“This is a must see when you're in Newport! Visit the brewery, but expect a line. If you just want a quick beer with an awesome view, go to Rogue Distillery Bar. I prefer this bar vs the other brewery bar.

She was busy cleaning the counter and refilling some pastries. It was our first time there, and we thought we maybe missed "a way of doing something." Finally, my husband had to tell her that we were ready to order. We ordered two drip coffees, a bagel sandwich, and a burrito. It took a little longer than normal to get our food. This did give us plenty of time to observe the same girl do the same thing to person after person. It was not a friendly environment to walk into. After waiting almost 20+ minutes we took our food back to our hotel. There wasn't much room to sit in this place or even wait for our order. However, the food was absolutely delicious. And I would go as far as to say it was worth the wait. Just don't expect to make a quick stop if you are ordering any type of food. However, again, I will say it is worth the wait to get one of their food items!“

The tow truck could only take 1 person with them and my niece and I had no ride, I was going to try to cab but David the coffee guy said he would give us a ride into town, good coffee, good people !! I am no stranger to craft breweries having visited so many, but also having brewed many myself. This brew pub has a variety of beers to choose from, but I was disappointed to hear that over a third of their menu was unavailable. Their cocktail menu is also nothing short of intriguing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food options. Newport is a seafood town, and you really should try some local fresh catches, but in addition to seafood Anchor offers all sorts of other cuisines for both starters and entrees.

The ambiance is almost that of a brewery mixed with a sports bar. They do close relatively early, but it was still a great experience, and the server was incredibly hospitable and helpful.“
