“Linda was our server in the bar area, and she was fabulous. We had a party of 4 and the staff were very accomodating, providing access to outlets for recharging devices when needed as well as being attentive to our drinks and clearing the table as soon as we were finished with our plates. We were there for Sunday brunch so we went through some plates. Absolutely a great experience and will return.“

“We had a gorgeous wedding at The Club at Shannondell! I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding, asking how I learned about this gem of a venue, and honestly all I could say was sheer luck! Of all the wedding venues we toured, The Club at Shannondell had the most personality, had the most delicious smelling food wafting in from the onsite restaurant, and we knew it would be where we got married. Huge shoutout to the Events Manager, Roxanne, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and a huge help.

Here is a couple of key things that make this place stand out above the others:

-Chadwick's, the onsite restaurant and source of our catering, was delicious. We chose the Stations menu, and every single item was incredible, even the passed appetizers during cocktail hour looked handmade, and my only regret is having so much to do as the bride that I couldn't eat more! However, our dinner was spectacular with multiple chef-attended stations, and I felt like we got an incredible value for the experience.

-Ballroom space: This venue is so beautiful and requires minimal additional decor. From the huge black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to the giant fireplace in the center of the room, there is a wonderful warmth to the room that is hard to fake. For my wedding of about 60 people, it was a perfect amount of space. I’d caution that it might be a little cramped for 150+ guests, but if you’re struggling to find the “just right” sized venue, you may find some luck here!

-Package value: We saved a lot of money using this venue simply because there are so many perks associated! By booking through The Club at Shannondell, we received our cake complimentary from The Master’s Baker, the centerpieces were covered by Mole’s Flowers, we got a free game of golf at the course for 4 people, we had an incredible private menu tasting, and also got a free hotel room for our wedding night (and free shuttle for guests!). Overall, there was a lot of savings without compromising on quality! However, if you are planning on having a large bridal party, the bridal suite may be slightly small, though that was not an issue for my situation.

-Staff: As I mentioned, Roxanne the event manager did an amazing job throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, the dining staff were wonderful as well. They checked up on us frequently and I must give a special shoutout to the server who personally fetched my husband and I dinner ahead of everyone else.

Overall, we had an amazing experience and whenever we are craving our wedding food again, we can always head on over to The Club at Shannondell and eat at Chadwick’s.“

“Had dinner at Bar Sera for the first time in 2023-06-16 for a 7pm reservation. We got seated right away, not waiting at all. All our drinks and food came out on time and was absolutely delicious. We had the best server named Rachel. She had many tables but still was amazing, very attentive and would engage in conversation with us as. She made the dining experience so much better than any restaurant I’ve been to in a while. The food overall was amazing. I highly recommend this place. If you can, ask for Rachel, she won’t disappoint.“

“I just held a 40th birthday party at Lock 29. Everything was great. The space was perfect, everyone raved about the food and cake (some people said it was the best cake they’ve ever had!), The servers were awesome, they made sure everyone had what they needed and did a great job keeping things organized and clean throughout! I would recommend parties here to any of my friends and family! Everything was exactly what I wanted!!“

“Bring Cash! The cost of eating out has gone up, so we do so less these days. We used to go to Chaps about twice a month but haven't been there in maybe 6 months. Like many other places, Chaps now charges a card fee. Makes sense with costs going up though I think it was about 4%, which seems high for my debit card. I carry cash now for this reason but was a few bucks short on the tip, so I charged it. For comparison, Anna's Corner Store charges a flat 50 cents. Food has always been the best bar food in the area. Probably still is but seems a little different now (fries not quite as good, got a few pickle chips instead of a huge spear...) Still very good though. Craft beer prices don't seem to have gone up much if at all and the selection is terrific. Mixed drinks cost more I believe but not certain. Staff is still terrific, especially a few of the bartenders. Still I end up giving 4 stars but I'm open to finding a new favorite place....which may not be out there. Positives: Terrific employees, good craft beer selection and good food. Dings for high card fee and food perhaps a bit less awesome yet still very good. Not sure how prices compare with other, similar places. For example, Fish and Chips cost 17.50. One big piece of cod, fries, coleslaw. The Reuben is probably a good value at 12.50.“

From remembering what we had to drink, to bringing us refills without us having to ask, to going above and beyond to make sure our kids were happy and content. “Casual, great food, better beer in a fun atmosphere.We came here looking for good food, a quality and diverse beer selection, and a casual atmosphere to enjoy conversation with friends. We easily got all of that!The beer selection on tap was large and had a variety of styles — something for everyone to enjoy. The food was also quite tasty. Burger was perfectly done and the salad came seemed fresh and tossed in just the right amount of dressing (not drowning in it). Roast beef sandwich was also one of the best we had in a long time. They also had a lot of nice side items — well beyond just fries and chips.The menu had a good variety overall with tacos, fish and chips and other standard fare. I have no doubt that each would be equally delicious.The place itself felt like an old school sports bar with lots of TVs playing games, but not so in your face with it that it seemed obnoxious.
