“My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and went to five wineries in the area. There is a lot of good wine in the area but our best experience was at Winter’s Hill. Matt met us with a sparkling Pinot Gris. Oregon does their sparking wines well. Winter’s Hill had great Pinot Noir and wonderful white wines too. We joined the wine club and are excited for our wine shipments. The customer service is outstanding. Visit - you will not be disappointed.“

“Stopped here on a whim and this was exactly the kind of place I was hoping to stumble upon in wine country! Small, family-owned, excellent wine from local vineyards.
David was so hospitable and informative (and funny!) and the wines were interesting and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the white and rose offerings that were far more complex than you sometimes see. The pinot noir was also lovely.

“I walked in and told Earl I was industry and he gave me an amazing tasting of most of the wines and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the wines. The Pinots are soft and fruity and the Rieslings are quintessentially German in character. Delicious and very affordable. 10/10 would come again.“

I do not understand the current trend of wineries inviting mexican food carts to wine tasting events. The food style tends to mess up ones palete. Beer or soda go great with Mexican food. Or possibly a huge red, but not the refined Pinot Noir and whites of the Willamette Valley.“

“Great beers and chill vibes abound at this surprising brewery nestled amongst the vineyards. During our first visit, Paige and Michelle hosted an experience so welcoming we felt right at home. Beers range from notes of light crisp summer citrus to hearty malts that will warm your soul. The tap list has a broad range without being overwhelming or repetitive.
The back patio has lots of space for groups and fun activities to pass some time. Would absolutely recommend ?“

“This is not your average brewery vibe. This is a truly unique place. Your surrounded by the same hops that are grown for your beer. Staff was positive and knowledgeable. Independent, family-owned, built from the ground up by the fruits of the family’s labor, without the benefits (or restrictions) of wealthy backing. We were treated to a tasting of amazing Pinot Noirs, a white Pinot Noir/Pinot Gris blend, a Riesling, and an outstanding Tempranillo/Pinot blend under the shade of a beautifully appointed canvas tent amid the rows of vines, cooled by refreshing breeze on a warm day as the sounds of relaxing and diverse Latino music played in the background. The authenticity of the place cannot be understated. Elena‘s connection to the land and to the entire process made for an intimate experience. The tribute to her family’s Mexican roots made for a singular experience among wineries not just in the Willamette Valley, but anywhere. Our tasting felt like a true privilege. We leave here proud members, and look forward to coming back again and again.“

“This restaurant has been on my mind since they opened. I drive by this unique establishment 5 days a week on my way to work. I finally ordered pizza to go today, and I wish I had decided to dine in. There is adequate outdoor seating but the indoor space is fabulous! Had I known, rather than call ahead I should have dropped in, ordered a cocktail while waiting for my food to be prepared, enjoying the ambience. The pizza is fabulous! Perfect crust and filling ratio is perfect. Leave room for the fabulous desserts. Looking forward to going back, but this time will dine in.“

“Our visit to Laurel Ridge Winery was one of the most memorable experiences of our Oregon wine trip. Set on a beautiful 240-acre estate in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, this second-generation, family-owned winery embodies everything that makes Oregon wine country special — authenticity, passion, and a deep respect for the land.

We were greeted warmly by Kira Teppola, who now carries on the legacy started by her father, founder David Teppola. From the moment she began sharing her family’s story — from her father’s early fascination with French wine to his pioneering belief in the Willakenzie Loam soils — we were captivated. Kira’s knowledge of the land, the vines, and the winemaking process was extraordinary. Her enthusiasm was contagious; we hung on every word and felt truly connected to the spirit of Laurel Ridge. Even the family vineyard dog, who was initially a bit cautious, became our friend by the end of the visit!

The wines were exceptional. My favorite was the 2017 Barrel Select Pinot Noir, beautifully balanced and expressive of the terroir. We enjoyed it so much we opened a bottle that very night. The next day, I couldn’t stop thinking about the bright, refreshing 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, so we went back just to buy more! Kira graciously set us up with a picnic table outside under a heat lamp so we could enjoy lunch overlooking the estate — and even poured us a little more wine “so we wouldn’t get thirsty.”

It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine — where every glass tells a story, and every detail reflects generations of care. Laurel Ridge isn’t just a winery; it’s a living family legacy built on passion, perseverance, and love for the land.

Coffee was excellent and service was fast and friendly. Cute little trinkets to look at and purchase and lots of seating throughout to find a nook.
