dining experience. We were then surprised with dessert on the house presented on an expansive serving plate with the words “Happy Reunion!” written in caramel. Delicious, delicious caramel. Mmmm, but I digress… Over the years I have written to restaurants far more complaints than compliments and, in retrospect, this is unfair. It takes a team and a culture to create this magic and it can be quite challenging to get it right. When it comes together as well as it did on our visit, it is the sort of joy that can accompany you throughout your day. At JOEY they seem to have captured the right formula and I look forward to returning and catching up with “good friends” that understand that going out to eat today is about so much more.“

“We had such a lovely dining experience at Pickle Barrel!.. The food was absolutely delicious!!! .. our steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. A special shoutout to “LENY”our server, who made the evening even more enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right from start to finish.

“We truly enjoyed a leisurely lunch today at Kelsey's Richmond Hill. We need to give a lot of the credit and thanks to our server, Sarah, who was always there when we needed her. She provided us with some excellent suggestions for food and drinks as well as impeccable service coming from a warm and friendly person. While my wife was thoroughly enjoying a cup of tea and a hearty soup with salad and a sandwich, I was just beside myself with every bite of the mushroom melt burger. The burger and fries were prepared and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend that you try this burger, especially if you love mushrooms. Treat yourself. I was also introduced to a delicious refreshing beer called Muskoka Pineapple Ninja. I've never seen it before and it appears that if I can't find anywhere else I'll have to go back. All in all, this was a perfect afternoon. Also, we have promised ourselves that we are going to do this again next week.“

“This place never disappoints. Roger has been the chef here for eons, even before he bought the place. This wonderful old diner has been around since the early 50's.

The fare is simple and honest. Don't expect haute cuisine. What you can expect is great service, good prices and honest working person's food.

I tried the grilled chicken club on rye and could not finish it. Very tasty. My partner had her usual Con Beef Hash with scrambled eggs and rye toast.

“Gabby’s – Guildwood Village Shopping Centre Four of us visited Gabby’s in the Guildwood Village Shopping Centre yesterday for lunch. The restaurant opened last year, and this was our first time there. After seeing so many great reviews online, we decided to check it out. We were greeted right away and seated where we preferred. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and helpful in guiding us with our drink choices. Between the four of us, we ordered: Chicken wings with fries Onion rings Garlic bread Buffalo chicken wrap with fries Braised beef stone-fired pizza Everyone agreed the food was excellent. I had the pizza, and it was sensational—the beef was tender and perfectly portioned, pairing beautifully with the onions and mushrooms. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, whether you’re enjoying a meal on the patio, dining indoors, or sitting at the bar surrounded by plenty of TVs. Service was impeccable. The washrooms were very clean, though they are located in the basement. If you’ve had a few drinks, you might prefer the accessible washroom on the main floor, as the stairs are steep. We all agreed we will definitely be back—there are so many other tempting menu items we want to try. The amazing service we received from Sarah made the experience even more enjoyable. “Was there Monday September 29th 2025 overall was a good experience wife and I both ordered the 11oz New York steak only thing I can say is 4 different waiters kept comming to see how the food was first time a female waiter came litterally as the plate was put infront of me I didn’t even have my fork in hand yet steak was way to salty and extremely over done with pepper aswell the waiter Mathew that was behind the bar was beyond amazing guy he even made sure he could help with a sealed dads rootbeer to take home to put on my shelf of dads stuff lol“

“The food here is consistently good. However, I’ve noticed that the quantity of side dishes, like home fries, tends to vary depending on the time of day. If you visit in the morning, you’ll get decent service and a good portion size, but after lunch, the side portions are noticeably smaller. The level of service can also vary depending on which staff member is serving that day.“
