“It seemed like a small family owned restaurant with authentic korean home cooked meal. I ordered the pork fried gyoza & spicy soondubu soup which came with japchae (glass noodle salad) and rice. Their 'spicy' is a level 7 and the added 'special pork' in the soondubu was the highlight of the dinner.
The place is small, maybe max capacity 20 and the servers was hospitable.
I'd recommend this place for the flavor & its simplicity when you want to grab a peaceful bite on a busy day!“

“I haven't been in person just yet, but have ordered from this place many times. Delicious gluten-free fried chicken every single time! Although I can't seem to find any info on if the other things are gf as well. Mac n cheese? Gravy? The sando? Would love to know.“

“The food was fantastic! I had the ganh-jang steak (coulette steak topped with mint butter served with rice over seasonal vegetables) and my husband had the maneul ox-bone soup and both meals were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the cozy, casual atmosphere and the person who served us was super sweet.“

“I was trying to go to Tomo Ramen next door, but they were slammed. I saw the sign for Mokdong and decided to give it a try. I ordered the gyoza, bacon kimbap, pork katsu, and mango hard tea. The food was so delicious that I only got a pic of my drink, and the portions were so generous that I had plenty of leftovers. All the dishes came with pickled veggies and dressed salads/ garnish. It might be the best pork katsu I’ve had in the city, and the employees were kind and attentive. Absolutely recommend, you may miss it by just walking by!“

“Incredible. The food was delicious and unexpected, the service was TOP TIER (Thank you Kamile!) and the attention to detail was so welcoming. We loved the private room, the chef's tasting menu, and the KARAOKE- what a wild addition that really brought us closer together as a group. HUGE glowing recommendation from us- we'll be coming back for more.“

“Super good! Boneless Fried Chicken w/ Korean Spicy Sauce: Crispy, spicy, tender inside and very generous portion. Sides of fluffy rice and fresh salad w/ a lite ginger dressing AND the radish kimchi was superb! Great crunch! Highly recommend!“

“My son and I got the Korean fried chicken bentos. This is some of the best Korean fried chicken I’ve had in the NW. I loved the thin strips of seasoned scallion they added to my bento. And my son and I loved the red bean rice. It reminded me of my mom’s homemade red bean rice. I loved the warm, clean indoor dining area. I will be back to eat here again!“

“On top of the food being amazing, if you eat-in, they serve you, and the food is plated in a really nice way! The employees we interacted with were so nice!!! (Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the food/presentation, we were too busy shoving the delicious food in our faces) but the food was amazing, chicken was crispy and the soy garlic flavor was very pleasant, fries were thick and crispy, and the sauces were a good match. Will definitely be returning!“

“This place is has totally won me over. Would have taken a picture of the food but I ate it ALL immediately! The wings steal the show; large, juicy, fried to perfection and I loved that they served the mala sauce on the side for dipping! Sweet, spicy, garlicky perfection. The dumplings and egg rolls were also phenomenal. Everything tastes like it’s made with love, do not pass up this food cart💜“

“The Bulgogi + Dukuhbee Noodle is small but MIGHTY!!! Don’t believe me, go try it for yourself and see you won’t be disappointed. There food is amazing, full of flavor, and presented beautifully. The menu can be hard to make sense of, but once you get to the kiosk it becomes easy. The kiosk is very user friendly. The customer service was fantastic, the gentlemen that served us and was attending to the other guests was extremely kind and friendly. He made our visit that much better.
For the first visit I would recommend mild to no spicy, not because they can be real spicy, but so you can really taste the fresh noodles. We got 1 Yum(appetizer), 2 Dukuhbee(hand pulled) Noodle dishes. The yum was beef Mandoo. It was crispy and crunchy. It had a delicious sweet sauce drizzled over them. My friend got the Pork Dukuhbee mild spicy. Basically non-spicy BUT you could really taste the noodles. The pork was soft, rich, and satisfying. Everything blended well together. I got the Kimchi & bacon Dukuhbee medium spicy. Mine wasn’t really spicy but because of the blend of spice, saltiness from the bacon, and kimchi I didn’t get the full taste of the noodles like my friend did. I’m not disappointed with my choice, I’m just giving you a heads up in case you venture out like I did. Heads up they do put a hefty serving of cheese on top of the noodles that I mixed in. Next time I’d ask for less cheese. If you choose the kimchi & bacon, either you have to be a Kimchi person or be adventurous with your entrees.
Parking can be meh! We got SUPER lucky and got a spot right in front. Either way it’s doable, just park down a side street and walk there. We will definitely be back, there’s more things in the menu we want to try! Hope you enjoy them.“

“soooo good!! My favorites are the brisket and beef bulgogi. The steamed egg is also amazing. Like a tiny souffle! various condiments... i think next time I'll do a la carte of the meat portions. mostly because after two rounds of AYCE I'm overstuffed and no taking leftovers... can't wait to go back!“

“Wonderful spot for a late night bite! Came here with a friend after being out seeing music, we got bah mi to eat in and then I also got a vegetable and rice dish to take home. We're both vegetarian; there's a decent selection and what we had was all super delicious. The sweet potato fries that come with the sandwich were some of the best I've ever had (and I'm picky about my sweet potato fries).
Service was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. Environment is nice but still comfortable and casual enough to be at ease. There's 4 TVs playing different things, felt a bit brain rot over stimulation-u, but they were all muted so it wasn't intrusive.
Great place!“

“We went there just for the Ramen. I ordered the Braised Chicken Ramen and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and was a little disappointed that there wasn't more pork belly in it. The staff were friendly and it is a very cute little restaurant.“

“There is a self-serve bar with ingredients for Malatang hot pot or stir fry. The ingredients weren't labeled at the bar, but there was a menu with photos. One half of the bar was all vegan--vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu. Unfortunately, there could be cross contamination if a customer selects a vegan ingredient after selecting an animal product. I chose corn noodles, broccoli, tofu, bean sprouts, lotus root, oyster mushroom, and snow fungus. The tasty broth had a strong peanut flavor. Note: The ramen noodles contain egg. “I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“

“Excellent spot! We had the signature noodles with pork belly in minimum spicy and the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken was perfectly sweet (not overpowering) and had good flavor. The noodles were delicious, not too spicy for my mild palate, and the pork belly was crunchy and succulent.“

“This is our favorite go to authentic Chinese restaurant in Portland. The food is fresh, hot, and so delicious. The owner is very nice and knows us by name. It's nice to find a place in Portland where my family can order in their native tongue (Cantonese) and have a full conversation.
Our favorite dishes that we pretty much always get is the salt and pepper fish, sweet and sour pork, and the Happy Family. We've tried many other dishes as well and they were all very good.“

“I am Korean and this place is the best Korean restaurant I have visited in Portland/Beaverton area so far. We had Ssam with meat, Hot stone bibimbap and other stuff. We ordered a lot and are the most of it. Everything was good and kids enjoyed a lot as well. I usually cook Korean food at home but would definitely go back with family.“

“We came to celebrate two birthdays and it was a great experience! The host was very attentive and he helped with recommendations as well as assisting with quantities so make sure we had enough to feed a party of 8 people. I liked the vibe they had with the plants, lighting and decor. Even their bathrooms were very clean. It was my first time there and I would definitely be back! Yes, it's very expensive but definitely worth the splurge for a good occasion.“

“I’m 33 and I have been coming here since I was in high school (St. Mary’s alums will understand), and the owner always recognizes me and still remembers my order to this day even though I have gone months and even years in between visits sometimes. She is so sweet and prepares the food with care; I usually get the veggie yakisoba and I’ve never been disappointed. Their peanut sauce is my favorite. Their food is still reasonably priced, so definitely tip if you’re able!
It’s a smallish spot with not a ton of indoor seating, but I always get my food to go anyway. Parking can sometimes be a little tricky during peak traffic, but if you’re willing to walk a block or two you should be fine.“

“I come back to town every once in a while since I moved but always try to stop by here when I’m back. Been coming here since I was in high school and it’s still the same. The food is still great! I always get the seafood black bean noodles and it was still delicious when I came back, I also have the crab puffs a try and it was also delicious! Our waitress was super nice and attentive considering she was the only one in the front. Overall, would definitely recommend if you haven’t given it a try yet! :)“

“Decent price for all you can eat Korean BBQ; prices range per package with the main difference being seafood and offal. You get frozen or marinated meats you cook on a hot grill. There are also entrees you can order, but that’s not what you come here for unless you are pressed for time.“
