“This is our go-to spot for crepe cakes! They’re very cheap for the quality and in comparison to many other cafes/bakeries that sell crepe cakes. We’ve tried the Oreo, mango and Earl grey crepe cake, and they were all so delicious. The cakes were not too sweet which suited our taste. The store is in the underground parking lot, and once you enter, there’s the sweet aroma of cake.

The crepe cake is very delicate with many layers as pictured. The mango crepe cake was great for mango lovers as there was a lot of fresh mango. The earl grey crepe cake was great as well because there was a strong tea flavour and it wasn’t too sweet. There was also an Earl grey jelly on the top layer of the cake. We come here every birthday to order crepe cakes because although crepe cakes are usually the most expensive, X-Cake sells delicious crepe cakes for an affordable price.

We came back for the earl grey crepe cake again and it was delicious as usual. We also tried the mango purple rice crepe cake which was not too sweet, and the purple rice added a unique flavour which we enjoyed!“

This place is hands-down one of my favorite spots for drinks! Their lime and lemon green tea is so refreshing and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, just super clean and vibrant. And the mango pomelo sago? Incredible. You can really taste the quality in every sip — fresh ingredients, great textures, and flavors that actually feel premium.

The drinks aren’t just tasty — they’re consistent and thoughtfully made. You can tell they care about the quality.

“This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“

“Super cute little cafe! We really enjoyed our drinks. We got the latte donut and the butterfly latte (non-caffeinated). For the donut latte they pour it in front of you, allow you to try it and they add some more. Which I found pretty cool. The staff working was very kind, helped us decide what to get by recommending and patiently explaining. The cafe is a bit small with probably around 10 seats. We came on a Friday at around 2:30 and lucky was able to get a seat. Their drinks are a bit pricey though, the donut latte was around $10 and the butterfly latte was around $7. I believe they are also pet friendly. Would definitely come again, loved the vibes!

“Two things will tell you if you’re at a good location.1. Exceptional staff and baristas who don’t miss a beat, and 2. The quality and taste of the Nitro Cold Brew. And this location won me at that.I’m a bit particular about the taste of Nitro, and if its pulled wrong or the ratio of water that is mixed in is wrong, it can throw the flavour off. If the tanks and lines aren’t cleaned properly you can get a bitter or strange tasting beverage. There are a lot of moving parts in making sure the cold brew is up to par, and is usually a good indicator as to how much care the staff takes in preparing the cold brew (and likely everything else). That litmus test is what I personally use to know if I want to keep going to a location or not, and I never have issues here.Also special shout-out to JC who knew exactly what I wanted from my Nitro beverage. “Miss Lean Café is a cute and quiet spot tucked away in Markham. It’s not the kind of place you stumble on by chance. You have to know it’s there. But once you find it, it’s a pleasant surprise. The space feels calm and peaceful, with a charming countryside China aesthetic. It’s relaxing, airy, and has a soft atmosphere that makes you want to take your time.

The vibe is definitely Asian and specifically Chinese, but not in an overwhelming way. It gives off the feeling of a slow, fresh morning in a village setting. Very simple, very nice.

The ordering process is digital. You scan a QR code at your table, place your order on your phone, and then the food and drinks are brought to you. It’s all very smooth. The service is fast and polite. Once you’re done, you head to the front to pay at the counter with a very lovely lady who makes the experience even more pleasant.

As for the food, I wouldn’t say it’s outstanding. It’s nice to look at and clearly made with care, but it does lack a bit of depth in flavour. A bit more sweetness or spice in some of the dishes would go a long way. That said, nothing was bad. It’s all fresh and decent. Just not the kind of flavours that linger or surprise you.

The presentation is where Miss Lean really shines. Everything is visually beautiful and very Instagrammable. The desserts especially are colourful and well plated, and the drinks come with nice little touches like a tray and cookies, which add a bit of personality.

Price-wise, it’s fair. Not cheap but not overpriced either. It sits comfortably in the mid-range for cafés of this style.

In short, Miss Lean Café is a lovely spot to relax with pretty food and good service. I wouldn’t necessarily go for bold flavours, but I would definitely return for the vibe and the calm experience.“

“When you enter, the interior design looks very modern and advance. You entered through two glass doors and you can see their pastries on the display case. Everything is spaced nicely. We ate a vanilla custard that was tasty. The filling taste like egg with vanilla extract and the outer shell is crisp. Overall, it was a good experience to try!“

“Ordered Panera Bread for a work function by Uber Eats. The sandwiches were tasty but lacking toppings I found. Maybe they felt rush to make that many sandwiches that they did they as quick as they could. Presentation wasn’t the best but they still tasted fine. The bread was also nice and crunchy“

“Can't comment on the food, but I've been to Rica Cafe a couple of times now and I liked it. It's tucked away in King Square mall, but it has an outdoor patio facing Markland and 16th avenue. Unfortunately when we came this time the patio wasn't open because it was too windy.

The lady who works here is very kind. She made a decaf coffee fresh for my brother who can't drink caffeine. She was also very patient with us with the menus.

It is a little bit of a tight squeeze in terms of seating, so I can imagine it feeling a little crowded when busy.“

Started off with complimentary garlic bread (which was a nice touch) and fried calamari that was super good! 👍🏼 We were all excited for the mains and they did not disappoint! 😋 Such a healthy portion for the ‘small plate’!
