“his is the best Thai food in Portland. Short rib and payaya salad combo is literally the best/tastiest deal in town. So many delicious daily specials alongside my standard pad thai order, it doesn't get better than Zaap. Service is amazing and the owner greets you each time you eat. Best customer service in town-Paul is my guy! This is my wife's favorite meal!“

“For the dine-in experience it is worth 5 stars but ordering to-go is not as easy. They won't be finished on time - possibly a 40 minute wait longer than what Google tells you on a Wednesday evening so workers can be overwhelmed and will put online orders last on priority.“

“I keep coming back for the pork belly fried rice and the massaman curry. Really delicious food, great outdoor seating, and they changed their dessert options recently as well. The banana cake was great with the coconut ice cream. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.“

“Incredible food and fun interior/ambiance, though cocktails were mediocre. Highlight of our visit to Portland and visited twice in 2 weeks. The food was unbelievably tasty — they really didn’t compromise on Texan barbecue quality with their Thai focus. The white curry with brisket burnt ends was one of the best dishes I’ve had all year. The massaman lamb curry was phenomenal too.The cocktails (Shoulda Woulda Coulda and Life of Luxury) were unfortunately overly sweet and candy-like. I would skip them and just get a cold Singha draft or their alcohol-based slushies instead. We received cold service on our first visit but super friendly and attentive service on the second. We walked in with no wait on a Monday at 4:30pm and waited 1h30 on Saturday evening at a great wine bar across the street.“

“Amazing everything: drinks, appetizers, main courses, and service. The meats in the mains were cooked very moist and tender. The accompanying sauces are very Southeast Asian. Our server took the time to explain a bit about the kind of royal Thai cuisine and inspirations for their menu items.“

“A family favorite! We eat here several time a month.Dietary restrictions: As a person allergic to chicken, I love this place because there is no chicken used ever! I know that sounds crazy but it’s hard to find a good soup place that doesn’t use chicken bones.“

“My wife and I have been to this place twice since we found it about a month ago. We’ve been to Thailand, and haven’t found real Thai food like this in the United States until we ate here. We highly recommend any of the dishes with ground beef or ground pork.“

“Ignore the one star California trip review. This place is great. We've been gong here for years and the staff and food area the main reasons we return. We drive an hour across town to eat here well worth the drive. One of my all time favorites is the crispy basil combo paired with a Thai iced tea. Not hot enough ask for a spice tray. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Taking extended family here tonight and they are all excited to try one of our favorite places.“

“There are about 5 similarly priced Thai restaurants with comparable menus within walking distance of each other around Division/Hawthorne. Modern Thai is consistently the fastest, easily the cheapest, has the best service (with the sweetest people working the front), and freshest food. My go-to casual dinner option in the neighborhood.“

“Randomly decided to stop here while walking my dog and am sooo glad I did! I chose the house curry, pot stickers and spring rolls, everything was delicious and flavorful. Plenty of food for two people. The customer service was exceptional, a true joy. Highly recommended.“

“Just had this place for the first time last night and it was awesome. We had the pad thai, pad see ew, fried rice, red curry, and chicken wings. It was all great. The wings were especially good. The curry was a little spicy for the kids, but I loved it. I am glad this place is in the neighborhood, and I'll definitely be going back. I loved the veggies they added to all the dishes.“

“I can't believe I waited this long to try out this place! My friend has been raving about it for ages, and now I know why. From the moment I stepped in, the vibes were incredible, and the service was top-notch. And let's talk about the food – it was an explosion of flavors, reminiscent of the amazing Thai cuisine I savored during my Southeast Asian adventure a couple of years back. A definite must-visit!"“

“If you're at the strip club at 2 am and are craving Thai food, this is your spot lol. Wait times can be long as she only has 1 pan and makes 1 dish at a time. There were 2 people ahead of our 2 person order and it was about 45 min for us. But luckily they are in the parking lot of a strip club where they suggest you can go wait (wonder if they get referral bonuses hmm?)“

“I found the recommendation for this place a YouTube video that was talking about how it’s the most authentic Thai place in Portland and they were right on. Absolutely loved it and was fantastic. Quiet environment and the staff was great, I highly recommend it!“

“Good vibes, great cocktails, and delicious food—what more can you ask for? The prices are also pretty reasonable, although you will need to order a few plates to get “full.” Unsurprisingly, it’s a popular place so expect to wait 30 mins to an hour if you don’t get here early. In any case, we will definitely be adding this to our list of frequent Portland nighttime spots for snack and drinks.“

“Cozy, unusual, quirky dining experience. We got there early at 5:40 pm and were the first to be sat and served when they open at 6. All food was fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. We tried every entree on the menu and each one was better then the next. We loved the fried rice, crispy tofu app, and spring rolls. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a quick dining experience, there’s only 1 cook in the kitchen!! Great evening.“

“As a Thai, I can confidently say that Thai Yummy Food Cart is a taste of home. The Oo-la-la wings are the best in town; I just couldn't get enough. The Eggplant Mania is also my absolute favorite. Their flavorful and spicy dishes always hit the spot! With fresh, tasty options and friendly service, it's a top pick for an authentic Thai experience. If you find yourself at OSHU, don't miss this one – truly recommended.“

“The food was delicious! I never say that about restaurants, but I want everyone to know about Ruk Diew Cafe! the food was fresh ND so good. the coconut prawns were tender and flavorful, the fried tofu was crispy and the sauce yummy. I think I had green mango in a lovely sauce with red peppers. I am a happy diner.“

“Honestly, the best Thai food I have had in a long time. I ordered off Doordash and they were one of the only actual restaurants/food carts ( not shell restaurants or gas station food) that was open. I'm so happy I gave them a try. Food was delicious and portions are huge. I will definitely be making Esan Thai Eastport one of my regular places to eat!“

“Went here the other night for the first time in a while, for dinner. I was warmly greeted upon entry and directed to seating. Excellent vibes and nice decor. We ordered the appetizer combo and chicken satay to start. I had the evil jungle noodle medium spicy. It was as delicious as I remember. One of my friends had the tom yum with shrimp and said they were very pleased with it. Good prices for downtown and generous portions. Great service! Definitely recommend this place! Parking can be tricky as it sits on a busy corner of 2 one-way streets, but if you dont mind walking a block or 2, youll be fine.“

“This place is the real deal! You can smell it in the neighborhood and it tastes just as delicious! We got the pad kee mao with tofu and she just spices it so well! The egg and broccoli were so juiced with the sauce and it was so fresh! They make the spice just right not so hot that it's all heat. But there's really an umami flavor! Definitely a top thai place in my book!“

“I have not tried the food, I picked up an order for delivery. The staff is friendly. The young lady who helped is super friendly and helpful. They have a super clean establishment. The men’s restroom was the cleanest restroom in Oregon. I mentioned the clean restroom and the young lady mentioned she cleaned it. Give her a big raise for keeping the place so clean.“

“I like spicey food, but not I hurt you spicey. When we ordered our food, the rating for spicey was mild, medium, or hot. I went with medium. Our waitress was like, you could do a medium +, ".... sounds like a dare Harry."... Ill do it. My chicken pad se ewe cane out great, pnut sauce flavorful, and the drink I has, the whiskey and ginger bits was fantastic. If you like Thai food, hit this place up!“

“First of all, this is not a typical dining experience. They are working very hard to provide a creative, upscale, and authentic Thai food experience that is on another level from what you can get on a regular basis. The flavors are not tailored to an American palate. It is also quite expensive, one of the more expensive restaurants I have eaten at. The food is very good and the experience is unique, but be warned it is extremely expensive. Our bill came to almost 500 dollars for 2 people.I feel like it's also worth noting that some of the food is very spicy. Thai food is spicy, so this is a good thing, but be ready. This is a tasting menu, so you can't really substitute or order other things if you can't eat spicy food.Lastly, I was somewhat disappointed in the wine pairing. The cocktails here are exceptional, though, so next time, I would try those for the money you would spend on the wine pairing. Just my two cents, but if you prefer wine with dinner, get the wine pairing.“

“I've been here a couple times, both takeout and dine in. I'm vegan, so all of the food I had was from the vegan menu. I really appreciate that it has a different section on the menu because it makes finding what I can have a lot easier, without having to customize any of it. Takeout: When I came for takeout, the waiter still offered me water and a table which was very nice. The wait was not long at all and all of the food was hot and delicious. I liked the decor and it kept me occupied during my pretty short wait Dine in: I loved the plating of the food, and there's some cool tables here. We sat at a normal booth but they have one right next to a big window and it looked cozy. They also have outdoor seating but it's still cold outside so I haven't experienced that yet. I got a thai green tea which I'd never had and was in love with it. Pricing: Main dishes were around 15-20, my sides were like ~10, the green tea was 6.50 I wouldn't say it's competitive, but I don't think the prices are offensive either. Please don't forget to tip“

“It's nice to eat at a Thai food truck that lives up to its online reviews. Thai RodDee is an unprepossessing food truck in Damascus, Oregon that is decorated mainly by a large menu board. I ordered Pad Thai for my wife and Pineapple Curry spice level 2 for me. The food was ready quickly. I took it home since they don't have many tables at this location. When I began to eat, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful flavor of my Pineapple Curry. The spice level was just right. My wife loved her Pad Thai and remarked that it was just like eating in Bangkok. We were both extremely pleased by the taste and texture of our dishes. I can recommend this place without reservation.Parking: Parking is limited in the lot facing the food trucks. You may have to park on the street.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It doesn't matter if you are looking for sit down or takeout, this is my favorite Thai food restaurant in Portland. The food is always fresh and tasty and the spice level is consistent. Favorite dishes - Drunken Noodles, Green Curry, Blue Crab Wontons. You won't be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This review is long overdue. Krua makes the best Thai food ever. Their recipes are authentic and so flavorful. I was vegetarian for a while and their tofu is still my favorite tofu ever. “I was in Portland for cancer treatment and had to have a special diet. I could only drink broth. I went to Thai Seasons to ask for their help, because I trust the ingredients they put in their food. They were so kind to me and prepared a Tom Ka broth and a chicken broth for me. These broths were perfect, nourishing, and delicious. The ladies at Thai Seasons really turned a dismal day into a lovely one for me, and I will always visit them and eat there every time I am in Portland.“

“Tasty food and good prices. They were very helpful with explaining what items on their menu are vegan and what options can be modified to be vegan. “This is a restaurant as well as a tea house and their food is delicious; some of the best I’ve ever had. The majority of their menu is gluten free and everything is clearly marked so you know what you’re getting. Service was quick, smooth, and the young man taking my order was kind and patient when I asked some questions. One of my questions was about the sweet sesame balls, which I didn’t end up ordering. When we were leaving, he ran after us and handed me a packet with a sesame ball, on the house. (It was different and also delicious!) The bill for my son and I came to $46 before tip, and we took leftovers home because the portions are pretty big. I will definitely be going here again.“

“Delicious, but slow. First, this is an indoor "cart pod" facility and Coco Garden is over off the options. There is a performance venue, and lots of tables. It is like a mall food court, but in a good way. A Thai place inside Zed, they have an extensive set of gluten free options. I got pineapple curry and my husband got pineapple fried rice (see the theme?) I also got Thai ice tea. All tasty and worthwhile. I was sad that the ice tea was made with half and half, rather than coconut milk, but I also didn't ask if I could have a substitute. The only downside was how long the food took. Our party ordered from multiple locations. The others had finished their meal before ours was ready. So, give it a try, just need prepared to wait.“

“We've tried several Thai food restaurants in Lake Oswego, and hands down Adisaya is amongst our top two favorites, with Thai Basil. It's our go-to since it's closer to us, but it's honestly very good. You can even request for vegan versions of their dishes and it's fantastic. The food isn't pre-made, it's made to order. Many Thai restaurants will exclude the sauces when ordering it vegan, but not here.“

“The White Orchid is underneath Bugatti’s and you enter from the back where there is a parking lot. The food is fresh, colorful, and tastes good. The restaurant is very clean and does a lot of take out, hence there is usually a table available. The service was excellent. They have a lunch and dinner menu with a lot of choices. We ordered no stars and they listened! I was surprised that there was no hot after burn. One star might be my next choice! Overall decent restaurant with nice people working there.“

“Thai food is my thing. Its my go to in new cities and the thing I return to when I need something comfortable and familiar. I eat a lot of Thai food and can say with certainty that this restaurant has top notch food to eat. Their noodle dishes are in my top three favorite Thai restaurants. The Thai basil is absolutely ridiculous. Get it. If you like spicy food, this is also the joint for you. The Thai hot level is nothing to mess with if you are weak. It will own you. I personally love it.Logistic wise, it is a small place that, as the name suggests, only offers to-go food. There is seating outside under a covered area but it is not waited on. The couple that runs this place is amazing. They are both very nice and crack me up on a regular basis. I love coming and see a lot of the same regulars when I go here. Thats usually a pretty good indicator of quality. I eat here about 2x a month for reference.“
