50 Best Chicken Restaurants near York

“once again jaspreet & poabin at the stoney creek hwy 8 location were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G“

“I had an amazing experience at Popeyes! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming aroma of freshly cooked food set the tone. Their fried chicken is absolutely top-notch—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The spicy chicken is a game-changer for anyone who loves bold flavors, while the classic version is just as satisfying.“

“I visited this location today. They were very friendly and provided great customer service. The restaurant was clean during my visit, and the overall environment was pleasant. The staff was very cooperative. If I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely stop by.“

“Food is halal , so everyone has opportunity to have within reasonable price. Service is good , if you feel anything about the food, they will change it immediately. Atmosphere depends on the are, sometimes it's not that clean due to rush area.“

“the dutty chicken sandwich , chicken n waffles are tasty! oh and the mac n cheese is yummy 😋“

“super testy chicken fried 😍😋“

“Everything was perfect! One of our favourite places.“

“Ordered the Loaded Poutine with Chicken Bites, the gravy was delicious, the cheese curds were perfect, the container was practically over flowing, the chicken bites was juicy, perfectly breaded! It was so filling only ate half, brought the rest home! Juicy Birds in Hamilton on Concession Street! 10/10 will be back, immediately recommended it to friends!“

“We visited this location for lunch today and found it to be fairly quiet and not very busy. We ordered two chicken sandwiches along with a chicken box meal that came with wedges.

The chicken was fresh, juicy, and pleasantly non-greasy, which sets it apart from many other fried chicken places. The sandwiches were good overall, though a bit more seasoning or flavor would have made them even better.

The chicken box included three pieces of chicken and wedges, and both were served fresh and hot. The wedges were especially impressive—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and cooked perfectly.

The service was really fast and friendly. Parking is also free as the plaza has free parking.

Overall, the food was enjoyable, the quality was solid, and everything tasted fresh. While there is some room for improvement in the sandwich flavor, this is a good option for fresh fried chicken and delicious wedges.“

“DJ at the Parkdale location is the best! We came in to try the Reaper and she made the ordering experience so fun. She was hilarious and supportive- gave us gloves and extra pickles because.. reaper! Obviously the chicken is amazing. Beware of the reaper though friends.“

“Some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the city! Great staff and service as well. Never disappointed after a visit here.“

“best chicken in town love the spicy big mary“

“It’s better then KFC Cheese stick OMG🤤best I’ve ever had The spicy 🌶️ pastas ou 😋 So I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Me and my friend came here today and ordered the gangnam fried chicken and the cheese one aswell. The cheese fried chicken was probably the best fried chicken I’ve had, I highly recommend it. But what made this place a true 5 star was the customer service. Our server was Yubin and he made sure to frequently check up on us. The playlist was really good, they were playing 2000s throwbacks and it made me nostalgic too. Very glad I came here!“

“The best Korean chicken !! Great service and yummy food !!“

“The customer service was incredibly fast and the manager Mohammad knew exactly what I needed. He was so thoughtful and helpful! I haven’t received such good customer service in a long time at any Popeyes! I hope he gets recognized for his customer service.“

“It’s better then KFC Cheese stick OMG🤤best I’ve ever had The spicy 🌶️ pastas ou 😋 So I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“First time trying tonight and will definitely be back next time we’re in Toronto!! Chicken was amazing, and the man working was awesome!“

“Do not order from that branch, the works and owner do not provide a good service like any branch. Not recommended“

“I stopped by Union Chicken at Union Station recently. The standout here is definitely the flavour, the kitchen has absolutely mastered the seasoning, and everything tasted delicious. However, there are a few execution details holding the experience back. First, the food temperature was disappointing. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and fries, and it arrived tepid rather than hot. I get that rotisserie chicken is made ahead of time, but I assume it had been pre-cut and left sitting in a food warmer, and the fries felt a bit tired instead of freshly made. On the fried chicken side, the flavor was spot on, but the breading completely flaked off the meat while eating it, would have been more enjoyable with better adhesion (perhaps a better dredge?). The meal layout could also use a rethink. Some of the larger meals are served on plates that are simply too small, making it a balancing act to keep food from spilling over or requiring multiple plates. Also, pairing a fried chicken plate with a heavy slice of brioche is a massive carb overload; swapping that bread for a fresh, crisp vegetable would make the meal way more cohesive and balanced. As for the service, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which gave the meal a nice, pleasant foundation. There is definitely still some room for them to sharpen their efficiency and attentiveness as they grow, but the positive attitude is already there. It's a solid, flavorful station stop, and with a few minor tweaks to freshness and plating, it could easily become a top-tier spot.“

“I saw mostly positive reviews but I was a little worried after seeing a handful of poor reviews; after trying it out and ordering 4 different meals with friends, it was absolutely delicious. The chicken sandwich pretty good, but I personally recommend the chicken sandwich double combo, with the two fried chicken patties in the sandwich, a good serving of fries with a drink. Fully halal and loved the environment, 5 stars and would come again!“

“Came here on a weekend,It was honestly busy,But the person helping me in the front was calm and collected,They made sure to help me figure out what I needed,The food was tasty and fresh,My order came out relatively quick given the crowd!!!Will Visit again❤‍🔥“

“The best korean fried chicken I've ever had. 🤤“

“I saw a tiktok video from Clement a while ago and finally tried it via uber eats. Despite being takeout it was the BESY fried chicken I have ever had!!!! I’m still thinking about it days later. I wish they had a spicier breading on the chicken (similar to jolibee) but the original chicken is so juicy I don’t mind. Burger was good too but I was so full cause they give you 4 pieces!!! I can’t wait to try more!“

“Excellent product..Clean,Friendly' Best tasting chicken.. not greasy. So crispy. Our only place for fried chicken.. soo good“

“Excellent wings and sandwiches.“

“Had the Duo box for lunch earlier today, restaurant did not disappoint. The tenders were crunchy on the outside and juicy. That Honestly Good Sauce though, in my opinion beat out the Raising Cane's sauce (I had Canes twice earlier this year in two different locations, both were lacking in my opinion). Like that they use crinkle cut fries, garlic toast was good, and I do like that they have a pickle spear with the combo.

I'd definitely go back to try out their other items on their menu.“

“The server was also the chef and I think he was a little grumpy at being on his own whilst 2 other people were in the back, but he was polite and didn't rush us even though we took a while ordering. We got the 2 fingers with a side of pickles and it was plenty for 2 of us. SO had the chicken and said it was great, fries had maybe a touch too much pepper for my taste but that's a tiny niggle in an otherwise excellent meal. Fried pickles were great and the shakes were awesome - very thick and flavourful, I'm guessing 2-3 scoops of ice cream in each. We got plum sauce, and pickles came with the house sauce too. Almost forgot about the garlic bread - much softer than I'm used to, but I liked it.

IIRC they're outside of door 7, near Shopper's Drug Mart, but don't quote me on that.“

“Best filipino spot in the city“

“lovleyyyy fast service American amazing Cobb salad. our whole family left everything they got. Extra points for the fresh flowers on the table. We visited Calgary location. I am from the states and it was nice to have the vibe“

“Welcome To Dave's Hot Chicken Out In Toronto, Ontario Canada! Today is Drake's 36th Birthday Party Celebration and Unfortunately He was Not Here To Join Us! During my visit there was a Huge Line for that Free Chicken and I ordered the Reaper Sandwich which is made with Carolina Reaper Pepper and yes it sure is Spicy! Believe it or Not I ate the sandwich without having anything to drink and I sure felt like a Dragon On Fire Afterwards! Lol. Furthermore, in order to get your sandwich, You had to register on TikTok or Instagram and I did it through TikTok in which I recently opened up my account just to get the Hot Chicken Sandwich! Believe it or Not! I want to personally Thank Giselle for helping me out and participating in my Youtube Video back on Monday, October 24th, 2022. Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Executive, Volunteer Writer And Promoter For Google Maps And Tripadvisor Websites.“

“I am giving this review to acknowledge the excellent customer service that I received from Cecelia Amouah(I hope I got the surname correct). She is an amazing human that does her job with all smiles. I also have been in customer service and know when a service is excellent. I don't live close by this store location but I will sure return any time I am in the neighborhood.

Thank you Cecilia.“

“I haven’t had Popeyes for a hot minute but was craving a fried chicken sandwich. Downloaded the app and had a free nugget offer. The chicken sandwich was yummy but what I wasn’t expecting was the nuggets! They were so fresh and crispy! The fries were delicious and had a warm buttery biscuit to top off the meal! I’m sure the calories were a lot but it was well worth it! Staff were attentive and the store was well kept. Thank you Popeyes!“

“We need Jollibee here to build in Showlow Az“

“Dine in or take out, amazing food with a fabulous menu and outstanding customer service .“

“The service was friendly and the restaurant is very clean. The Big Mary sandwich is really good but now really small. A few years ago it was 50% bigger. Now it's more like a McChicken but with better meat. Looks like it's been affected by shrinkflation like many other things.“

“no words for food quality but the treatment was excellent you dont see this in many places“

“As far as chicken places go - this is the gold standard. I always have that lime chicken

First time for me at this location, but the staff seem really good. The weight is a little long, but they offered me some free garlic sticks while I wait. So hey I'm happy and if you eat here you're going to be happy 😀“

“Very welcoming staff at popeyes. Awesome service and friendly staff especially Zalak. She was polite, well mannered and helpful in making me choose the right food for me. Will definitely visit again.“

“The chicken is very good. Spice levels are actually accurate which is rare. I’ve come here for years. But why are we being prompted for a tip now? Isn’t this a fast food restaurant? Come on, it’s just uncomfortable.“

“The owner is real cool. I love the Padak there. It is the best in town as far I know. Worth going. Enough food for what you pay for! Love it! Some cute waiters too. Plus coffee is available when you are done your meal.“

“It's been a while since I visited a Church's and had previously been disappointed by the Mexicana sandwich I had favoured. On a whim I tried this location and must admit that the sandwich was darn near fantastic. Fries were equally as good“

“I visited Mary Brown’s last night, and honestly, I was blown away by how delicious the chicken was. The flavour was incredible, and it brought back so many beautiful memories of the good days and good food I enjoyed back in my home country.

What made the experience even more special was the young lady who served me. She was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. Her kindness really made me feel comfortable and appreciated.

The food was not just delicious—it was nostalgic. That familiar taste brought back memories that I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, and a beautiful memory. I’ll definitely be back! ❤🍗“

“Very tasty burgers both chicken and beef.
The older couple working here are very kind to give you best ongoing offers of combo.

I had the mini chicken spicy burger for $3.99
It was juicy , decently 4-5 bite sized.

The place is clean and well maintained!

Will be back soon to try other items from the menu

Ps: I’m glad they are halal“

“Delicious wings with great sauces. We loved the varieties and the freshness that caters for fussy eaters. We had wings, bites and a sandwich - made a happy outing and suited everyone’s cravings. Amazing place do check it out.“
