“Koya Sushi was spectacular from the very first impression. Everything exceeded expectations—the warm hospitality, the stunning presentation, and, of course, the delicious food. My friend and I arrived close to closing time and didn’t think we’d be seated, but the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which set the tone for the entire experience.

“I just got home from an accidental visit to Bamboo Sushi.
I was going to neighboring businesses.
I was hungry and this is one of the few sushi places where I've never eaten.
Well, it turns out that it's one of the very best I've ever visited! A big surprise.
I'm only doing a short review now and hope to add to it soon.
My pictures will tell most of the story.
I looked at a neighboring restaurant and decided not for me.
When I poked my head into Bamboo Sushi, I was immediately impressed with being greeted professionally and she was friendly too. The decor was impressive. Clean, modern. Then when I looked at the menu I knew I was going to eat there now.
As I've said, I have appointments now but I'll try to post some of the pictures before I leave.

“This place was phenomenal! Very fresh, delicious quality ingredients. I got a make your own bowl, portions are pretty large. When I came in for a pick up order the cashier/team member was welcoming and kind. He ended up offering me a cup of the miso soup! It was a fantastic addition to my bowl. Would definitely recommend to friends and family 👌🏻“

“some may call this place a “hidden gem” (literally in a small, unassuming place in a strip mall) & I would certainly agree! this is one of my fav places in this area to get quality & delicious japanese food! being from hawaii, I feel like I’m pretty picky about where I go & this place has my japanese mother’s approval as well. if any of this means anything to you, I’d say it’s pretty well vetted lmao.

I always recommend this place to people that want good quality asian food in (and around) portland, so make sure to go check them out!!

their menu is EXTENSIVE & I love it!! so many options to choose from. they have a whole sushi menu, bentos, ramen, & a whole bunch of appetizers and entrees that are hard to find elsewhere! also make sure to look at their specials posted near the sushi bar!

PARKING : strip mall has a big parking lot, lots of spaces.
SEATING : not a ton of seats, but haven’t had trouble getting a table on a weekday. may need to make a reservation on the weekend.

“This is the second time we have gone to Kigaru and we love it! The Ramen is fantastic and the broth has great flavor. Sushi was outstanding and very fresh. Definitely would recommend the restaurant and you can get take out too“

“Very kind and accommodating for my Gluten free needs. Even brought me my own GF soy sauce pot. Beautiful presentation of food and very good food and fresh fish. For GF I did the special on the board of K-skewers chicken no sauce, a veggie roll that they left one thing off that wasn't GF, and a Hawaiian roll. Hubby got a couple other rolls that were great. The wasabi has a pretty good kick to it LOL the ginger is really good.“

“Favorite sushi place around! It’s affordable and easy convenient:) our waitress was supper attentive and checked in about if we needed anything frequently but not in a way that got annoying. You can tell they care about the service they provide! The fish is always fresh and they are quick to bring you items ordered from the menu. The food is pretty good, I recommend the bento lunch and the Kalbi.

I’m not a huge fan of the sushi as the vinegar in the sushi rice is a bit overwhelming.

The staff are always great and the music really adds to the atmosphere.

I also recommend the heart attack, agedashi tofu, and shumai.

This is our favorite sushi restaurant we were returning to… waited in rush hour traffic. Google said they were open… to get there and find lights out and hours different on door sign.
We will be back but PLEASE UPDATE YOUR HOURS/ DAYS OPEN!“

I normally don't get tempura rolls or fried rolls in general but this place absolutely changed my views on them! Oh my god it was perfect!
