Located at the edge of an industrial type building thats been converted, there is a very limited number of parking spaces right out front. “Jojo comes up on a lot of PDX "Best of..." lists, and as a result, when I was looking to book a reservation and found no convenient time slots available, I figured the next best alternative would be to skip the BS and just hit up the food cart. Good choice.

Reasonably priced for a premium burger in Portland, I went with the Mr. Onion Burger, which lived up to the name in every way possible: an assortment of awesome Alliums assembled under a bun, and tied together with a tasty, tangy Alabama white mustard. Very much approved! I'm now even more intrigued to return and try the Spicy Cheeseburger, which would normally have been my #1 pick, but I wanted to try something different.

Of course, one can't eat at Jojo's without trying the Jojo's, right? And my visit was no exception: a small order of the Nashville Hots was a fantastic accompaniment, even if the red sauce and breading got absolutely everywhere! And even a small order is a sizeable portion, meaning I took half of it home with me, for later.

Jojo came with a lot of hype and expectations, but they knocked it out of the park, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And if you're like me, and you don't need any pretense to enjoy a classic burger at a reasonable price, don't bother reserving a table in NW; just head over to this cart on SE Powell.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the John's Marketplace lot.

“I love Laredo and today was the first time I tried a sandwich I didn’t care for. I got their latest chefwich. It’s a pork tamale sandwich basically. The outside of the tamale in bread is just too much bread. The sandwich also didn’t hold up well especially when dunked in the pazole dip. Flavor was good and the dip was good but it just doesn’t work. What saved it was their great beer selection. Love ya!“

“I’ve been looking for a good deli. And have seen Bodega PDX on my drive home. Decided to try it out and I have to say it. I had the Gabagool and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in the Portland area. There is a couple more sandwiches that I would like to try on there menu“

I recently purchased two tuna salad sandwiches, and there was less than one tablespoon of product on the bread, and it was concentrated in the center of the bread (about 2 cm diameter). Very disappointing. The egg salad (my favorite) never has this issue. All other products have had ample filling, and always fresh-tasting.“

My friend Jay is owner in Florida Charleys cheesesteak. He always said If you find a Charleys in your areas please try it. So I said I will but I can’t find in Vancouver WA. Finally I found Charleys in Oregon. I ordered Philly cheese sandwich large. It’s a huge and big portion. So delicious and yummy. I love it. My youngest daughter loves fries.“
