“Ok. The BEST in Bend and after living four years in the burrito capital of Jalisco I am a discerning burrito aficionado. My previous favorite was Don Gabinos. Still love me some DG though but WOW. Everyone talks about the carne asada and they are not wrong. No grissle and only enough fat to season. I have had both a Carne Asada burrito on my first try and I at it next to the car vacuums. Was just going to take one bite..you know the rules. Boom the whole damn thing disappeared. Next time it will be two meals because it’s so big. Then two days later on my way home from a particularly rigorous pickleball match with 3 80 year olds I convinced myself to the get a breakfast burrito. I was DONE. So frickin good. So San Diego. Top 5 I’ve ever had. The carne Asada was BETTER! Guac. Potatoes and the eggs and cheese had so much flavor. I made my wife take a bite just so next time I wouldn’t have to convince her to go to a taco truck. I am not a big eat from a truck out of paper and cardboard but this was simply the best. TRY IT!

Ok update. I’ve tried some other stuff and it’s the carne asada burrito and the carne asada breakfast burrito that is the best.“

“I'm a local and I have been on a taco tour, looking for the best tacos in town. The customer service was phenomenal and the tacos were absolutely delicious. The asada was super flavorful and and not all chewy and gristley. The carnitas was definitely some of the best in town! Great salsas, and their pickled carrots were incredible! 5 stars isn't high enough!“

“The Camarones Al Cilantro is an absolute must when dining here! The shrimp are cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Alpastor taco is fire...best in town. The Serrano Hot Sauce, it is my new favorite and I would like to buy a bottle for home. It's so flavorful and has just the right kick, it's a nice change from the typical hot sauces at all the other shops in town.“

“Great spot and vibe but really disappointing that I had to ask 3 times (in front of multiple staff) over two days just to get a flickering light bulb replaced. It seems staff is a bit too lackadaisical. They also don’t respond to emails through contact form.“

“Everything was great except for the breakfast taco. 2 tortillas the food thrown all over the top tortilla. Melted cheese everything. So making 2 tacos from this mess was disgusting. And to top it off they use French fries as their breakfast potatoes. Ya it's not right!! Id say overall it's a good place to eat minus the breakfast tacos.“

“Our server, Ana, was terrific. We've been to Rl Caporal many times over the years. The new location just off Century Drive is great. The food is delicious, the margarita menu extensive, the service excellent. So happy they're now on the west side of town!“

“I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! And the best part... the price! It's hard to find any food places open past 9pm or affordable anymore, in Bend. I'm happy to say, " We've found our new spot!"“

“Food is excellent. I tried chimichnga and Chile relleno. Really liked it. Drinks are a bit over priced. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry, even though there were not that many people. She could have taken time to explain the dishes and suggesting their best dishes. Some personal touch was missing. That's why 4 stars.“

“My daughter had Taco Salsa bring food to my home for my bday celebration and it was fantastic! We ordered tacos - chicken, carnitas & carne asada - with rice/beans. VERY reasonably priced! Roxy and her crew came early to set up then brought the food just before guests arrived! There was an abundance of food and all the fixings, so much that several guests were able to take food home! Not to mention Roxy even included plates, napkins, utensils AND to go containers! Roxy - you are so kind, efficient and pure joy to work with! Same with your crew! I already frequent your restaurant - their shrimp plate is especially delicious - and this experience just reinforced why I love your restaurant! Thank you again for a wonderful bday dinner! “El Rancho Grande is a great spot for authentic and flavorful Mexican food! The dishes were fresh, delicious, and packed with bold flavors. The portions were generous, and the vibrant ambience made the dining experience even better. A great place to enjoy a satisfying Mexican meal with friends or family!“

“What happened to this place? Been eating here since 2015 and lately it's gone downhill. It seems the El Sanch team is phoning it in, or they just don't care. These days we do a lot of pickup orders rather than eating at the Westside location. For the past year or so the team has been making a lot of mistakes on our orders. For every 10 take out orders I place, I'd say 8 of them will have a mistake. Last time they gave us the wrong kind of tacos (we ordered barbacoa, they gave use chicken). The time before that they left out all the items for my wife, who has some food sensitivities so she can only eat certain items. The time before that they forgot the chips and there was a hair in my food. Tonight, I checked my order before leaving the window out of necessity. Sure enough, they forgot to add an item. So when the girl came over, she seemed annoyed that I was checking the order. And when I pointed out the item they forgot, she went over to the line in a huff and got the missing item. When she brought it back she gave me a dirty look and didn't say anything as she turned and walked away. Like I was the bad guy... In addition the regularly messing up orders, they just removed some of my favorite items off the menu. The barbacoa tostada was my go-to favorite. No more, now it's tostada nada because it's gone. The specials over the past month or two have been lackluster and haven't really changed. All in all, El Sancho has been a Bend icon. You can still feed a family of four for under $50, which is nearly impossible in this day and age. But I hope the ownership team brings it back to its former glory. And although weed is legal in Oregon, maybe start drug testing. I've never seen a restaurant mess up so many orders with such regularity.“

“We stopped in a couple days ago because of a medical appointment nearby and were pleasantly surprised with the flavors of their tacos. J had the Rockfish and loved them. T had the GF tacos and they were delicious (no reactions)!! We will be back!!“
