“Great food. Fun atmosphere. We had a larger party. Paid prix fixe for 13 people and bought tons of cocktails. We were polite. Our server was not very friendly. Almost seemed like we were bothering her. Food came out 15 minutes before 1st round of drinks. Kept dropping more plates before we finished a course. We easily spent $1200+ (still tipped 20%) and felt like we were rushed out of there. I didn't make the reservation, just got invited. Having worked 18 years in Portland restaurants (BOH), it just felt unwelcoming. Again, the food and place are great. Just wish we had more time to savor the moment without feeling like a hassle. Small tables will have better luck I'm guessing.“

“Had the Panang Curry, very tasty. If you want to experience a unique recipe, this is the one. Must be their own recipe, unlike any Panang I've had (and I've had a lot). Got it medium and glad I did, pretty spicy compared to other places.
People running the place are very sweet and kind. My hat is off to them.“

“The food is amazing! I had the Namkok Kor Moo Yang and the heat was perfect! We also did the Yum Steelhead, the Moo Ping, and the Gai Satay and can’t decide which one was my favorite. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.“

“his is the best Thai food in Portland. Short rib and payaya salad combo is literally the best/tastiest deal in town. So many delicious daily specials alongside my standard pad thai order, it doesn't get better than Zaap. Service is amazing and the owner greets you each time you eat. Best customer service in town-Paul is my guy! This is my wife's favorite meal!“

“Hot, fresh, aromatic, and delicious. She has some secret recipes that really hit the spot. The ingredients are solid quality, and because she is a master she often cooks them to perfection. The food has been consistently amazing for the last 4 years that I've been going, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a week.“

“Everything taste good, and Mhee Klug on the lunch menu was the highlights! Bote that the lunch menu is smaller than dinner. Out door seating was great for lunch time in May, the indoor had strong kitchen fume smell although decoration was cute.“

“I honestly wish I could give this place 1000 stars because they actually listened. I asked for half noodles, extra protein, light oil, and extra vegetables and they delivered it exactly how I wanted. Not “kind of,” not “close enough”… but perfect. You can tell they care about their customers and pay attention to details, which is rare these days.
The dish was flavorful without being heavy, fresh, and balanced in a way that made me feel good after eating!
That level of respect and execution? Yeah… that’s what keeps people coming back.
Super impressed. Definitely one of those spots where you feel taken care of. I’ll be back, no question!
And thanks to the workers here because they’re super sweet and very attentive I came here by myself and didn’t feel like I came here by myself.“

“My family and I stumbled upon The Chomp while visiting SE Portland. We intended to eat on the opposite side of the train tracks, but, alas, we got stuck behind the train… However, we’re glad we did or else we wouldn’t have found this amazing restaurant! We were immediately greeted by the owner who served us. We ordered the crispy pork belly w/ rice, cashew nut chicken w/ rice, and mango sticky rice. Absolutely no notes! Everything was authentic, fresh, and cooked so well! It’s easy to overcook pork belly, but this was very tender and juicy with a nice crunch on the outside. The cashew nut chicken was also very flavorful and hearty. For dessert, get the mango sticky rice served with warm pandan rice and crunchy crispies! Each dish was like a hug in a bowl. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also memorable — reminiscent of a retro diner that just so happens to be impeccably clean! The owner was very kind and gracious, which added to the warm and calm atmosphere of the restaurant. My family and I loved everything and can’t wait to be back!“

“My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Langbaan last week, and for the overwhelming majority of the evening, it was an exceptional experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the woman at the front desk. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth immediately set the tone for the evening and made us feel truly cared for. We had reserved seats at the bar—a choice we were initially uncertain about—but any hesitation disappeared almost instantly. Each course was beautifully presented and showcased the balance and complexity that makes Thai cuisine so captivating—bright herbs, fragrant aromatics, delicate spice, and bold yet harmonious flavors. The bartenders were knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about both the menu and the beverage pairings, making the entire experience feel thoughtful and immersive.
One moment in particular stood out. During our meal, the young woman who had sat us stopped by to tell us we looked like a happy, beautiful couple while she was polishing (or what I assume was polishing) wine glasses. We chatted briefly about being on vacation, and while it was a simple interaction, it felt completely sincere. In a restaurant of this caliber, it's often those authentic moments of hospitality that leave the most lasting impression, and this was one of them.
The only unfortunate note came later in the evening, when we overheard the older bartender serving us speaking rather unkindly about the young lady and other members of the staff. It was surprising to hear such candid negativity expressed within earshot of guests, and it briefly disrupted what had otherwise been such an elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
Even so, a week later my wife and I are still talking about this meal. The cuisine celebrated Thai flavors with remarkable precision and elegance, while never losing the sense of comfort and generosity that defines great hospitality. The tradition of sharing a meal with those you love stuck with us, but More than anything, what has stayed with us is the warmth we received throughout the evening. We look forward to returning the next time we find ourselves in Portland.“

“Happy dinner. The Thai dry Suki Yaki is very tasty and unique. I love this restaurant. This is my sister's restaurant. She offered noodle and dishes that hard to find here in Oregon. I just came from Thailand months ago and I miss authentic Thai food very much. And I am so happy that she did such a great job on her“

“I was in Portland for cancer treatment and had to have a special diet. I could only drink broth. I went to Thai Seasons to ask for their help, because I trust the ingredients they put in their food. They were so kind to me and prepared a Tom Ka broth and a chicken broth for me. These broths were perfect, nourishing, and delicious. The ladies at Thai Seasons really turned a dismal day into a lovely one for me, and I will always visit them and eat there every time I am in Portland.“

“My new favorite Thai restaurant in Portland. I got the best restaurant green curry I’ve had in a loooong time. There were chopped lime leaves still in the broth, nice large chunks of chili peppers, and perfectly cooked eggplant. The spice level was up there while having great depth of flavor. This curry made my day, I’m definitely going to come back and try more of their dishes.“

“Excellent food. We had the P1 mixed vegetables and papaya salad and loved it. I’ve tried other Thai restaurants in the greater Portland area and so far this is my favorite. Just be aware when asked how spicy you want something that 2 out of a scale of 1-5 is very spicy 😅“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It doesn't matter if you are looking for sit down or takeout, this is my favorite Thai food restaurant in Portland. The food is always fresh and tasty and the spice level is consistent. The staff is super friendly and takes the time to get to know you. I could not be happier that they are just a few blocks from my home. Favorite dishes - Drunken Noodles, Green Curry, Blue Crab Wontons. You won't be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“My husband and I dined here for the first time this past weekend, and we’re regretting not trying this restaurant sooner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food came out fresh and hot, and we were given so much food that we had leftovers. I ordered the crispy chicken, which was tender and delicious. My husband ordered the crispy chicken pad thai, which was also wonderful. The crab puff appetizer and thai iced tea rounded out the meal. Now that we know how good this place is we’ll definitely be back.“

“The atmosphere is calm but friendly, you dont feel like you have to be too quiet but its not loud either. They were excited to hear how good the food was, and it was SO GOOD. I had to tell them. I called them back to order more multiple times and they didn't fuss at all about being jerked around. Everything came out crazy fast too! I will definitely be back“

“What Thai restaurant doesn't have ginger? I also asked for an additional tea bag for my pot of tea and she refused unless I wanted to pay extra. FOR A TEA BAG! So I had weak tea and no ginger in my meal. They have fresh ginger next door at Fred Meyer ... I should have went and bought some while waiting for my order. Food was pretty but just okay. Then was charged $4 for the 2 little tiny cups of hot tea I drank.“

“Here’s some reasons why this is the best Thai in Portland. The people are incredible. They care about their customers and make you feel like a friend. I haven’t gone through their entire menu, but the Pad Kee Mao is one of the best I’ve ever had in my life and I eat A LOT of Thai food. They’re open till 3 AM At least when I was there the wait time to get your food was very short. After going I’m not surprised that they’ve been there for 15 years. I hope they’re there forever.“

“Food was very fresh. Pad Thai was on the sweeter side and the batter on the salt pepper squid was a little thick but very tender. The Drowning Pot (Po-Tak) sported fresh seafood hot sour soup with big juicy shrimps, squid, and scallops. Our winner though was their seasonal Thai mango sticky rice. We still think about it to this day. Great service, great atmosphere.“
