“Yummy food and margaritas!”

“Papa Llama, 2840 Curry Ford Road, Orlando- 4-Stars Michelin Recommended- Bib Gourmand! Peruvian immigrants, Kevin and Maria Ruiz, say they founded Papa Llama in 2016 as an experimental pop up and opened the doors of this location in August 2020. In 2022, they earned the Michelin Guide's coveted "Bib Gourmand" award for establishments that serve good food at reasonable prices so naturally, I got excited. Paulina, my server, was well prepared and knowledgeable, making for an auspicious beginning in a gorgeous environment featuring good prices for dishes that could be made to satisfy both carnivores and herbivores alike. I ordered the entire family style menu which was, according to Papa Llama, "designed to be tasted together, shared, and fought over." So much food for just over a hundred dollars. The prices may have been cheap but the taste and quality of (most) victuals valieron un Perú! A hearty Big Boy Thank You (Sulpayki!) to Kevin and Maria and the culinary dactylograms of their ancestors, on this amazing cuisine (Somaq Mihuna!). The first item on the menu was Olives--whole green Castelvetrano olives marinated in house with aji panca--which were so delectable I could eat them all day. Next, the Red + Gold Beets, a minty beet salad with honey ají amarillo vinaigrette, queso fresco, and candied pistachio, which started out smooth and creamy and ended with a pleasantly piquant bite. Papas a la Huancaína followed, a fingerling potato dish with spicy aji amarillo cream, wakatay (black mint) salsa verde, and beef chicharron, topped with a fried egg. The potatoes themselves were not the star, but the combination of flavors in the sauce were amazing, unctuous but smooth. Papa Llama carries a long list of natural wines, more wines than food items, actually. That evening, I chose the Yuzu Sake, and may I say, "Holy smokes!" How refreshing after consuming so many peppers. The rest of the dishes I would give 4.5 to 5-Stars, EXCEPT for the side of frozen Sysco French fries which almost ruined an otherwise stellar meal. There are over 300 kinds of potatoes in Peru. Over 300! Perhaps in the United States we don't have the same abundance as found in El Valle Sagrado (the Sacred Valley) but, por favor, do not stoop to this! The Big Boy says, "Eat here. All the authentic Peruvian flavors at Papa Llama are 5-Star, but skip the fries, which are a corporate conglomerate frozen food disappointment."”

“The food is great but because they have so many dishes that most people are not familiar with and have Japanese names, the restaurant should have the wait staff explain the menu or at least ask if the customer would like a run though of the menu. The staff were very nice if maybe a little inexperienced and did explain some of the more obscure dishes when asked. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 rather than 5 stars is for how dark the place is. I could not read the small print on the menu without my phone flashlight. Otherwise, the atmosphere is relaxed but upscale with a modern, clean aesthetic.”

“My wife and were anxiously waiting for this restaurant to open. We went this Friday (May 5th) and were not disappointed. First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The ambient music was at a perfect level with a definite South Beach feel. We interacted with several servers and each of them provided excellent service. The menu has enough diversity to satisfy anyone's tastes. To start, we had an appetizer that consisted of scallops covers in parmesan cheese that was melted at the table with a torch. For our entrees, I had a beef dish (Lomo Saltado), while my wife had a pork dish (Arroz chaufa with pork). Everything was delicious. They have quite a few specialty drinks in their cocktail menu. We each had a different drink and both were very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Piscos and look forward to going back.”

“Delicious sushi! I got the baller set which was very good and nice to try once, but I’ll probably just order from the regular menu in the future.

It is standing room only and doesn’t feel crowded tho the place is quite small.

The only thing I really didn’t care for was the 1 hour slot, I feel like it could be 1.5 hours and that might be better because it felt a bit rushed at the end when getting the last pieces, soup, and s’mores. I felt like I had to scarf my s’mores down quickly to get out on time.

Our 13 year old granddaughter kept saying it was some of the best pizza she'd ever eaten! As previous owners of a pizza restaurant, we thought our pizzas were pretty amazing! The staff was very friendly and eager to serve us. The restaurant was clean and had very modern decor. We will probably go back before returning home!”

“We had an amazing time at Keg Social Orlando celebrating a birthday! We enjoyed bowling, axe throwing, and the arcade, which provided hours of fun. The venue offers something for everyone, regardless of age—our group ranged from 11 to 41 years old, and everyone had a blast. The food and drinks from the bar were fresh and delicious, and the DJ kept the party atmosphere lively. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. The food options were healthy, fun, and creative. I especially enjoyed the dumplings and my husband devoured his mochi Wangz. We also tried Mr. Rice Guy which didn’t quite give the oomph we were looking forward to. Drunken Belly was pretty decent (a few pieces were a tad too fatty to fully enjoy). We’d 100% go back for the atmosphere and aesthetics alone. Service was phenomenal and the vibes were super chill.”

“I chose to come here for my birthday, because I like eating at Michelin Starred places for my birthday. I also like omakases. There seems to be more and more places all offering their own omakases, so they all start to run together, makes it hard to differentiate them. So instead of detailing every aspect of Natsu, I wanna just highlight what makes them different from everyone else.

Ambiance is so beautiful, peaceful, stoic. You enter this space, and you're in instant tranquility. A simple countertop with no view of the kitchen. Very comfortable high-top bar stools welcomed my behind. And a very nice card personally wishing me a happy birthday also welcomed me. A very nice touch. Super classy.

The service was also stellar. It wasn't the well-choreographed show that you see at two or three star places. But each person had their dedicated duties, and they did a really good job of making comfortable small talk with us. Very friendly folks.

Now for the food. The very good food. It was a very familiar setup. The light bites, the palate cleanser, the nigiri, and then the dessert.
This place doesn't have any of the big meat dishes like a seared duck or an A5 Wagyu, so if you're needing that, this place won't have that. I didn't need it, so I just sat back and enjoyed this mainly seafood inspired menu.

The light bite portion was nice. I got introduced to a small fish that I'd never eaten before. There was of course a dish that was the obligatory showered-in-truffles dish, but this one wasn't an upcharge, which was very appreciated. In fact, there were no upcharge opportunities at all that evening. Very appreciated.

As for the nigiri portion of the meal, I was actually very surprised that the literal slice of fish that was on the rice was a larger portion than other sushi places. I'm not kidding. The portion size was tangibly larger, which had it's advantages. A thicker slice gives you more of an appreciation for the texture of the seafood. I was actually blown away by this pleasant surprise.

We ended the meal with a special birthday candle in my dessert. So nice.

Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with my birthday evening here. They set the mood, they treated me really nice, but not in a snooty way, and the food was varied, fresh, and delicious. I can't see myself not coming back. I love this place.”

“It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.”

“We went to TORI TORI for the first time last weekend. The food and drinks were amazing, but I can’t give the restaurant more than 4 stars. The way the place works is a bit different: you find your own seat, then go to the bar to order both your food and drinks. After that, you can either stay at the bar or go back to your table. We tried the blue crab dip, crab croquette, crab rice, scallop crudo, beef skewers, tomato skewers, scallion and cheese pepper skewers ~ all of them were delicious. The drinks were also really good. They have food runners who bring the food to you, but you still have to go order everything yourself at the bar. The mix of self-service and table service was interesting, but I didn’t love having to wait in line to order and still being expected to tip over 20% (which we did). The bartenders (ours was Thanathep) were very busy, which made sense since it was a Sunday night. I really enjoyed the food and drinks, but because of the service style, I’d give it 4 stars.”

“Kaya is absolutely incredible. The atmosphere inside is super chill and welcoming, and everyone we met was beyond friendly. My very first interaction was an employee noticing my Kain Na shirt—they loved it, which instantly made me feel at home. Now, the food… is there even a word better than “delicious”? Because every single thing we ordered was exquisite. My wife fell head over heels for the Sisig, my kid devoured the Filipino spaghetti, and the Kalamansi-misu for dessert was the perfect sweet finish. The Kare Kare was so tender the oxtail literally fell apart as soon as we tried to pick it up, and that sauce? Absolutely to die for. I’ve had most of these dishes before, but one thing I’d never tried was the Adobo risotto—and wow. It left me speechless. Truly incredible. The best part? Kaya made my family feel like part of their family. The whole experience felt like being at a Filipino family gathering—minus the karaoke (which we found out they actually do on Sundays!). When we packed up our leftovers, we discovered a sweet surprise: a little postcard explaining Kaya’s story, plus two stickers—one with a handwritten note thanking us for making them a stop on our Orlando trip. Thank you, Kaya, for the warm welcome, the amazing food, and for making us feel right at home. We can’t wait to come back and try even more!”

Even the managing partner, Philip and the manager, Jeff introduced themselves. We had the price fixe Land and Sea and opted for a tomahawk ribeye which was done as I prefer with little seasoning and salt. The mushroom bisque soup was flavorful. Our waitress, Dana was attentive and professional. I would definitely come back because Del Frisco’s will probably cost us twice as much.”

“Delicious authentic Yemeni food. We ordered Chicken mandi, Lamb haneeth and Tabbouleh salad. Everything was great, both the chicken and lamb were falling off the bone, really flavorful and tender. The Lemonade was refreshing and the Basbosah was delightful! Even the complementary tea was great. Portion sizes are generous and easy on the pocket too. We were seated in the patio directly in front of the lake where the drone show takes place. Our server was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgeable and able to make recommendations in the menu. For the show, you can choose either the chefs tasting menu, or the A La Carte menu. We chose few dishes each off the menu, and everything was delicious! My kids had the grilled cheese sandwich and my son said that it was the best he’d ever tasted. Overall a magical experience and a great way to end our holiday!”

“Came during lunch and waited about 10 minutes to order and got the PB&J cone, but got the food very quick after ordering. The PB&J was dynamite in flavor, from the pork to the everything seasoned cone, it was excellent. However, what keeps this from a five star review is the bread to toppings ratio. The filling of the cone, at least with ours, was lacking as the cone was at least 60% bread. If they scooped about 15% more of the bread out and added more of the pork and Mac and cheese it would be a slam dunk. Worth trying but expect to grab more food after if you bring a heavy appetite.”
