Everyone who works here absorbs so much chit chat from the customers that I would think the baristas are professionally trained to listen reflectively. “We were warmly welcomed on a snowy winter day and enjoyed our lunch. Their cappucino and lattes were delicious as well as their unique 3-berry muffin. The house specialty sandwich was tasty, but had more cheese filling than I like. Their turkey sandwich was delicious. The restaurant decor is contenporary cozy and there are lots of breakfast, brunch and lunch choices with vegetarian and vegan options. It was nice to see families and diners of all ages hanging out and enjoying the food and vibe there.“

“I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

It is much smaller of a space than Madis Coffee Roasters (Twisted Grounds has only a few small tables to sit), but the staff is equally as kind, friendly, talkative, and enjoyable to be around. You can quickly tell that the team here has a great rapport with each other, and it makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun to be in. They have super cute merch and engaging conversations. I'm excited for this to be one of my regular haunts in Philly. The manager runs this place like a well-oiled machine.“

I asked her which one of the three highlighted she wanted when I brought her in there yesterday and she said yes please. It’s really nice that he takes the time to have conversations with his customers, my brother has been a regular here for years and would agree. I always enjoy the food and matcha lattes. Peach Lemongrass idk if both flavors meld in together. I feel the lemongrass overpowered the peach flvor profile. Better yet pls make a Pandan Iced tea instead.
