“Yummy food and margaritas!”

“Papa Llama, 2840 Curry Ford Road, Orlando- 4-Stars Michelin Recommended- Bib Gourmand! Peruvian immigrants, Kevin and Maria Ruiz, say they founded Papa Llama in 2016 as an experimental pop up and opened the doors of this location in August 2020. In 2022, they earned the Michelin Guide's coveted "Bib Gourmand" award for establishments that serve good food at reasonable prices so naturally, I got excited. Paulina, my server, was well prepared and knowledgeable, making for an auspicious beginning in a gorgeous environment featuring good prices for dishes that could be made to satisfy both carnivores and herbivores alike. I ordered the entire family style menu which was, according to Papa Llama, "designed to be tasted together, shared, and fought over." So much food for just over a hundred dollars. The prices may have been cheap but the taste and quality of (most) victuals valieron un Perú! A hearty Big Boy Thank You (Sulpayki!) to Kevin and Maria and the culinary dactylograms of their ancestors, on this amazing cuisine (Somaq Mihuna!). The first item on the menu was Olives--whole green Castelvetrano olives marinated in house with aji panca--which were so delectable I could eat them all day. Next, the Red + Gold Beets, a minty beet salad with honey ají amarillo vinaigrette, queso fresco, and candied pistachio, which started out smooth and creamy and ended with a pleasantly piquant bite. Papas a la Huancaína followed, a fingerling potato dish with spicy aji amarillo cream, wakatay (black mint) salsa verde, and beef chicharron, topped with a fried egg. The potatoes themselves were not the star, but the combination of flavors in the sauce were amazing, unctuous but smooth. Papa Llama carries a long list of natural wines, more wines than food items, actually. That evening, I chose the Yuzu Sake, and may I say, "Holy smokes!" How refreshing after consuming so many peppers. The rest of the dishes I would give 4.5 to 5-Stars, EXCEPT for the side of frozen Sysco French fries which almost ruined an otherwise stellar meal. There are over 300 kinds of potatoes in Peru. Over 300! Perhaps in the United States we don't have the same abundance as found in El Valle Sagrado (the Sacred Valley) but, por favor, do not stoop to this! The Big Boy says, "Eat here. All the authentic Peruvian flavors at Papa Llama are 5-Star, but skip the fries, which are a corporate conglomerate frozen food disappointment."”

“Location Kissimmee, FL : if you wish to go to a good restaurant to have a smooth and enjoyable dining experience, you can go here. Grazi and Luana were absolutely perfect, Ronan was also so kind and helpful. There was also a very kind man bringing us the grillades. We had plenty of tasteful food, plenty of smiles and lovely people helping us. The staff is polite and attentive, working together to provide a wonderful eating experience. “The food is great but because they have so many dishes that most people are not familiar with and have Japanese names, the restaurant should have the wait staff explain the menu or at least ask if the customer would like a run though of the menu. The staff were very nice if maybe a little inexperienced and did explain some of the more obscure dishes when asked. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 rather than 5 stars is for how dark the place is. I could not read the small print on the menu without my phone flashlight. Otherwise, the atmosphere is relaxed but upscale with a modern, clean aesthetic.”

“We came from visiting Disney Springs, wanted a really yummy Bloody Mary. Googled this place, drive was 28 minutes. The restaurant is in the middle of a neighborhood which is unique. Parking is on the street. We were even lucky to get two seats at the bar. The host told us 1.5 hour wait, it was Sunday about 11:30am. Being from out of town, that would have really sucked if we didn't get to sit and eat. The Bloody Mary was delicious. The crab cakes were the best I've had in a long time. Not super greasy, light and a bit of a crunch inside with the crab meat. Maybe onion, not sure. Loved the smoked salmon and avocado pita bites. The fried green tomatoes were alright. I didn't like the kale salad. The Chicken and palmento cheese sandwich was disappointing....the chicken was over cooked like the bacon, but we just added extra cheese to help eat it. I would come here again just for the drinks, and try something else if we are in Orlando again. Both bar tenders were very friendly and helpful. I would make reservations if you plan on coming.”

“My wife and were anxiously waiting for this restaurant to open. We went this Friday (May 5th) and were not disappointed. First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The ambient music was at a perfect level with a definite South Beach feel. We interacted with several servers and each of them provided excellent service. The menu has enough diversity to satisfy anyone's tastes. To start, we had an appetizer that consisted of scallops covers in parmesan cheese that was melted at the table with a torch. For our entrees, I had a beef dish (Lomo Saltado), while my wife had a pork dish (Arroz chaufa with pork). Everything was delicious. They have quite a few specialty drinks in their cocktail menu. We each had a different drink and both were very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Piscos and look forward to going back.”

It is standing room only and doesn’t feel crowded tho the place is quite small.

The only thing I really didn’t care for was the 1 hour slot, I feel like it could be 1.5 hours and that might be better because it felt a bit rushed at the end when getting the last pieces, soup, and s’mores. I felt like I had to scarf my s’mores down quickly to get out on time.

“Came on a Tuesday before a Broadway Across America show and made it in time for happy hour! Great food and drink specials for happy hour! We ordered three dishes to share, each was more delicious than the last! The wangz were good but a tad sweet for my taste. The Brussels were fantastic, I think my favorite item we got. The sliders were delicious, well cooked and seasoned. The service was great, very attentive. Our server, Brendan, made great recommendations! The vibe was vibing too! We will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu!”

“It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.”

“I chose to come here for my birthday, because I like eating at Michelin Starred places for my birthday. I also like omakases. There seems to be more and more places all offering their own omakases, so they all start to run together, makes it hard to differentiate them. So instead of detailing every aspect of Natsu, I wanna just highlight what makes them different from everyone else.

Ambiance is so beautiful, peaceful, stoic. You enter this space, and you're in instant tranquility. A simple countertop with no view of the kitchen. Very comfortable high-top bar stools welcomed my behind. And a very nice card personally wishing me a happy birthday also welcomed me. A very nice touch. Super classy.

The service was also stellar. It wasn't the well-choreographed show that you see at two or three star places. But each person had their dedicated duties, and they did a really good job of making comfortable small talk with us. Very friendly folks.

Now for the food. The very good food. It was a very familiar setup. The light bites, the palate cleanser, the nigiri, and then the dessert.
This place doesn't have any of the big meat dishes like a seared duck or an A5 Wagyu, so if you're needing that, this place won't have that. I didn't need it, so I just sat back and enjoyed this mainly seafood inspired menu.

The light bite portion was nice. I got introduced to a small fish that I'd never eaten before. There was of course a dish that was the obligatory showered-in-truffles dish, but this one wasn't an upcharge, which was very appreciated. In fact, there were no upcharge opportunities at all that evening. Very appreciated.

As for the nigiri portion of the meal, I was actually very surprised that the literal slice of fish that was on the rice was a larger portion than other sushi places. I'm not kidding. The portion size was tangibly larger, which had it's advantages. A thicker slice gives you more of an appreciation for the texture of the seafood. I was actually blown away by this pleasant surprise.

We ended the meal with a special birthday candle in my dessert. So nice.

Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with my birthday evening here. They set the mood, they treated me really nice, but not in a snooty way, and the food was varied, fresh, and delicious. I can't see myself not coming back. I love this place.”

“Absolutely wonderful, fine dining Italian dinner at Epcot! It’s a gorgeous and classy dining room with incredibly kind and gracious hosts who checked us in and then led us to our table. Gian Marco was our very nice server who took great care of us. We started with good rolls dipped in olive oil, bread sticks, and the fried calimari appetizer. The squid rings were the most tender and tastiest we’ve ever had. For dinner, my wife had the Italian “surf and turf”, Mare e Monti, which was a delicious braised beef short rib and lobster ravioli. I had the Salmone, which was a nice piece of grilled salmon served atop mashed potatoes over diced tomatoes, capers, olives and anchovies. It was fantastic! We finished this gourmet meal with the tastiest Tiramisu and a Cannolo. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We spoke with Sarah, one of the managers, and she explained that much of the staff are actually from Italy and are working here and gaining experience at a resort style restaurant. They all work together to provide the hospitality and dining experience that must be savored and celebrated!”

“Tori Tori is by far the best upscale bar I’ve visited. The drink menu offers classic cocktails, but has a fabulous list of unique, in house, created mixes that were phenomenal. Dalton was our Bartender and he was friendly and intuitive about which drinks to recommend. The São Paulo was an indescribably different and delicious beverage. If you like coconut, the Shinobi was also bomb and very popular amongst the crowd. Matthew let us try a seasonal punch that was festive and yummy, and they both helped us decide on snacks, which were to die for. Portions are small, so order multiples if you’re hungry. The Chimichuri steak skewers and Curry Meatballs were everything. Before we left, Greg introduced himself and was friendly and funny and helped top off a wonderful experience. You can tell this space is well managed and that the bartenders enjoy each other and the work they do. 20/10, a must if you’re looking for cocktails that will blow your mind.”

The best dining experience I ever had. It’s been two months since we went for my mom’s birthdays and she still talking about it. Service was excellent, food, presentation, staff work, the seamless process. Just like outta unreasonable hospitality book. If you have an opportunity to come in for reasonable priced courses - DO IT!

“I had a great experience with my party here. We started with the miso soups which were very delightful and rich in taste, then we ordered almost all of the nigiri types. The fish was very fresh and delicious but I think the rice could be improved and the fish could be cut a little bit thicker than we received it.

We also got some of the hot dishes like the gyoza (the sauce was amazing but was not a fan of the gyoza itself) shrimp tempura (very nice) and the fried chicken which was delicious!

The service was excellent, Eric was our server and he always checked on us and kept an eye on everything. I really enjoyed the yuzu gimlet cocktail as well. An extra detail that I really appreciated is that they separated the various nigiris into 4 separate plates for each person instead of putting everything together, which made it much easier to eat.”

“We dined here for our anniversary dinner and were pleasantly impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. It wasn’t formal as they are at Del Frisco’s but they let you know they were there. Even the managing partner, Philip and the manager, Jeff introduced themselves. We had the price fixe Land and Sea and opted for a tomahawk ribeye which was done as I prefer with little seasoning and salt. The mushroom bisque soup was flavorful. Our waitress, Dana was attentive and professional. I would definitely come back because Del Frisco’s will probably cost us twice as much.”

“Another fantastic experience at Christner's for my husband's birthday celebration. From the cocktails old fashioned and dirty martinis to the appetizer ahi tuna — our favorite! The steak 12oz filet and stone crab claws plus the sides of chateau potatoes, creamed corn and Brussel sprouts. And no birthday meal is ever complete without the orange cake and cappuccinos with the rock sugar stick stirrers. The ambience and service are next to none!”

“We dined at Jaleo last night to watch the “Dreams that soar” drone show at Disney springs. We were blown away with our experience, everything about it was 5 star! We were seated in the patio directly in front of the lake where the drone show takes place. Our server was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgeable and able to make recommendations in the menu. For the show, you can choose either the chefs tasting menu, or the A La Carte menu. We chose few dishes each off the menu, and everything was delicious! My kids had the grilled cheese sandwich and my son said that it was the best he’d ever tasted. Overall a magical experience and a great way to end our holiday!”

“Came during lunch and waited about 10 minutes to order and got the PB&J cone, but got the food very quick after ordering. The PB&J was dynamite in flavor, from the pork to the everything seasoned cone, it was excellent. However, what keeps this from a five star review is the bread to toppings ratio. The filling of the cone, at least with ours, was lacking as the cone was at least 60% bread. If they scooped about 15% more of the bread out and added more of the pork and Mac and cheese it would be a slam dunk. Worth trying but expect to grab more food after if you bring a heavy appetite.”

Patties are crispy compared to others. Selected is limited to beef chicken veggie, wish they had saltfish and ackee but the coco bread is the best, so soft and fluffy and large enough for the entire patty. Patties could have more filling but over all pretty good. Sign up for they're rewards program also.
