For our family, these items were what really set this place apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area, and why we visited multiple times a week. We are anxiously waiting for the menu to update again!“

“South Sichuan is serving up some massive portions of delicious food!

The dan dan noodles are spicy spicy, not just a lingering heat but heat as you chew. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The sauce was so creamy, nutty and savory. They were addicting! Such a large portion as well.

The salt and pepper wings were crispy, even with delivery. Massive wings. The slaw in the box added a nice freshness.

I ordered this for Christmas dinner, and they were so kind and put a cookie in the box as well. That was so thoughtful! I will definitely be ordering from here in the future.“

“They have so many options for vegetarians/vegans! The veggie dumplings were nice and I’m looking forward to try more dishes like orange tofu while I’m at Temple. Great option for late night eats. The place is clean and relatively easy to find healthy options!“

“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“

“First time trying this place I took picture with my digital camera that’s why it might look different but I would say the food taste is amazing but I was mostly was into spicy kimchi spaghetti then went to order other appetizer because I was very hungry the sweet potato Fries when I bite into them it was like wow the taste amazing the popcorn chicken taste good too. If your into like fancy dining restaurant should try here. If I have time I’ll definitely come back again 🤭“

If you like Panda Express, you will like this place. For $47 we got enough food for 4 meals (5-6 if you are a light eater or with kids). The value is crazy good and perfectly met expectations.“

“I was looking for roast crispy duck. I didn't want to go to Chinatown because its gotten rundown, yucky traffic, expensive parking and horrible SEPTA. I decided to stay in my neighborhood so I could walk. I worried about it being expensive. Chestnut Hill is high end and the restaurant looked pricey. What a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I was a solo table but still treated like a queen with lots of servers checking in, giving water and smiling. The roast duck in black bean sauce on the cast iron plate was SCRUMPTIOUS. It comes with a healthy side of white rice and delicate, flavorful bok choi. The skin was crispy yet NOT oily or greasy. The CHUNKS of tender duck meat were excellent. The sauce was thick, savory and yummy. FOODGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The portion was so healthy that I was able to take a container home for lunch the next day. Then I ordered the Mudslide ice cream pie for dessert. PERFECTION. Dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying with nut accents, fresh strawberries and cream as garnish. Cool treat on a humid Summer night. When the bill came, I was shocked that it was less than $40. I did not order a cocktail because I wanted to concentrate on the food. I gave them a big tip and said I am absolutely returning. I am also addicted to their spring rolls too. Two perfect crunchy flaky rolls filled with a balanced combination of shrimp, cheese, and cabbage that you can dip in duck sauce or mustard or just enjoy plain.“

Very large menu with all kinds of dishes with quite good vegetarian selections as well! The restaurant is right on the race street in Chinatown I have been passing by many times but never paid attention to probably because their sign is not very obvious to people on the sidewalk. Great place to eat in. They have dim sum in the morning.“

“So glad I found this restaurant amongst the many in Chinatown. I enjoy the roasted duck noodle soup from another restaurant but I decided to give this a try and I was happy I did!

I like how Lau Kee separates the broth from the noodles and vegetables! The flavor of the broth alone was delicious! When I put the two together…it was perfection. The duck is seasoned well and there is a nice portion of noodles.

I will definitely be adding Lau Kee to my fav list!“

“Moved to the area 5 years ago. Have struggled to find a half decent Chinese restaurant anywhere nearby. After dozens of really terrible local options we just gave up. In a desperate need to feed the family without time to go grocery shopping, I finally tried Golden Key. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and food is as decent as I make from scratch at home.

Most notably, they seem to make an effort to wash their vegetables really well. I can rarely eat restaurant vegetables 'cause they're so poorly cleaned & still covered in industrial ag chemicals (I work in the industry, as such I'm sensitized to the chemicals. Any residual in the produce I consume makes me sick)“

“Okay so the thing is when I went to the actual location and dined in everything 11/10 from service to food. Like I’ve been thinking about it since I went and i decided to order delivery today and am so sad will only be dining in for future. Ordered at 1pm my driver was on his way at 1:08?? General tso chicken was tender, great portion, white meat but I think from the steam in the packaging the chicken got soggy and the sauce got loose, like really loose. Wonton noodle soup was packaged very well with noodle dumpling and veg separate from broth, and their dumplings are so good I think they are shrimp - but the broth was not seasoned like it was when I dined in, just bland. Lastly I’m sad to say I won’t even try the spring rolls because they look like they’ve been sitting out for a while but I’m sure they are tasty I just cant get over that they look super crunchy in a bad way.
