“We ordered various dishes off the menu for pick up at 6 and the food was ready right on time,exactly as ordered , hot and delicious. We live nearby so picked it up and paid cash as you get a free menu item over a certain amount if you do this. We chose the sweet and sour spare ribs as our extra and were pleased as they were not only delicious but boneless! We will definitely order from 5 Star again. ?“

When the order was done sooner than expected, she got my attention instead of having me wait and come back inside. Friendly every time I visit. Good is consistently good. Came in with my cousins to get some takeout, the owner spoke to us and offered a lot of options since it was our first time they also gave us extra plates and utensils and extra of basically everything. The wait time was about 10-15 minutes, we had finished a movie and all of us were thirsty and the owner had provided us with water aswell! Highly recommend Calypso Queen in Whitby! “It’s hit or miss, but when these guys decide to cook up a delicious meal, they deliver. My only feedback is that they need more flavour in their rice. Maybe a little oyster sauce and sesame oil? It’s very bland tasting.General Tao chicken (although I think they recently changed the coating), Singapore noodles (needs a little more curry but the shrimp is always cooked to perfection) and mushroom egg foo young are the best around.“
