“My favourite restaurant in the area to get sushi for pickup. The rolls are fresh and good quality at a reasonable price. They have plenty of seating for dine in, but it seems to me that the majority of their business is pickup as I rarely see a large group of people eating in. My only complaint is that they always take longer than they quote to complete your order. I would recommend adding 10 min to whatever you are told over the phone when you order.“
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our five-year-old daughter spotted the place; so on a whim we tried it, and we love it. Now we come as a family all the time. There is such a wide variety of food choices, everything is so tasty. Little Kamaria’s favourite is the Seafood Bat Pizza, I can’t get enough of the Korean wings. Mom loves their unique take on Nachos. Each visit we’ll try another new dish! The staff are super friendly too.“
“We went as a group of 4, and ordered everything on the menu. I really appreciate their use of different textures. There’s a lot of depth in their flavor pairing as well. Overall the dishes can be a bit too sweet for my liking. The sweetness is subtle at first, i only started realizing that later on as more dishes are served and i found myself thinking oh this is getting a bit heavy. Still really enjoyed my experience at lake Inez! It’s quickly becoming one of mg favourite spots in the city.“
“A phenomenal meal that l will go down as one of the best I have ever had. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and couldn't have asked for anything better. We were there for almost 2 hours, but service was wonderful and attentive throughout and the dishes in the tasting menu were all so unique and special. We arrived shortly after they opened on a weekday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Because of that, Chef Liu came out and served us a bonus dish that ended up being our favourite of the night. Definitely made our experience a memorable one.“
“The food was amazing. Price is good the taste. Service is ok. I told the waiter to add an extra bao for to go instead the order came all 3 together. Server said he is going to make sure another one will be ready for to go but then they didn't give & I didn't ask for it. But the food was so good. Specially wagoo beef was so good.“
“Our dining experience at Mr. Fish surpassed our expectations. The House Sauerkraut Soup was brimming with rich, intense flavors and was served in a very generous portion. The Spicy BBQ Basa fish dish stands out as the best fish dish I've had in a long while. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's sure to impress.“
“Fantastic food and service, and excellent value. The chef's counter dining experience was a generous 12 course meal, and the chef added a few more on top of that. It is one of best tasting menus I've ever had. Filipino fusion cuisine was very well executed. This may be my new favourite restaurant in Toronto.“
“I love this place. The staff were very warm and welcoming. They brought out appetizers immediately upon sitting and helped us with our order. The meat cut selection was rather diverse compared to other bbq places and the food was very good.“
“The service was over the top! The food, based on the menu may give the impression of a large portion of food however, the portions are tapas style and you will not feel stuffed like you do at other places. The food is excellent and Michelin Star! My hat's off to the Chef! The price is what you would pay for a Michelin Star restaurant. It reminded me of Le Bernardin in Manhattan!“
“Love it here! The food, service and vibe are all excellent. My favourite dishes are pad thai and pad ma kher (eggplant and rice). I’ve never had pad ma kher before, and I absolutely fell in love. And I don’t even like egg plants. Highly recommend ?“
“Excellent customer service and they explain everything clearly when you ask, amazing food that every single family member agrees to. Honestly this is my go to place from now on. Has a really home cooked vibe to the meals. So delicious, I'm a new fan for sure???“
“Fabulous experience!!We booked a bday party here and the place was PERFECT!! we had about 40 people give or take on a Saturday night coming in and out and the music along with the vibes were fantastic. The service was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful evening!Highly recommend booking your event here- Gordon, was amazing at setting up and answering any questions we had. Booking was smooth and they worked with us to have the best layout.Food was lovely, drinks were boozy and the night was amazing.Thank you team for making it a perfect night! ??“
“We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. Each dish comes with bubble tea or soup (both delicious). My husband loved his dish (lemon grass pork Chop), i ordered red wine beef stew, and it was good, but be aware it is served boiling hot, and it has a LOT of pepper. I found it fine, but my husbands dish was flavorful whilst I didn't finish mine because it was too much pepper.“
“Came in for dinner and the restaurant was surprisingly not busy. The environment was cute and pleasantly clean. My friend and I ordered combo 2 for 2 people along with dumplings and siu mai. Food was delicious and reasonable priced. Friendly staff and fast service. Also got free mango pudding. We’ll come back to try the Peking duck. Also recommend if you are within the area.“
“Came here on a Wednesday evening with my colleagues and the place was pretty full! Servers were great and friendly and the food tasted great. Our favourites were the slaw, soft shell crab, ribs and beef stew. I can't comment on the price to quality ratio as it was a company dinner but the food was tasty!“
“Totally forgot to take a picture to tell you guys how BLOODY yum the misal pav, vada pav, sev puri & gulab jamun tiramisu was. I had THE spiciest misal pav and THE most amazing tiramisu. Hands down I’m a big fan of POPpadum! Great job guys!“
“Great and delicious food. Came here second time and the waitress remembered about my dietary restrictions, which is really sweet and attentive! They also have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options! The sushi is on point, very fresh and flavourful. I would definitely suggest trying the crunchy roll and japchae. Bento boxes are great too. Korean signature are worth trying and in the end don’t forget to have ice cream for dessert - red bean and green tea are greatWill be coming back for sure“
“A cozy place to dine with too notch service and food. Upon arrival, we were among the first guests to dine in today. Greeted with warm welcomes and such a pleasant experience with the staff and chef (3 person show running the restaurant) throughout. We were given outstanding service, one that would only be expected in a more posh environment. Now to the food, we had the beef tartare, risotto, steak frites and matcha ice cream to finish. Before apps, we were given a complimentary shot of cocktail mix as well as a Polaroid pic taken by the staff for valentines week (also got a bottle of sparkling wine on the house for a no phones out during dinner). The beef tartare was good with more of an Asian take to it. There wasn’t the usual egg yolk in this version, but rather served with some sesame seeds, and crispy noodles on top (similar to that of my hometown Tomato Noodles in Kuching, Sarawak). It was crunchy, salty and acidic without any of it overpowering one another. The risotto is an interesting take and to be honest, not my style but still admirable to those who want to venture a different take to it. It’s more acidic than the standard creamy risotto, served with steamed bok choy, fried shallots and some barley. The steak frites is hands down, the most delicious, juiciest, charred and perfectly done medium rare beef sliced up nicely like a deck of cards laid out. I don’t enjoy eating steak outside that much because most restaurants don’t do it right / the way I enjoy it. But this, just done every bit to my liking. The char was on point, the flaky salt to finish perfect to the tongue, the butter mixture to top it off is a nice touch to bring it the flavours of the beef more. Definitely going in my top lists of places to go back to for steak without complaining about it later lol. Oh forgot to mention, red wine was complimentary for the steak as part of their promo ?.All in all, a very pleasant experience and will definitely go back to taste the mushroom dishes that were not available today. Might try the glass noodle dish instead next time. Thank you for the great experience and yummy food. It’s difficult to get decent quality meals nowadays with the restaurant boom in Toronto. Terima Kasih!“
“Incredible spot! My partner and I have been here over a dozen times and each time has been excellent. The team here is super friendly, great set-up in each bay and just all around a great set-up. Just celebrated his birthday this weekend and team went out of their way to make sure everything was flawless. Thank you so much, we love this place!!“
“Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a meal at Patois. We ordered the prefixed tasting menu and boy did it deliver! Great variety in the dishes cooled and you could really see the efforts made to fuze Asian and Caribbean cooking. We especially enjoyed the bo lo bao burger and fried chicken. Washed everything down with a cold bottle of Red Stripe. I almost felt like it was my birthday with how much I enjoyed. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!“
“What a GREAT discovery! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Panda Pavilion is an excellent Asian Fusion restaurant, located on the south side of Lakeshore, just East of Cawthra, at #730 Lakeshore. This very reasonably priced restaurant came very highly recommended, and after I tried the food today, I can tell you that the 'food exceeded the recommendation and the expectation!' I had the 'Shrimp Cigars' and the 'Chicken Pad Thai - lightly spiced and not too saucy,' and the food was delivered hot, fresh, and deliciously prepared - exactly as I ordered it! The Owner/Chef, Robbie, has trained under Master Chefs from Thailand, China, Malaysia, and Singapore! He has been expertly preparing these truly sumptuous dishes, for well over 30 years! I highly recommend that you go to Red Panda Pavilion, with family & friends! Like me... you'll LOVE IT! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dan Bodanis Mississauga Ontario August 3 2022“
“the restaurant has such a cute back story and every dish was mindfully created based on the chef’s own experiences and relationships! I love how he shares all these stories on the wall and menu! cozy and warm atmosphere, good for hanging out!yummy food - Highmountain Tauren (the cloud egg is so unique!!), Heat-is-Coming (nice flavours and crisp!)our server was very sweet and attentive! will definitely be back to try other dishes!“
“Came here a couple years ago and finally had the chance to come eat here again recently! My friend and I got the thali dish with mutton and it was definitely still as yummy as I remember it! My friend also got the mango lassi and it was super yummy! Would highly recommend if you’re in the area!“
“I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for many years now and everything always meets expectations. Servers are always friendly, the food is always delicious, and it's such a cozy place. The sushi, gyoza, and noodles never disappoint.“
“Always reliable for fresh, delicious food. For the first time in the two years we’ve been ordering, something went haywire in our delivered order. After a quick chat, they were quick and apologetic to fix the issue. We will keep going back!“
“The pizzas are one of the best in the town. My 100% go to place for a slice of pizzas on a regular day. The service is good too but little cold dine in area as is right next to the door , although is well ventilated. The tables are most of the time clean and tidy. Not too busy too on week days.“
“Hakka N Jerk offers a tantalizing fusion of Hakka and Jamaican cuisine. With dishes like Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls and Hakka Chili Chicken, schezwan fried rice the menu bursts with flavor. Friendly service make it a top pick for a memorable experience.“
“There's something magical about Yonge Street after dark, and Ehwa Uptown captures that essence perfectly. My friends and I, always on the lookout for our next late-night haunt, decided to give Ehwa a try around 1 AM. To our delight, the place was buzzing with energy, yet we were lucky enough to have reserved a table for our sizable group of 12.From the moment we stepped in, the service at Ehwa was nothing short of stellar. Despite the bustling crowd, our drinks and a tantalizing array of Korean dishes arrived at our table with surprising speed. It's not every day you find a spot that combines efficiency with such a warm atmosphere, making every guest feel special despite the late hour.Ehwa's ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and lively, providing the ideal setting for late-night conversations and laughter among friends. But what truly sets Ehwa apart is its menu. The Korean cuisine here is authentic and flavorful, with each dish designed to complement the drinks menu perfectly. Whether you're in the mood for some hearty meals or just light snacks to pair with your drinks, Ehwa has you covered. For anyone wandering Yonge Street in search of a lively spot for late-night drinks and delicious Korean food, Ehwa Uptown is a must-visit. The combination of great food, drinks, and the welcoming vibe makes it a standout choice for night owls and foodies alike. My friends and I are already planning our next visit, eager to explore more of what Ehwa has to offer. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“
“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“
“6/5 stars for everything, the ambiance, the service and the amazing food! We ha the Katsu bun, surf and turf wraps, the eggs and the miso ice-cream, everything, from the portions to the sauces to the presentation was perfect. Tapas-style Asian fusion cuisine (never been my favourite but this spot changed my mind). Highly recommended for a date night (very small and cozy spot) for a very cool and pleasant night out.“
“Such a cute place to sit with a group of friends or on a date! They have mirrors and Tibetan art everywhere. There's a lot of space, with a lower sitting area by the bar in the back.Their momos, egg drop soup, and fried rice is amazing !! My personal favorite was the steamed chicken momos but I will definitely order the chili momos again next time because the sauce was delicious.Their prices are great for the amount and quality of the food (eg. 10 momos per order, large plate of fried rice to share between 2 people). The service was also great, the whole team was attentive and friendly.I'll definitely be coming again!“
“Thank you for a wonderful party on Saturday! The food was fantastic, as always. There was lots of variety and even plenty of great food for the vegans and gluten-free guests. The attentive, caring service was amazing. The attention to detail was fantastic. You made our celebration memorable for everybody. I know we will all be talking about the evening for years to come. A fabulous experience.“
“Fresh, crispy and hot bungeoppang (or taiyaki) filled with creamy custard is the perfect snack to go! Surprisingly, the custard isn't too sweet so it is so balanced in flavor. Although it may seem pricey, it always makes me come back for more. Note that you have to bring cash though.“
“The Kalbi Burger Combo was the best burger I've had in Toronto PERIOD. Decided to try something new and give this place a chance and I haven't had a burger that good since before I lived in the States... Sorry I don't have photos because I are it too fast. amazing. Will be returning.Oh and the poke tacos are good too ;)“
“WOW. JUST WOW. Where do i even begin. 11/10 easily. The food is amazing, so amazing to the point where i feel tears run down my face every time I eat there. The food is ALWAYS fresh and the portion sizes are amazing for the price. You can tell that the food is made with a lot of thought and love. On top of having great food the customer service is extremely good, the employees are extremely friendly and kind. 11/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND“
“Feels like your own living room, the vibes are immaculate. Very cozy, intimate, laid back. We got the scallop ceviche, spicy shrimp ceviche, and green curry mussels. The food was alright, the shrimp and mussels were 7/10, the scallop was a bit too salty. Overall great vibe, will come back to try more stuff on the “
“Absolutely amazing chinese dumpling shop. Excellent wonton soup and the atmosphere, I mean wow. Although the bathroom is very nice, it is downstairs and therefore not wheelchair accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible“
“An enjoyable BBQ dinner, where you get to cook your own meal in a semi-private setting. Large variety of meats, starters and sides. Very accommodating for those with celiac or are gluten free by choice. Must say it was very affordable as well and their daily happy hours look pretty good.Dietary restrictions: Attention paid to a variety of different diets and requirements.“
“This is the best all you can eat I’ve ever tried here. It has bunch of options. Everything is delicious. I used to order separated drinks from my all you can eat option, until I realized I can have fountain soda for the same price so, keep in mind. The service gets slow after you get few orders but it is understandable. Nice servers and clean place. I really enjoyed and I will keep going.“
“So happy we found this gem! Have ordered twice for delivery and both my husband and I have been very pleased with the quality. The dim sum items are quite small in comparison to what you might get in other restaurants, but the taste makes up for it.“
“Amazing atmosphere. Spacious between tables. Waiter service for my table was exceptional. Beauitful view and sunset. Food prepared and served quickly. Great Valentine dining menu; desert choices were a little more limited. Definately recommend for special occasion. (Sad to mention reception's first reaction to my table change request was not welcoming, as there were enough table to switch with while my booking was one of the earliest few.) Very very good experience overall.“
“Amazing. Fresh super busy food doesn’t sit long. The crispy ginger chicken is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I’m surprised the owner recognizes me as I’ve only been 3 times. This was the first place I ate at outside my house for 3 years we didn’t because of Covid. Now I go every Friday. It’s a hidden gem and a must try. Be careful you may get addicted.“
“Went in for the milk fish but it was not available until later that day, yet there was no disappointment. We ordered some cold beers on tap that were delicious and on sale. Then we decided on the pork nachos and a skewer plate. Holly smokes the food was outstanding! I have never tasted a giant pile of awesome nachos prepared that way before. Wow, you got to check it out. The skewers were amazing and that unique Filipino love sauce was all there. We were treated like kings while we ate and drank our faces off. I am so glad we dropped by early in the day, by night there must be a line up to get in there. Yes, it is that good. I can't wait to get back and hit the rest of the menu and damn certain to get my share of the milk fish. This place is a GEM. Limited in space, so choose your time wisely.“
“I've visited this place numerous times, and each time has been nothing short of fantastic. The food is consistently among the best in town, and the service is always fast and incredibly friendly. The Ping Gai chicken and rice dish is particularly outstanding and stands out as my favorite chicken dish in the entire town. I'm eagerly anticipating returning for another visit, especially to enjoy the even friendlier atmosphere on the patio“
“We went in at off-peak hours and basically had the whole place to ourselves. The restaurant was clean. We were served jasmine tea while browsing through their menu. Our fresh rolls were made fresh as the battered shrimp was still hot to touch when it arrived at our table. The stock in the chicken pho was amazing and well flavored. The beef stock for the rare beef pho was average but still very good (just didn't stand out from other shops). Portions are more than fair - the regular bowl has really large portions in my opinion. I would definitely come back and enjoy another bowl on a cold winter day.“
“sushi was pretty good, and service was friendly but very slow and somewhat forgetful? (minor things like not getting us enough sauce dishes.) we did however, visit late at night, and there were only two people working on our large order.it’s korean style sushi, and comes out with black rice. the platters were all nice, and so was the yubu, but the one item i wouldn’t recommend is the spicy crab yubu.there was also an 18% gratuity added on which is 100% reasonable considering we were a group of 8, but i didn’t love that it wasn’t mentioned at all nor was it written on the menu or any sign.overall it met my expectations, and it’s nice that it’s open so late.Vegetarian options: a decent number of options for vegetarians, but we are mostly pescatarian so there was an amazing number of optionsKid-friendliness: casual spot that accommodated the 4 kids we brought“
“I've been going to Corner since it first opened, and Corner always goes above and beyond expectations. They consistently offer amazing value: delicious food at good prices. Highlights include: hot food is actually served hot and not warm so you know it's fresh, salmon sashimi is beautifully fatty and thick-cut, and hand rolls and maki rolls have a moderate amount of rice. The thai tea is my favourite drink to get here and it comes in a huge mug with a salty milk foam on top. 10/10 experiences.“
“It has become a tradition to enjoy dinner at Fresh Rolls after getting my hair cut (nearby). Love their fresh rolls so much! Yesterday I had one of their curry dishes and coconut rice and it hit the spot. Always clean, prompt nice service. Their mango smoothie is also fantastic!“
“We tried the onigiris only. One spicy salmon and one bulgogi, and it was quite hard to eat. Or maybe we dont know how to properly open it. My biggest problem with the place is that the toilets were not working when we went and couldn't wash our hands. The onigiri itself was really good though. Just nothing WOW imo.“
“I was visiting the People’s Pint to acquire some yummy dark beer and saw the food truck out front. Hmmmm.., I thought. Vietnamese tacos. Let’s check it out. My buddy and I got the fish taco and I got the Saigon chicken. Both had a ton of toppings, similar to what would be on a bánh mi , but in a soft taco shell. The sambal crema and hot sauce (not too hot BTW) perfectly complemented the flavours and textures of the tacos. The prices were more than fair at $11 and $13 because they were huge and had very high quality ingredients. Both were amazing, but I probably liked the chicken more just because it was heartier and the ratio of chicken to veg was more to my liking. The fish was incredible too. More fish would probably not have been cost effective, but fewer toppings might annoy customers who judge value on quantity/price rather than quality of ingredients. It’s a tight rope for any business, and there’s still a perception that street food should be cheap. I am privileged enough that I can choose to pay more for quality instead of always focusing on price. I’d rather eat out less often and pay a fair price for something I’ll really enjoy than to just go out because I don’t want to cook or just want something to “fill the hole”. These guys were great, the food quality and quantity was great, and the prices are very reasonable. My only quibble is that they should get Coke Zero or Diet Pepsi for folks who don’t love Diet Coke. I’ll be back. You should go!“
