“Bakery El Quetzal is a hidden gem! My family has been going there for years to buy items from back home (Guatemala) but it wasn't until a year ago that I went in to eat the food. It was absolutely incredible, to the point my husband and I actually had them cater our wedding! The staff is so welcoming and lovely and we only wish we lived closer so we could eat there more often.“

“Nova Era Bakery & Pastry is a gem for anyone craving authentic Portuguese pastries and a cozy European-style café experience. The bakery offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious treats, including the famous Portuguese custard tarts, or pastéis de nata, which have the perfect balance of crisp, flaky crust and creamy custard filling.
In addition to the pastéis de nata, they have a great selection of other traditional pastries like pão de Deus (sweet bread with coconut topping), queijadas (small custard cakes), and assorted croissants and buns. Their bread, especially the pão de milho (cornbread), is always fresh and has a wonderful homemade taste.
Nova Era’s coffee is rich and pairs well with any of their pastries. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a nice spot for a quiet breakfast, a coffee break, or even a light lunch. The staff is friendly and efficient, providing great service even during busy times.
Overall, Nova Era Bakery & Pastry is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the comforting and nostalgic flavors of Portugal right in Toronto. With high-quality products and a welcoming vibe, it's easy to see why this bakery has such a loyal following.“

“Hi, I come here very often. I have sampled across this place and them time out of 11 times that I’ve been here or multiple times that I’ve been here. I really liked the dessert. I usually get the same dishes like the same shrimp and empanadas and meat empanadas and they’re really good and this time I ordered Something different like a different dessert which were macaroons and there were so delicious. I really enjoyed them and I wanted to write a review because you know I wanted to get feedback on the macaroons. There were really good I’m not usually picky when it comes to macaroons, but I think there was just something about these ones that were a little different because they were in a Portuguese bakery and I didn’t know that Portuguese bakery had macaroons cause macaroons are technical French, but I guess I like how they have macaroons and white selection of dessert and yeah, I like the food overall everything I get is good and the atmosphere is pretty cosy welcoming and there is a really nice girl who helps us and she takes her order and she she’s very attentive
Parking: The parking lot is quite big and quite extensive and it’s I think free you can park as long as you want. I’ve never seen anyone pay there but yeah I think it is free because you know like I’ve seen so many people just park their car and that’s it.“

“Had the ham and cheese panini and it was delicious. It was our first time visiting this local coffee place and it was nice. Friendly staff. We likely will be back on our Saturday morning walk.“
