“Wow! This spot has been on my list of local Hillsboro restaurants to try for a while. Finally took the opportunity last night and had a great experience. Comfy, casual with wonderful service and a diverse menu that caters to everyone. We ordered burgers and needed to make dietary adjustments which were happily accommodated for through substitutions. The prices are slightly higher but the quality and portions justify the cost.

My veggie burger was moist and homemade, no artificial meat or grain fillers- a rarity with ‘beyond’ and ‘impossible’ meats taking majority in the vegetarian selection. Side salads are included with all burgers as well as potstickers. I would purchase the dressing bottled to take home, it was delicious! Looking forward to returning to try more.

Much respect to everyone there because the food was so good I ended up ordering it a second time, which says a lot. This was my first time coming to a five guys, and it definitely won’t be my last. On top of that, the service was great! shoutout to the guy working the register on January 29th around 7:30 PM for being friendly and helpful. Overall an amazing experience and I’m glad I stopped by. “I came on their 1 year anniversary, it was amazing! Really felt like a community in there. The food was bangin'. Had the lemongrass smash burger, furikake tots, the kebab (special for the anniversary I think?), and pork egg rolls. Everything was fantastic. The egg rolls in particular were crazy good, but I'd honestly recommend you being a friend and taste everything. 10/10!“

“Quality ingredients, and super worth if you get their $10 cheeseburger combo before 4pm (comes with truffle fries and a fountain drink). Burgers are cooked to medium by default unless you ask for it to be cooked differently (stated in small print on their menu)

Even without the deal: fair pricing in my opinion, all things considered. I could see some people thinking the burger looks a little small, but I think it's a pretty typical size. It's just a little taller with a smaller circumference, but it gives it a better meat to bread ratio in my opinion. Good size for me but for someone with a larger than average appetite or greater caloric needs, you'd probably want to get the double or get two cheeseburgers.

More thoughts:

Was a first time customer as someone from out of town just passing through. Got the $10 deal. Service was friendly and the staff seem very hardworking.

Burger: Solid burger. Thick juicy patty (1/4 lb) and decent beef quality. Personally would prefer a less shredded lettuce. Cheese coverage could've been better but I think that's just how the slices come (and I might be nitpicking at this point). Can't speak on the pickles since I got my burger without them.
Fries: Great texture. The fry sauce is nice. I think I would actually prefer them without the truffle oil but I can see why other people would like it a lot.

Guessing they don't have tomato as an option. Didn't see it anywhere on the menu but also didn't ask. Would be a nice option to have to be able to add on (if it's not already one).

Came in during a slow hour and was there long enough to observe a bit of a lunch rush. Self service kiosk should maybe be moved a little further to the side from the face to face order taker spot. I think that minor change would improve order taking efficiency and would probably make the line more pleasant. Some customers seemed to have a strong preference for the self service kiosk but it created a slightly awkward line that blocked the face to face ordering.

Bathroom was pretty clean but they did not have seat covers stocked. I appreciated that they did not have air hand dryers (paper towels are way more sanitary anyways).

Overall, solid, charming burger spot. Definitely thoroughly enjoyed my food. Will likely be back if I'm ever in the area again.“

“I eat here frequently because it is close to my work and makes a great lunch. Their food is always top-notch and they’ve never screwed up my order. In fact the worst offense that I’ve ever had happen eating here is they forgot to put napkins in my bag one time

Today traffic was absolutely ridiculous because of an accident and what is normally a nine minute drive took me an hour and 10 minutes to go pick up my food

By the time I got there, I was frustrated still hungry and when I told him the reason why it taking me so long to get there, they immediately offered to remake my burger so that it was fresh

“Went here for dinner with my kiddos, thought i’d give this place a try since i always drive by it. The workers were super nice, they were all teens but they were all hard working and got my food out fast. They were making my kids laugh and the service was really good. The place was clean and well maintained. The food was good especially the truffle fries! 10/10“

“The soft serve is fantastic and a great value! They have vanilla, chocolate, or swirl and sometimes have seasonal flavors. Fries are super tasty as well as other food. It's pretty expensive for being fast food. The inside is pretty small, but they do have two bathrooms. Sometimes it's confusing if you can order outside or not and if you're able to order just ice cream outside, but I think it was just a lack of staff.“

“This is a great place to stop for a quick snack. The shakes are based on custard and are substantial and not too sweet. I had chicken bits and they were real pieces of chicken, not nuggets. I had a tasty lemonade w/ pomegranate and basil and it was good - not too sweet.“

“I’m in town for work and stopped in for lunch with one of the branch managers. I started ordering on the kiosk and my total came out to around $22. When I tried to pay with my company per diem card, it wouldn’t swipe. I later found out it was an issue with the card itself, not the reader, but at the time I figured I’d try ordering at the counter instead.

I placed the same order, and the woman helping me asked for my name like they do. I said “Bobby,” and she laughed and said, “We have the same name.” I wasn’t sure I heard her right at first, but we both ended up laughing about it. It was just a genuinely fun moment.

When it came time to tip, I joked, “Well now I’ve gotta give the biggest tip on the machine. Bobbys gotta stick together.” She laughed and thanked me, but made it a point to tell me that the tips go only to her team and not to her, since she’s a manager. That made it even better knowing it went straight to the people working so hard.

Unfortunately, the card still wouldn’t work. She tried another method, but no luck. I said it was no problem and pulled out my personal credit card. That’s when she said, “Don’t worry about it. I already comped your meal. I hate when stuff like that happens.”

I was honestly floored and tried to insist, but she wouldn’t have it. It was such a kind gesture and absolutely made my day. Great service, great people, and the food was delicious. Thanks, fellow Bobby, or maybe Bobbie. You guys rock.“

“The food was expected. Our waitress was not so great, but thankfully someone else asked if we had everything we needed and was able to complete our order. (Main issue was waiting for our drink that was ordered when we sat down and we ate our fries and appetizers, was served or lunch b4 the 2nd person helped out.) As soon as my wife and I entered we were both greeted, but hey it's a tavern and so not expected. We sat ourselves right in the middle of the place and menu was already sitting on the table. Within 2 minutes a server came to the table to ask for drinks. My reason for coming was there sign in front about chicken. So when we ordered we ordered the chicken fried steak with biscuit and gravy. Chicken cooked to a perfection. Breast meat. What caught me with this dish was how well seasoned it is. Atmosphere is a bit different and some colored people it may seem a turn off, but let me tell you. I felt welcomed, waitress came by and checked on us and the memorabilia that flooded this place is more than enough to visit again which my wife and I will come again. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the eggs perfect and also seasoned well. TV playing all the sports I needed to see that day. Not to loud. Great place overall. Would definitely come back.“
