“I don't drink coffee but I love hot chocolate. They have the best around. Flavorful and full of chocolate but not overly sweet. Try the breakfast toasties. Their sausage is great. Staff is friendly and fast on the drinks. Have a great selection of bagels and plenty of options on toppings.“

“As someone who isn’t classically a huge match fan I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came in on a Thursday evening and luckily it was not super busy but I’m told it can fill in quickly and often has a line.

I wound up going for their seasonal cone flavor which was peach and was quite refreshing and tasty. They have a wide assortment of menu options and types of match dessert to choose from. They use a buzzer system and have seating in the back to accommodate maybe 6-8 groups.

The atmosphere is well lit and clean. Definitely appears to attract a bit of a younger crowd.“

Not sure what was in it because I didn't ask; it was sweet but not too sweet and had some other seasoning/flavor (light hazelnut or cinnamon). Latte was great. “Wow! We have been fans of Dean's Homestyle Cafe for many years. When the new owner's took it over this year, we were concerned about whether the comfortable, flavorful, "homestyle" experience we were used to would remain. The new team has done great! The staff is super friendly and working hard to make people feel welcome, learning names of regulars, and carrying on a place with a great reputation. The food is still excellent with super generous, well prepared portions and very reasonable prices. Well done!“

“This is my favorite place in Portland. I love the open mics, the trans community events, the potlucks, and the openness of the space. Every time I walk in, I feel welcome. The worker-owners are caring and kind people. The giraffe is definitely a fun added touch - but my favorite part of the Tap is definitely the community. “I absolutely love this place. I don't have the excuse to go here very often, but I drop by when I can. The restaraunt is dripping with personality with all the decorations and the service has ranged from adequate to personable. A few times I have been they had live music playing, which was nice. The food though? Best I've ever had at a Cafe. I've tried about a third of the menu and every dish has been stellar. Prices are very reasonable; this is not some super pretentious overpriced Portland brunch place, this is the real deal. Highly recommended.“

“Love it here! First of all, the staff 😍 the friendliest, sweetest, and most welcoming. From the moment you walk in, it feels calm and relaxed.

The place is so quirky and cute. There’s a mug tree with lots of mismatched cups for self-serve coffee, and little trinkets here and there that create a warm atmosphere.

I got the quesadilla with black beans and it was delicious - hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The portion size was generous too!

My boyfriend had the home-smoked maple bacon, which was amazing. Great food and even better staff! Can’t wait to return!“

I had an amazing experience at Nossa Familia Coffee today. Tara, Aiyana, and Danny (the store manager) were absolutely wonderful. Their kindness and warmth made a real difference. When they overheard a bit of what I was going through, they went above and beyond and offered me the most incredible chai latte with oat milk — and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

The atmosphere here is welcoming, the staff genuinely care, and the customer service is top-tier. Encounters like this remind me how powerful compassion can be.

Rosa is the resident mascot and she is adorable. This is the place you want to get your morning coffee and breakfast.

“If you love bagels, this is a great place to get breakfast. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese, egg, and bacon. The fillings were delicious and plentiful. Great service, nice atmosphere, clean, organized, creative... Coffee was very good too. Location is really close to the Hyatt Regency and Oregon Convention Center. Menu also had panini sandwiches, and other toppings like lox, turkey, ham, sausage, peanut butter, nutella, etc. They have bananas and oatmeal too.“

The food is top notch, the service is super friendly and sitting at the bar and watching each item that they pull out of the brick oven always makes me swoon. This time I had the breakfast porridge with poached egg and braised greens. So delicious. The olive oil fig muffin I had with my cappuccino was the perfect marriage. Thanks for meal that is always satisfying and yummy.“
