“I used to live in Oregon 12 years ago. Every time I was in Newport I would always stop and get the best halibut fish n chips from here. Now when we come to visit family in Vancouver WA. I will always make the trip down to South Bay to still get the best halibut fish n chips. Love this place.“

“WOW! We drove out of our way to get your famous cinnamon rolls, and they were dry and stale. My wife had never tried one and I kept bragging how good they were. We bought three that day Feb. 28, 2025. Just lost a faithful customer who drives 30 minutes out of our way.“

Pleasant Barkeep. A short list of Rogue beerw on tap. The gem, beyond the view and the solid tavern aspects, are their distilled spirits. All the tastes are under $15, and I light be outing the man, but generous. Lots near cask strength so a little ice water tomdilut may come in handy, and let you tast all there is in the glass.
Whiskey in Amarone Cask for 9 years 4 months is a joy. Too bad we are travelling and don't have space to haul a 750 ml bottle.“

“The employees were super nice and friendly and when asked questions about the meals they were very specific and polite which we appreciated, the food is amazing, everything was made fresh to order and came very quickly, The burger buns were extremely soft and well toasted, and the burger Was extremely juicy and cooked perfectly and all the vegetables fresh, over all I highly recommend this place“

“We love to camp at Southbeach and prefer to do some sort of takeout on the first night. We ordered a Greek Pizza to go and HOLY SMOKES, it was AMAZING! We talked all weekend how delicious this pizza was! We will be back!“

“Having spent most of my life in India and then a considerable amount of time in California, my constant search for good food here has, overall, been disappointing. There are certainly some good restaurants, but most don’t even meet the baseline.
So, while I was driving through Newport, my expectations were low—but oh boy, this place was a pleasant surprise.
First, the ambiance was amazing and somewhat reminiscent of what restaurants in India actually feel like.
The service was excellent, and both Simer and Sandeep were incredibly friendly and helpful. When we asked Simer what we should try, he suggested the korma.
Now, the korma alone made writing this review worthwhile. One of the reasons I dislike most Indian restaurants here is that they rely on a generic chicken tikka masala-style sauce, which is often too sweet and lacks sophistication. Or they make it “spicy” in terms of heat, not flavor—a thin line, but a very important one.
Long story short, the korma was delicious. So were the paneer kulcha, chili naan, and kachori.
A very unexpected experience right off Highway 101—highly recommended.“

“we recently broke down in front of Bonnie's Espresso while traveling along the coast, the coffee was great and the people super nice. The tow truck could only take 1 person with them and my niece and I had no ride, I was going to try to cab but David the coffee guy said he would give us a ride into town, good coffee, good people !! “I ate here 3 times on my weekend trip to Newport. On my first experience, I had the Vegan Club sandwich and the flavor bomb this offered had me looking at vegan lunch meat in a different way. The next morning, as I headed out for a hike, I grabbed the forks over knives burrito and a vegan maple donut for the road. The donut was better than any vegan donut I've had and the burrito was the perfect treat when I made it to the summit of my hike. On the morning I left, I had to grab a coffee for the road and of course another vegan donut. Beyond the food, the vibes were exactly in my wheelhouse and the views of the ocean made it all the more beautiful! I'll definitely be back!“

“I WAS FREEZING ONE MORNING ON A WEDS AND I NEEDED SOMETHING HOT TO DRINK, PREFERABLY A COFFEE OR HOT CHOCOLATE, UNTIL I WENT INTO COASTIE ROASTIES AND WAS MET AT THE COUNTER BY THIS MEZMORIZING WOMAN WHO WAS FULL OF CONFIDENCE AND JOY THIS MORNING WHEN I JUST WANTED TO YELL AT SUM1 FOR BEING SO DAMN COLD, BUT THIS CHICK HAD ME AT HELLO.
