“Picked up ice cream cupcakes for Autism Ontario event today! They were an amazing treat on a hot day! My kids were very surprised and super grateful for such things! Thank you to the lady owner that spoke to me and held on to the treats as I was unable to pick them up before! She really made my kids day! My son who is autistic said it was the most delicious treat ever 😍 thank you for your generosity! We will be back to enjoy more treats in the future for sure! 🥰🥰🥰“

“I stopped by Alia’s today and had a great experience. I’ve been wanting to try their gelato for a while, and I finally did. The Kinder Bueno gelato was delicious, you can really taste the Kinder, hazelnut, and chocolate. I also tried their macchiato, which was excellent and nice and strong. Highly recommend this place! The staff member working today, Mo, was extremely kind and helpful.“

“We've been going to Crema Di Gelato for years, and it's the only place we go for gelato because they are simply the best! Every visit is consistently amazing! The gelato is always incredibly fresh, rich, and creamy. Our absolute favourites are the French Vanilla and Mango, which are both packed with flavour and never disappoint.

One thing that really stood out to me was learning from their website that they use buffalo milk in their gelato. That explained so much as the taste is so unique and wasn’t paired with the common dairy side effects. For anyone with dairy sensitivities, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!“

“Purple Pony is a very cute little ice cream shop with lots of flavors to choose from. And, the portion size is generous. Loved the cute outdoor seating area, particularly nice for a summer afternoon / evening. The long queue kind of explains the popularity of the place among the locals.

“Our fav is their Half and Half. Tried a few flavours and all seem to be perfect. What we don’t like is the absurd self-made rule of stop serving milk shakes 15 mins before closing. Turned around two times now for being 2 mins late and the excuse that they just washed the blenders. They should honour the customer rather than giving these excuses. When your closing time is 10pm then you should be serving everything on the menu until that time or change your closing time to 9:45pm and ask your people to start washing blenders after that. Good food is one thing but having such an attitude towards customer destroys everything. The owner or whoever is making these rules should take notice“

“Crazy Cravings came to our event on extremely short notice (our planned truck cancelled last minute). When I spoke to Jeff on the phone to inquire (literally a few hours before our event), he was so kind and professional. They came directly from another event and arrived right on time with smiles on their face and their beautiful trucks stocked with yummy treats! The two ladies working were very kind (between 8-8:30 pm, Feb 13th), especially the one who served my Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pistachio Almond, and Rocky Road scoops. She patiently answered all my questions about the prices, which I truly appreciated. We went just before 5pm so it wasn’t busy at all. We were served right away!

My go-to here is always a Sundae with Hot Fudge and Cherry toppings - absolute delish.

You also can’t go wrong with a large Chocolate Dipped Cone.“

“It was a pleasant surprise when we tried the coconut flavour. I would say it was my favourite so far. Service is quick and as friendly as you can get from a teenager since staff is about that young. It looked like they had no AC working so I felt bad for the girls and it felt very stuffy and that time but I do recommend the spot when you crave an ice cream in one of the warm sunny days along with the lake view.“

“Went for a quick treat with dad as other location on king/Ottawa was packed. Was in and out at this location.

Sucks they got rid of the bench out front,.but because of the neighborhood I can understand why.

I would encourage this location to not allow drug users to hang around their parking lot and taking up parking spaces. As I sat and had my ice cream, people came and left once they seen the drug users sitting there passed out.
Maybe get together with the store hire security to discourage this behavior.

Would be nice to have a small table out front instead having to sit in my hot car.. bring back the bench.“

“I went there and got 100 puffs which you are supposed to only order in advance but the guy working there was super nice and allowed us to order it if we waited for him to make it which wasn't a problem. We got 4 different flavours and they were all really good, especially the cookies and cream ones. Nice location as well“
