“As someone who isn’t classically a huge match fan I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came in on a Thursday evening and luckily it was not super busy but I’m told it can fill in quickly and often has a line.

I wound up going for their seasonal cone flavor which was peach and was quite refreshing and tasty. They have a wide assortment of menu options and types of match dessert to choose from. They use a buzzer system and have seating in the back to accommodate maybe 6-8 groups.

The atmosphere is well lit and clean. Definitely appears to attract a bit of a younger crowd.“

“I had a few extra minutes so I thought I’d pick up a dozen of fancies. Never having been here before, what a great place! It was clean, tidy and a display of the most amazing looking donuts! Not over the top to where the donut gets lost but it’s just the opposite. Such a delicious assortment of flavors and those I asked said the cinnamon rolls were the best!!! They were all beautiful and the bunch I got it for were so excited because it is their favorite. What delicious flavors, it was hard not to take a bite out of each one! I think when in Beaverton it is now my fave too!“

The place is so quirky and cute. There’s a mug tree with lots of mismatched cups for self-serve coffee, and little trinkets here and there that create a warm atmosphere.

I got the quesadilla with black beans and it was delicious - hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The portion size was generous too!

While we were there on Saturday lunch time, there was always a line. Most people looked like they were getting a drink and walking out with it. Half of the people had trouble going out as the door was tricky to open out lol. You have to push the button down while pushing the door out haha. Only street parking available.“

We had a mix of ages and everyone found something to their liking on their menu. The food is fresh, delicious and huge servings. I had the Kahlúa pork with mac salad and white rice. “Erin made a delicious iced lavender mocha for me in January! I'd like to add the coffee was perfect and service excellent. My friend and I had a rough morning and she really turned it around for us with her awesome personality and smiles. I used to go to Grendel's in mornings when visiting friends in the neighborhood and was pleased to have another good cup of Java there. Stay rockin! ❤“

“I am staying at a nearby hotel while my husband has surgery at OHSU Hospital. I needed an inexpensive coffee and lunch place that I could walk to easily during a heat wave here in Portland. A quick Google search yielded this little deli that is part of Portland State University. I had one of the lunch specials which was a turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich on a croissant. It came with chips and was reasonably priced. I also got an iced soy white mocha (which is in an insulating sleeve I have). Everything was just over $15.00 and was fresh and delicious. The espresso drink was strong (much needed) and not too sweet. As I was leaving, four Portland State University maintenance employees (per their shirts) came in and seemed like regulars . They have a variety of sandwiches including all-day breakfast ones. I might have to go back tomorrow morning.“

“This is the best black rock. You can go to any black rock and get a coffee but you can only come to this one and get amazing service. These gals are always friendly and (my personal opinion) they make my drink the best. Plus they don't have a high turn over rate so you will likely see the same person.
