“Whenever I travel, I always look for the top rated Korean restaurants that aren’t all-you-can-eat bbq. We enjoyed Han Oak so much that we decided to try the sister restaurant, Jeju, and loved it equally. The set menu has similar side dishes and exquisite house-made ssamjang, plus delicious meats, veggies, and lettuce for making ssambap. We ate until we could eat no more and then we ate some more! It was an unforgettable meal.“

“Fire. Best fried chicken drum we’ve ever had. We agreed the snow sauce should be called crack dust. French fries were good but just good French fries at end of day. But the chicken; The chicken drums are phenomenal. Thank you for a wonderful food eating experience.“

“Service is so phenomenal here and everyone is so kind. The food is always amazing and in large quantities too so I always end up with leftovers. My grandmother is Korean and all these meals remind me of her ♥️ so happy to have this place so close to me in St. John’s!“

“soooo good!! My favorites are the brisket and beef bulgogi. The steamed egg is also amazing. Like a tiny souffle! various condiments... i think next time I'll do a la carte of the meat portions. mostly because after two rounds of AYCE I'm overstuffed and no taking leftovers... can't wait to go back!“

“I didn't get her name, but this one girl I talked to was so sweet!! We talked about the weather in Portland vs California, and a bit about my visit to Japan and she said she'd give me a discount. Which she absolutely did NOT have to do. I just wasn't ready for that discount to be like.. the entire price. I only paid a dollar!?? But I still tipped anyways because this girl is amazing and would love to chat with her again the next time I come by.“

“Nice place to go for a later night snack. I ordered the crispy rolls and the chive cakes, yummy.
The service was excellent and the bartender was friendly and accommodating and made me a custom non-alcoholic beverage while I waited for my food:)“

“Wow I’m amazed at how thoughtful and flavorful this destination restaurant is. Opening scene: It’s a cool rainy Portland day and I just want something delicious to eat. I’ve driven by this place so many times and today I went in because I overpaid in my parking. “What the heck! I’m hungry.”
I was warmly greeted and given some orientation by the hostess. “… it’s like Mongolian grill but it’s hotpot.” I made my selections unsure of some of the ingredients. [I recommend every vegetable including the curly mushrooms and cheeses and taro fills rice cakes.] I was given the biggest bowl of brotha soup with everything I selected delicately cooked and steaming hot in my bowl.
“Ahhhhh, reminds me of winter.”
This broth was outstanding! I didn’t need to add a thing. A few bottles of Soju later and I am so ready to rest tucked in my bed on this rainy summer day. I’m definitely bringing my kids and don’t forget about the mouthwash afterwards! See for yourself.“

“By far and away, my most favorite eatery in Portland. Fried rice spam bowl is my favorite!! But their Kahlua pig and Shoyu chicken are top notch too. Friendly staff, and safe space. Mahalo Plenty.“

“This is our second time dining at Janken, and this time we brought some of our good friends to enjoy a restaurant we've been raving about for months. The food was delicious and outside of the Wagyu steak, which was the most expensive item but also quite fatty, everything was outstanding! However, our service was very disappointing. Compared to our first dining experience, it was almost like a different restaurant. We had to ask for our waters to be refilled multiple times, our second round of drink orders took so long we almost cancelled it, and our waitress (though she started out good) somewhat disappeared until the end of the service. As I said, the food was outstanding and the ambience is dreamy, but when you pay that much for a meal, I expect the service to be excellent, especially because the tip is included in the price. We assured our friends, who's first experience with Jankens, was not as positive as ours, that hopefully this was an anomaly and our first dining experience was more commensurate with the way Janken actually is. We will certainly be back, but my hope in writing this review is that those reading it will see this as a learning experience and improve the quality of the service to match of the quality of the food.“

“This is it folks. Best Korean in the area, probably in all of Portland and that extends to Beaverton where there are many excellent Korean spots. Best Soonduboo I’ve had. Family run. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. 11/10 recommend, come support these hard working folks.“

“I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“

“Jin Dak is the best Korean in PDX. The bibimbap is absolutely exceptional. Healthy portion, quality ingredients. The kimchi fries are a fun unique side. I’m obsessed with this food cart and hope it stays around forever! 10/10 could not recommend this place enough.
Vegetarian options: Tofu bibimbap is rocking“

“A great casual Korean spot with good prices, portions, and flavors. Even though the restaurant name is Mokdong Gimbap, we tried two main dishes: pork cutlet and seafood soon-tofu. I’ve been craving the style of pork cutlet I used to have in Korea, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—so good! While we were enjoying that, the seafood soon-tofu came out, and it was perfectly seasoned, not bland or off at all. We got the medium spice level, which had a nice kick—perfect if you like real Korean spiciness. The seafood in the soon-tofu was fresh and plenty, and the side dishes were authentic and tasted homemade. The owner was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Next time, I’ll definitely try their Gimbap!“

“There are some of the best fried chicken in America. The beer in the cool frozen glass was the best beer I've ever had.
Above all, it's even better to have kind employees and a busy and wonderful president.
The reason why the boss is busy this is the third branch of Chimcking.
So when you come here, make sure you check “Martin Luther King Jr”.“

“Our large group went here to celebrate Mother's Day. We saw a handful of negative reviews but our server was amazing the environment was perfect for our group with our toddler and food was above average. Also is this economy we feel like we would've been charged more and most places“
