“Whenever I travel, I always look for the top rated Korean restaurants that aren’t all-you-can-eat bbq. We enjoyed Han Oak so much that we decided to try the sister restaurant, Jeju, and loved it equally. The set menu has similar side dishes and exquisite house-made ssamjang, plus delicious meats, veggies, and lettuce for making ssambap. We ate until we could eat no more and then we ate some more! It was an unforgettable meal.“

“Service is so phenomenal here and everyone is so kind. The food is always amazing and in large quantities too so I always end up with leftovers. My grandmother is Korean and all these meals remind me of her ♥️ so happy to have this place so close to me in St. John’s!“

“Fire. Best fried chicken drum we’ve ever had. We agreed the snow sauce should be called crack dust. French fries were good but just good French fries at end of day. But the chicken; The chicken drums are phenomenal. Thank you for a wonderful food eating experience.“

“Full disclosure, I only ever get the garlic soy chicken and potato wedges but it is 100% THE BEST CHICKEN I can remember having. Everytime I have been in the Hollywood location restaurant it’s pretty quiet 1-2 other groups dinning. Several large screen TV often playing sports games or at times I heard K pop! It's more of a self serve style for getting water and busing the table. You must try this Korean Chicken, the crispy delicious outside is perfect.“

“soooo good!! My favorites are the brisket and beef bulgogi. The steamed egg is also amazing. Like a tiny souffle! various condiments... i think next time I'll do a la carte of the meat portions. mostly because after two rounds of AYCE I'm overstuffed and no taking leftovers... can't wait to go back!“

“My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed this spot. The restaurant offered a good variety of meals to choose from at a decent price. The meals we ordered were so delicious, my fiancé had to order more to take back down to California - Bay Area.“

“My goodness. It took too much effort to get to edit my review…
This place smells like a Yankee Candle - spend less time on your aesthetics and more on the food (3/14/2025).
The kimchee is 5/5 and picked radish 4/5.
The bulgogi was O.K. It came in an odd dish (presentation) and wasn’t hot (hence the 4 stars). My friend had the hand pulled veggie noodles and said “it’s not like the old place and kinda chewy; Korean hand pulled noodles are dead,” to which I feel like if this place is trying to reignite the old “Dukuhbee Noodle,” that was in PDX a few years back, you’re not living up to it. The food was O.K. Noodles were gooey & floppy and the bibimbap was mediocre. Well priced and edible, but nothing to write home about - especially with all the other Korean “noodle & rice,” houses around the metropolitan area. Also, my bibimbap “fried egg,” add on was neither runny nor particularly fried - it was oddly (perfectly) circular and firm.“

“I visited Vietnam a few years ago on a food tour, and this food tasted just like that. We had the Bún with Bò Lá Lốt, the Chả Giò Crispy Rolls, the Gỏi Cuốn Salad Rolls, and the crispy pork belly. The flavors are really interesting and pungent (in a good way) and herby, their housemade fish sauce is perfect, we loved it all. It’s the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in the USA. I can’t wait to eat here again.“

“My Mala life is started from here and no regrets.
Always, good food from here. Guobarou is always served with fresh without old burning oil fumes. Not too salty, not too sweet. Fresh pork deep was fried crispy but also chewy texture. Just right with Goldilocks rule, just perfectly served.
Mala Xiang Guo could be not authentic like Chinese way, but That’s why I like it just perfect food for me. Especially, on hard day, the place could be rewarding.“

“I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“

“Atmosphere off the rip, is something that must be noted! Incredible. If you've heard of Janken then you have seen the ambiance and the famous white cherry blossom in the middle. Food was fantastic. Service was phenomenal. I've seen and heard that the portion sizes were small, not my opinion at all. We were more than full leaving this place with leftovers to take home. We ordered an array of items off the menu and we were pleased with every single one. The A 5 wagyu was impressive and the bingsu for dessert would be the highlights for myself. I would certainly recommend this place and would most definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“

“Portland, which I come to every now and then, has a charm that makes me want to walk. Today too, I left the hotel without a plan and wandered around from place to place and stumbled upon bibim~:) I was thinking about the lunch menu, but as soon as I saw this place, I went into the restaurant without even a second of hesitation—! As expected, it was run by Koreans. They recommended bibimbap and spicy pork bulgogi because it was delicious, so I took the bibimbap!?!? The quantity was huge and the taste was??? It's been a long time since I buried my nose in my bowl and ate without any hesitation. While I was eating, they told me that it tastes better if you mix it with Japchae, but what can I say? As expected, it’s sweet. I was very happy to find a good Korean food restaurant in Portland. I felt grateful to the Korean owner who runs the business, and I was grateful to the owner and his daughter who are spreading K-Korean food as many Portland residents are visiting this place. It was a moment that felt amazing. “Please continue to spread delicious K-Korean food to the public.”“

“Jin Dak is the best Korean in PDX. The bibimbap is absolutely exceptional. Healthy portion, quality ingredients. The kimchi fries are a fun unique side. I’m obsessed with this food cart and hope it stays around forever! 10/10 could not recommend this place enough.
Vegetarian options: Tofu bibimbap is rocking“

“A great casual Korean spot with good prices, portions, and flavors. Even though the restaurant name is Mokdong Gimbap, we tried two main dishes: pork cutlet and seafood soon-tofu. I’ve been craving the style of pork cutlet I used to have in Korea, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—so good! While we were enjoying that, the seafood soon-tofu came out, and it was perfectly seasoned, not bland or off at all. We got the medium spice level, which had a nice kick—perfect if you like real Korean spiciness. The seafood in the soon-tofu was fresh and plenty, and the side dishes were authentic and tasted homemade. The owner was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Next time, I’ll definitely try their Gimbap!“

“My daughter and I tried their corn dogs, she got the original and I got the crispy, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Good beef sausage and mozzarella cheese stacked inside of a hand dipped planko honey batter. Yumm. My daughter said she wasn’t hungry but she sure ate the entire thing. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.“

“Absolutely delicious. As a Korean person, 1000% approve. The 깻잎 in the tuna gimbap is a delicious addition. We've only ordered takeout from here (food always comes warm and neat!), so we have yet to dine at the restaurant, but we're excited to do so. This place is a must!“

“There are some of the best fried chicken in America. The beer in the cool frozen glass was the best beer I've ever had.
Above all, it's even better to have kind employees and a busy and wonderful president.
The reason why the boss is busy this is the third branch of Chimcking.
So when you come here, make sure you check “Martin Luther King Jr”.“

“I've been coming to this restaurant for the past 2-3 years. The food is amazing, i love it, my family loves it. Theres tons of options from the menu. My go-to would be a meal combo included with a meat tray to cook. it's on the expensive side tho. Seafood pancake is a must. Overall, super delicious, filling, with lots of variety, and lots of sides. They used to not charge you on refills for salads and sides, kinda sad about that now. It also depends on who's serving you, because some may be more generous than others. It gets incredibly crowded around dinner time. If you're in there for a long time, the smell can stick onto your clothing, and you'll end up smelling like meat after. It's no biggie. Just come prepared wearing a hat or whatever you're comfortable with. This restaurant is for anyone, including vegetarians. Solid choice for korean bbq 👍.“

“In spite of the snowy weather, we are so glad we kept our Valentines Day reservation. The staff had gone all out to make the evening a special VD celebration! The food was delicious and came out beautifully served. Our cocktails were terrific too. Our server was helpful and friendly, and provided great service even on this busy night. Thank you for the red rose flower...a nice treat!“

“Food is amazing! I got 3 tacos - spicy pork, bulgogi beef, and teriyaki chicken. All were delicious, but the spicy pork and bulgogi beef were my favorites. Would definitely recommend and stop here again when visiting Portland!“

“This is a pretty solid, dependable Korean fusion cart, though I've only had the Tofu Burrito so can only comment on that item. It has a nice proportion of tofu, rice, and other ingredients and tastes fresh and healthy. If that's what you're craving, this place will satisfy it. Their buzzers work, and it doesn't take too long. The only thing that could improve is that they have kind of variable hours, not always consistent, but that's pretty common with food carts. The pod itself is very nice, with tons of seating, though it can often still be too crowded to find somewhere to sit.“
