When the new owner's took it over this year, we were concerned about whether the comfortable, flavorful, "homestyle" experience we were used to would remain. The new team has done great! The staff is super friendly and working hard to make people feel welcome, learning names of regulars, and carrying on a place with a great reputation. The food is still excellent with super generous, well prepared portions and very reasonable prices. Well done!“

“Di Tazza bakery, cafe and coffee drive thru is a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee with friends. They have pastries and yummy frittatas, biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwiches. They have vegetarian choices and some nice gluten free pastries that are all made on the premises. It’s really cute and clean. The staff is friendly and quick to make you feel welcome. I live really close to it and I highly recommend it. It is in the previous chase bank on SE 84th and 137th. Easy access from Padden Parkway. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. 🥰“

“I came into Foode on a whim, the food looked good and I was in a hurry, so I stopped in and was greeted by a beautiful, clean atmosphere along with kind and joyful employees. Specifically Teylor, who I think might’ve been the manager on duty, was prompt in servicing guests and did so with a smile on her face. My food was delicious, and I was even more impressed with the service I received. Will definitely be back here! And Teylor is an incredibly valuable addition to their team! Thank you Foode!“

“This is actually a 4.5 star review. The owner of this place is super nice, the prices are fair, but unfortunately the temperature of the coffee is consistently way too hot. I even ask for my coffee at 150 degrees and it still take 10-15 minutes for it to cool down to where I can drink it. The thing is that milk heated to that temp burns the milk and even when it cools down, the flavor is not good. I know they were trained by Stumptown to use their hands to decide when the milk is done, but unfortunately, that doesn’t create a consistent temperature. I would highly recommend a thermometer or timer. I have a few friends who specifically don’t come here because of this. I think this alone is keeping them from being next level. Other than this, they really are a nice coffee shop, with very nice baristas. 🫶“

“Pretty standard boba shop. We got here an hour and a half before closing and they were all out of boba which was a huge bummer. Followed up a recommendation from a friend and tried this spot out. Not blown away but not bad at all. Taro smoothie was great. Avocado smoothie was blah.“

“Elevator Coffee in NE Portland was recently named the best coffee in the United States. Never tried it, so I ordered a couple bags of beans and had them shipped to my place. Got a bag of Counterweight Blend and a bag of Lift Blend. Delicious“

“Stopped by Black Rock Coffee Bar (76th & 500 location) to get some work done on my laptop, and it ended up being a great spot to hang out for a bit.

I ordered through the app and went with two drinks:

Blended Orange Blossom Mocha
Iced Irish Coffee
Plus a blueberry muffin

Both drinks were solid—flavorful and well-made—and the muffin hit the spot, especially after one of the baristas offered to warm it up for me. Small gesture, but definitely appreciated.

The baristas here were quick, kind, and attentive. One of my drinks initially came out without the whipped cream I had ordered, but after a quick mention, they fixed it right away with zero hassle and a great attitude. That kind of easy, friendly service goes a long way.

The space itself was clean, spacious, and perfect for getting work done. Plenty of seating, a relaxed vibe, and free Wi-Fi with no password, which made it super convenient.

Overall, a really solid experience—good coffee, great service, and a comfortable place to post up for a while.

“I've been to many indoor play structures for kids. I have to say this one was perfect for my 21 month old and 3-year-old. They could climb the structure and go up on their own. They didn't get stuck or needed help getting around in the structure. In other indoor play companies, I had to lift them a lot and follow inside the structure bc my little one was too short to climb up to get to areas. Very fun place and affordable. I will come again. Been 5x now! They limit how many people can book a 2 hr widow. Perfect layout!“

The establishment is very clean and the food is delicious and nutritious. My Oura ring is always very pleased when I order a meal from Café Yumm. “The coffee itself is really good, but Black Rock in general could you some work on their mixed drinks. Upcharging me for whole milk when they should just be using it anyways to make lattes is annoying and they use half as much flavor as needed so you need to request extra, which is also an up charge. My drink ends up being almost $7!! The service is great and everyone is nice, but dang, getting a drink made how the rest of the coffee places do it is expensive.“

“I'm not why so many 1 stars because I had a pretty good experience. Food was pretty good and I was happy to have the gluten free options. My waitress took maybe 5-10 mins to get my order and she was busy she had several tables. Food was fast but I ordered a sandwich and fruit. This is definitely a good spot for gf options.
