Two tiers above anything else I’ve had around here in my 15 years in Ardmore.The place is clean, the owners welcoming, and the food very fresh and delicious. They also use mostly easily recyclable/compostable brown cardboard containers that are just the right size.The dumplings, Spring rolls and Beef Lo Mein were all the best I’ve ever had from a takeout place.I can”t wait to go back.I’m worried that the inner neighborhood location will make it difficult for them to drum up enough business to make it, which would be heartbreaking. “Located in a small strip center with a small parking lot and across the street from a much bigger lot, Osushi is a gem. We arrived for a late lunch. We started with the tofu miso soup (would prefer more tofu) that was tasty and a larger than typical serving. The tuna dumpling, tricolor tobiko roll, and the Naruto roll are pictured. The tuna dumpling included mango which compliments the overall taste. The visual appeal of every dish was outstanding (see the attached pictures). While a bit pricey, there's no denying the quality.Parking: There's a single line of parking in this steep center with a much larger public lot immediately across the street“

“Sometimes you have to abandon what you know (burrito, hamburger, lamb kabob) and try something new like bibimbap (pictured) which means mixing of cooked rice with cool stuff mixed in. Seriously though, a few new places have opened up on the block: no knock on Rosy's Taco Bar, but you just might feel more satisfied at Nam Chon (Korean). The hot bowl/pot cooking technique puts their bibimbap dishes over the top. Come down towards the east end of South St. and check it out. The chef/waiter will give you a free appetizer assortment sampler for your enthusiasm.“

“This place is SO good, a new neighborhood favorite. The sushi, robatayaki, and entrees we tried were all incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and well seasoned (especially the hangar steak robatayaki!!). Love that it's a BYO, too. The desserts were also a highlight - I would come back just for the cheesecake and the black sesame ice cream! Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. We will be back!“

“I tried the cheesesteak bao buns from Bing Bing this past weekend at the Flavors on the Avenue food festival in East Passyunk. These bao buns were the best thing that my friends and I tried at the festival by far! We unanimously agreed on that :) The filling was very well seasoned and the bao bun itself had the perfecttt texture of soft on the inside w/ a little crunch on the outside. I definitely plan to go to Bing Bing for a full meal to try more items off their menu, and I'll leave a review when I do!“

“Came here for dinner during Wrestlemania 40 weekend. Excellent service and the sushi was amazing! Especially the fried sushi with smoked salmon. Also got the shrimp tempura and sweet potato rolls. Wish had more room to finish it all. Pretty small place, so was lucky enough that it wasn't so busy. Highly recommend!“

“One of the best and authentic Indonesian restaurants in the states. The other one is in Atlanta GA. As a native Indo, I highly recommend this place. Service was good. Space is quite tight but expected for Philly. Food is so good. So good. Get the ketoprak, Satay ayam/ grilled skewered chicken with special peanut sauce, for sure. “We got the pork soup dumplings and crab and pork soup dumplings as well as fried rice cake with pork. The soup dumplings are great 10/10. The wrapper was nice and thin but did not rip once. There was a great wrapper to meat ratio and there was plenty of soup in the dumpling. The ratios of all components were perfectly correct and on top of that, it was delicious. Definitely better hot though. It started to be more mid as it cooled but if you eat fast, you'll have a great experience. I also appreciated that the pork only soup dumpling tasted differently from the pork and crab soup dumplings as some places put minimal amounts of crab such that they taste largely the same. Wonderful wonderful experience, would recommend. The fried rice cake was good, a little more chewy than I expected. “This was a surprise on our 5th night in Philly. We had a group of small plates. Pork dumpling in chili oil, glazed sting beans, Indian pancakes with curry, peking duck buns, and Singapore noodles. “The staff and owner are nice folks. Prices are fair and reasonable in this current economy. Food was solid, the French Onion Soup Dumplings were solid. Steak was solid. The cocktails were generally not my style, I prefer mezcals/bourbons/whiskey bases, but the flavor profile was solid; the Drunk Text was the winner. It’s a nice addition to the neighborhood. I’ll be interested to see how they grow in the near future.It would be nice to see a Point Breeze cocktail bar crawl between Dock Street, El Mezcal, Insatiable, Madira and other spots … the local spots could benefit from something like a city-wide competition (shot + beer + app). I would like to see more collaboration between our neighborhood’s restaurants“

“I can’t say enough about this place. I understand everyone has different experiences. However, when I took my son there for his Birthday. Im so happy that I made the right choice to make reservations there. From the time we entered to the time we left nothing but the best service we had in a very long time. The Asian food WOW the best that me and my family tasted. You got to try their sizzling hot plate pork chops!!! Oh my Goodness!!! This place has been there for 8 years. “Absolutely amazing Thai food to go. We ordered the Fried Tofu (super crispy and firm but not dried or greasy), shumai (pretty good but a bit dense and could not really make out the shrimp or crab), fantastic Tom ka (order it spicy!), pad Thai, drunken noodles, and sweet and sour chicken for the kids! The noodles were good and spicy and the kiddos loved the sweet and sour. It was such good chicken, the adults even enjoyed. But the cherry on top was the absolutely kind and sweet phone and in person service - which is becoming a diamond in the rough. Super impressed from the first hello to the last bite!“

“I have been coming to this place for about two years now and I am definitely not one to write reviews at all, but this place really deserves it. I am a senior in highschool and the chef john is the nicest and humblest man i know. He is kind to every customer and makes amazing food (I like the garlic rice bowl the best). Today, he saw that i wasn’t eating and came over to me directly with my favorite order. I didn’t mention that I was fasting for the month of ramadan. “The vegetable lo mein noodles I bought last 2 weeks it didn't like to saute , but like were cooked with water and sauce in the noodle soup They were super salty and really unpalatable. They were super greasy. I only got 2 pcs broccoli in this vegetable lo mein?. But today I bought wonton soup and chicken dumplings, which were super delicious. The front desk was very patient every time I called, even though she was busy sometimes！！！“

For 2 people, we ordered 3 apps, 2 entrees and a sushi roll and I think that was plenty with some leftovers to take home. We ordered the rock shrimp (hit), shishito peppers (wouldn't recommend), short rib buns (hit), chicken yakitori udon (fav), hibachi beef (not bad) and the summer roll (didn't like one bit). If there's one thing I'd recommend it's the noodles- it was well sauced- not too salty and the bounciness of the udon made it so yummy! Their food has been consistent in quality, freshness, and presentation since I first found them in 2006, and rediscovered them in 2020. They have an interesting variety of specialty sushi rolls, and the standard rolls, and all are beautifully crafted, fresh and delicious. My most recent sushi order was the Snow White, Kiss of Fire and Philly rolls, and a complimentary salmon avocado roll! My bf enjoyed the beef with garlic sauce. I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already! I sound like an infomercial, but I swear, I'm just a customer who appreciates integrity lol.
