“Hops and Drops impressed us with its swift service and delicious, well-balanced dishes. The kitchen's efficiency ensures a quick turnaround from order to table. The diverse menu caters to various tastes, and our picky-eater family appreciated the spot-on accuracy of our customizations. Hops and Drops has become our go-to for a satisfying family dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“Delicious food every time we dine in, and fresh margaritas too. Supporting a queer-owned vegan business makes every bite and sip that much better. I would highly recommend their torta with any of their "meat". Music is a little loud, and it's a small environment. Besides that, the vibes are impeccable. We try to make it in every weekend.“
“Come here for the happy hour and stay for all the foods on the menu. Smoked mussel dish was to die for, Oysters are naturally delicious but the sauces here are amazing especially that green fish sauce, I’d bottle that and sell that immediately! Server was amazing and wish I knew their name so I can shout them out. I didn’t order it but $90 for a tasting per person is just too inexpensive for that quality and amazingly tasty dishes. Just want another shout out for the mussel dish on there March 18th menu. Dish will always be in my mind.“
“Just fantastic! For one reason or another we couldn't go there last time we were in Portland. But we made it happen this time and it was delicious, delightful and just all around great. I enjoy meals made up of many small plates for sharing and that's what we did. We threw some nice vodkas in the mix and were very happy with our experience. The service was very nice as well.“
“Fantastic dining experience; facetted dishes by one kitchen executed well. My party tried many different dishes, they were excellent. Dessert kept the tempo of the rest of the dinner by being equally exquisitely delectable as the rest of the dishes.Foie gras dumpings, the JoJo's, the hazelnut Mille-feuille , the Crab lagoon dip!!!!!“
“I’ve been living in the Pacific Northwest for over 7 years (in Seattle) and have traveled all over Washington and Oregon. I’ve eaten at countless restaurants ranging in price, style, type of cuisine, etc. This is hands down the best dinner I’ve had in all those 7 years! Each dish is meticulously hand crafted by the chefs (highly recommend sitting at the chefs bar/station)! The flavors are complex, layered, and unique. My husband and I shared the arancini, beet salad, scallop crudo and the soft shell crab sandwich. Every single dish was phenomenal! The craft cocktails were equally as enjoyable with a range of flavors and waves of flavor profiles that came through with every sip. Absolutely incredible, we will be back every time we visit Portland!Highly recommend planning your visit here and making a reservation. We did not make a reservation and waited 90 mins to be seated… although I’d do it all over again to eat that meal!“
“It’s a fun tiki bar in Portland known for its tropical vibe and creative cocktails. With Polynesian-inspired decor and festive drinks served in tiki mugs, it's a popular spot to relax and enjoy a taste of island life. For a first timer it was great! You will not want to leave“
“If you have anyone in your life that likes video games this is the place. Super intimate setting with private game room and open patio. This is the best place to take any gamer in your life. Food and service is top tier.Vegetarian options: Come here is you like games. Super safe and friendly environment. One of the best bars in Portland.“
“I had been meaning to eat here but I finally made it the other day! The weather was perfect so I ordered and went to sit at the outside seating area. The chicken torta was good! I was super impressed by the bread and it all tasted very fresh. I also had their horchata and would order both again! I will be back for more!“
“Incredible food and fun interior/ambiance, though cocktails were mediocre. Highlight of our visit to Portland and visited twice in 2 weeks. The food was unbelievably tasty — they really didn’t compromise on Texan barbecue quality with their Thai focus. The white curry with brisket burnt ends was one of the best dishes I’ve had all year. The massaman lamb curry was phenomenal too.The cocktails (Shoulda Woulda Coulda and Life of Luxury) were unfortunately overly sweet and candy-like. I would skip them and just get a cold Singha draft or their alcohol-based slushies instead. We received cold service on our first visit but super friendly and attentive service on the second. We walked in with no wait on a Monday at 4:30pm and waited 1h30 on Saturday evening at a great wine bar across the street.“
“I got the sausage biscuit and it was amazing. My fiancé got the chicken biscuit and he really enjoyed his. We also got the blueberry French toast and it was perfect, a lot of places can’t get French toast right but they did. Service was also amazing, she always made sure we were good on everything.“
“Amazing boozy brunch at Flattop & Salamander! Spanish coffee provides entertainment and is delightful! The cream sauce on the French Toast is magical. And the fried chicken & waffles was greatly enjoyed by my 15 yo boy who couldn’t stop saying how great they were ((if you have a teenage boy you know how wonderful this is)! We will be back even though it’s a good 20 minute drive for us.“
“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“
“This is an amazing local bar that I hope never becomes famous. It’s full of locals who enjoy an amazing dining experience with some great beers. The owner is one amazing lady who is fully engaged in the bar and loves her customers and it absolutely shows. I will definitely be back to this place multiple times, I had a fantastically fun night and I want to thank everybody I met there tonight. Big shout out to Amanda. It was her first night tonight and she was absolutely amazing.“
“Truly my favorite bar, I've been coming here for a couple years and the owner Sarah always says hi. The food is delicious, the drinks are awesome, the ambiance is intimate and chill. My favorite thing is to come here and get a glass of wine and the slab bread with French butter and read my book. It's just the best!!!“
“Update:Everything is still amazing. Happy hour until 5pm even on weekends. We enjoyed every dish - especially liked the grilled octopus. The farmers salad was really good too - I usually don’t like goat cheese but their salad blends so well and the goat cheese is not gamey only creamy.2023:Nice seafood tapas place and great happy hour before 5pm. Especially liked the shrimp ceviche“
“Fuego Underground is indeed "Fire!" I've been to dozens of Speakeasy establishments in New York, Las Vegas, and even in Central America. Fuego Underground has easily become a top 5 favorite experience for me!It isn't secreted behind an unmarked door or hidden behind a business front, but it has an authentic feel of a Speakeasy from the 20s and 30s. The servers are dressed as flappers, and the interior of the Underground beneath De Fuego bar attached to the Monarch hotel in Clackamas is opulent yet tasteful and reminiscent of the era. There is live piano music at opening, and smooth jazz trios and featured artists later in the evening. The service is on point. Everyone embraces the spirit of the experience being created within the Fuego Underground. The cocktails are heavily weighted toward the whiskey and bourbon drinking crowd, yet all drinks are given the prohibition era spin in presentation. The entrees are predominantly various cuts of beef with some exceptions, and they are of equal quality to any high-end steak house in Portland. The sides are varied and better than most compared to, say, El Goucho or Ringside. I had a Gâteau au Chocolat for desert that was delicious! (even though I had to take it home and eat it 2 hours later for being so full!)Overall, it was an amazing experience! If you love a good Speakeasy, you HAVE to try Fuego Underground. If you just like great steaks and craft cocktails, this is a hidden gem with easy parking, but reservations are recommended. This place is popular and for very good reason.“
“PDX restaurants usually have atmosphere OR excellent food, Sapphire Hotel has both! The decor is cute. They played good music. The full cheese board was our favorite part. One of the few restaurants worth the cost of eating out in Portland.“
“Highly recommend the food. The service staff seem to be evolving and not particularly well trained. Our server was ten days old. Part of the order forgotten. But, when asked about items on the menu, “I really don't know” was the standard answer. But you can trust this, everything was so fresh and yummy.“
“Went here for lunch. Their burgers are very good and the French fries are amazing!. Also have had breakfast here. If you like traditional eggs bacon and potatoes, you will be happy. If you like pancakes, make sure you are hungry because you won't believe how big they are. And very delicious.“
“I had so wanted to come here for the Miracle Pop-Up, but I was too late to the game to get a reservation. I had read that they are reserving some tables for walk-ins, so we got there a few minutes after they opened. I already had concerns as there was already a small line forming, so I wasn't sure they could take us. Thankfully, they allowed us to sit at the bar. It was a fun spot, as there was only two of us, and we got to watch the bartender making all the festive drinks. He was very chatty and nice. I had the Marshmallow and Unicorn and my husband had Santa's Secrets, which was zero-proof. Of course, true to Miracle Fashion both were served in fun mugs/glasses. Of course all the staff and the bar looks like Christmas threw-up on it (in a good way), but what we really got a kick out of, was how well decorated the bathroom was. Even Hallmark movies you don't see decorated bathrooms. I can't recall ever taking a picture in a public bathroom, but this one was absolutely photo worthy. The bartender did mention we were smart to arrive early, and he was right, as when we were leaving I only saw two seats free. Word to the wise, unless you have a reservation I would not attempt to go here on the weekends through the end of the year unless your bring a lot of patience with you.“
“The first time I came here with my ex, and it was great. I've been here since, and still great. So who doesn't love consistency? There's something soothing about a bar with great food, good atmosphere and a sense of purpose that I couldn't find in my previous relationship...“
“Always a great place to eat. Happy hour is a great value too. Highly recomend the place. Make sure and get the fuego bread with chimchurri. And steak and fritts are always great. Don't worry there are dome good vegitarian options as well.“
“Food was lovely, pasta had a perfect portion size if you’re just in the middle of being hungry and not. Service was good, just took a little long because it was a friday night. Atmosphere was not the best, there was a rowdy table behind my family that just put off out our whole vibe for the night and was very overwhelming for being outside around a lot of other people. (if you easily get overstimulated I suggest eating inside) Totally not the restraints fault, just an unlucky role of the dice“
“Without a doubt one of the best sandwich joints in Portland. Absolutely everything made here is created with a passion for delicious food, and you can certainly tell when you taste it. From the smoked chicken wings, to the burgers, to the properly layered and piled high nachos, you will not be disappointed with anything you get on the menu. Pair anything with their extensive liquor selection and great tap list, along with amazing cocktails they make in house. I feel like when I’m inside, it’s like I’m back in my grandparents basement. It’s cozy and has a great feeling. Patio is great for the summertime. I can’t recommend this place enough.“
“You've got to check this place out. Amazing mocktails, beautiful art, great selection of totally nostalgic '90s kids snacks, Pop-Tarts, muddy buddies, but seriously, what an amazing hangout spot. Comfy, cozy, and everyone was really friendly and “
“The entire place was GORGEOUS. The cocktails were delicious, not too sweet but with many flavor notes. Our server was an absolute peach and kept our drinks secret as we tried to surprise each other with cocktails. The music was rad and we’d def recommend the goat cheese beet plate (oh and they’ll top off your order of deviled eggs to an even number to spare a fight over the last odd egg left) We hope to come back soon!“
“I absolutely love My Vice. I live around the corner and have been in a few dozen times over the last year or so. Great little covered and heated patio to sit with my dog. The staff are always very friendly and super attentive. They usually come out with a dog treat and a bowl of water before I get seated. Then it's bloody Mary time. The food is always spot on. The breakfast dumplings are no joke and I don't know what it is about their beef but it's top notch. They've been doing dinner service on Fridays for a while now and the menu is awesome.Vegetarian options: They usually have a variety of vegetarian optionsParking: Parking lot on the side of building holds about 8 to ten vehicles“
“Love how cozy this bar is! Dim lights and vibezzz. To eat I ordered "Trivia tots" and they were great! To drink, I got the spicy margarita and an IPA. Super cozy, hip atmosphere both upstairs and down. My friend and I hung out at the bar since trivia was going on upstairs and we just wanted to chit chat. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area looking for a quick stopover!“
“Great food! Amazing accommodations, very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable staff who worked with my wife to ensure she had a meal with no allergies. The owner came to the table and met with us. She made up a menu ahead of our arrival so we knew what food items were safe, and checked up on us frequently. The waitress was very sincere and helped my grandparents with their orders. Cost was very family friendly, delicious absolutely delicious food! 10 STARS!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ -Nate & ReeAnn Leslie“
“This was my family’s first time eating at Mestizo and we were not disappointed. I have Celiac and my daughter has a severe dairy intolerance. For once, all 3 of us were able to order several dishes to SHARE! This never happens at restaurants with our many dietary restrictions. My non-GF/DF husband loved everything, too. Note: the entire restaurant is 100% gluten free and Celiac safe, but there is dairy present in some of the dishes. However, it was very easy for them to accommodate us by taking an ingredient off, etc. Our favorites were the fried shrimp, elote, fish tacos, and the chicken tinga tostados. The drinks were also amazing. The waitstaff is attentive and kind and our food came out super fast, but still incredibly fresh. The flavors are what put this restaurant over the top for me. Everything had a very specific (delicious) flavor that made the dish special. Do NOT miss out on the GF gem! (I suggest getting a reservation for weekend nights and possibly even weekday night.) My family and I cannot wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: 100% dedicated gluten free restaurant. They also serve several vegan and vegetarian dishes. Dairy free is easy to do here, too.“
“Went here on a Tuesday night and I'm super glad because it is fairly small. Thankfully not a lot of people came out at happy hour time for cocktails so there were only four other sets of folks in there with us. The noise level was perfect for me who is struggling with some minor hearing loss due to my 40 years of living. I like very simple drinks so I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was delicious. And they use Old Forester as their "well bourbon." I love Old Forester. Our server/bartender (doing both jobs) was very nice. He was patient with us. He also wanted to make sure I knew that the Brie was covered in a puff pastry since I said I needed cucumbers instead of bread. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance so there's not a ton of the menu I can eat. That's fine. I went for the booze. All in all it was a good experience. It's definitely not a place I would go on a Friday night. But I will definitely go back during the week. (I don't like bumping elbows with strangers. I'm too old for that crap.) I say if you like premium cocktails, you should totally try it.“
“Amazing creative dishes. Palm ceviche is fabulous as are all the entrees I can’t spell and the empanadas are flaky and delicious salsas aren’t really necessary but they are also incredible. Causas were wonderful. I couldn’t like this restaurant more if I was vegan. Highly recommend Epif.“
“10/10 classiest bar in Foster. Come for the slushies, stay for the adult lunchablesDietary restrictions: I’m unfortunately lactose intolerant, but they have plenty of delicious options where I actually forget for a moment that I miss the taste of cheese“
“Great little neighborhood bar with vintage vibe. Rochelle was a great bartender! I gave only 4 stars instead of 5 because the music was awful for the 2.5 hours I was there. We would have stayed longer but listening to loud punk rock in a cool vintage bar didn't match and seemed most customers were also annoyed with music. That is a huge part of the experience.“
“Tried for the first time 4-6-24. We just found our favorite place in the greater Gresham area. We've eaten at many of the Mexican restaurants, liked alot of them but this place beats them all for cleanliness, service, and most of all the quality of the food and price. You'll walk out knowing you just experienced something wonderful. This has become our go to place.“
“Great service and a good mix of clientele. Pay attention to their awesome specials on the board, both food and drink. The patio is roomy and there's usually a place inside to sit if you want to play shuffleboard. Pick up some swag to remind yourself too return.“
“Such a cool spot! The vibes are fun and friendly. The sweetest staff with great recommendations. We drove from newberg for one drink and obviously stayed for more and ended up closing the place down. We will definitely be back. Thank you ladies for a great little night out.“
“I had one of the best dishes that I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. Every bite I took I closed my eyes to just enjoy the explosion of flavors. Hands down best food ever. Highly recommend but don’t forget your reservation!“
“Palomar Portland is THE BEST place for Cuban inspiration and atmosphere. A bar and eatery, they welcomed us with a crew of dancers from Alaska just before closing and split food and drinks so the kids could sample everything and the staff LOVED every minute of it. We were blown away. We WILL be back!“
“Portland has fewer restaurants specializing in Spanish cuisine than it used to a few years ago. Bar Casa Vale does a great job of preparing many of my favorite dishes from Spain, including octopus and paella. Friendly, professional service and a creative cocktail menu too.“
“On my first visit, I went with a group and we shared nearly the entire pasta menu family-style. Before we even left, I was texting a friend about how they needed to try this place because each dish was, individually, the best pasta dish I’d ever had. On the next visit, I heard the table to the left of me say “This is the best bolognese I’ve ever had.” Earlier in the night the table to the right of me couldn’t stop talking about how the chicken cavatelli was their favorite pasta they’d ever had.So, come to Montelupo for the best pasta you’ll ever have!“
“Some friends took us for Father's day around noon, not crowded as the big breakfast crowd had left. Wonderful service. The food was incredible! We tried the empanada plate that had a variety - each yummy. It's a combo of Peruvian and Colombian food - my dish, the sopa de costillo was beyond delicious. Small place, has some outdoor dining with heat lamps which came in handy as it started to pour rain and we were warm and dry, slurping every last sip of that soup! Highly recommend.“
“Very cute cocktail bar. Low light intimate ambiance with very tasty drinks and food. We treated it share-plate style to try a little of everything, and the staff was very accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place for a drink if you’re in the area! Can’t go wrong with a well made cocktail (I had a Manhattan and a half and loved the presentation) and some good food (the Brussels sprouts were particularly excellent).“
“I love this bar! The setting is awesome and there's a great beer list and great cocktails. Also, the nachos (with pico) are some of the best that I know of in town! The house hot sauce is delicious, but sadly they don't bottle it.“
“Excellent cocktails, both of their own design and classics, even fairly niche ones. Huge selection and also a decently priced happy hour. They have table service which is quite nice, too. We've never had their food and only gone here for drinks.“
“If we had to pick one bar in Portland that is our favorite go-to for any occasion, Rum Club would be it. Love the space and vibe, the people are super friendly, the drinks are oh so well-crafted, and the food is excellent!. Love this place!!“
“Really chill little tiny bar and they have a really great actual bar that's made from a salvaged old redwood tree. The owner/bartender was a really nice, very accommodating guy.Kid-friendliness: Its a bar.... So of course there's a huge area just for kids, LOL. Seriously though to spell it out for those people who don't know I'm joking here, children are not allowed, it's a bar. And if they were allowed, like say during the day, you might want to ask yourself, "would good parents bring their children to a bar?"“
“It offers a unique experience for those who appreciate a darker, gothic ambiance with their evening out. The atmosphere is intriguingly spooky, making it a standout destination in the city. We sampled a few of their signature drinks: the Monkey's Paw, Dr. Raven's Reserve, and the Broken Shoeshiner, each impressively crafted and delicious. The Pumpkin Spice Shard Cake was a delightful finish to our visit, blending seasonal flavors with a creative presentation. It’s more than just a bar; it's an immersive experience for anyone seeking something beyond the ordinary. Definitely worth a visit for an enjoyable night with a twist.“
“Can't say anything negative. My beer was cold, the chips were nice and warm, the chicken and steak fajitas were sizzling.. for at least 5 minutes. Christian was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back. Oh, the atmosphere was very authentic.P.S. I just got the bill and the price was reasonable.“
