“Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.“

“It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“

“My sister n law and I had just finished the bike train excursion and were famished. We stopped into this place because it was the first restaurant that we came to. Boy was i floored when I asked if they could accommodate a gluten free diet and they said they had a dedicated kitchen!! I had to ask again because I could not believe this! The food was amazing. “We stopped in today for a late lunch as we have always driven by and always wanted to try this cute place. It wasn’t busy and we were seated right away, the staff were very welcoming. We ordered our food and the appetizer came out right away! We had the pierogies and they were so good! I had a salad that was on special, and my daughters each had the cesear salad and a burger. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent, Mackenzie was our server and she was very attentive. We will definitely be back!!“

“We had hot pretzels with beer cheese, a cheesesteak, and a mushroom burger. The food was outstanding. Came out promptly, was super hot and fresh, and everything tasted great. Burger was big, beautiful, and delicious, the meat was unseasoned, which is not a complaint, I needed to salt it. The mushrooms were canned and I greatly prefer fresh, but that's a small thing. The pretzels were amazing, it was 3 sticks, could've given a 4th considering it was over $8, but they were fantastic. Cheesesteak was a little above average, no complaint. The service didn't suck but could've been better. Server kept disappearing for long stretches, wanted a drink refill and waited over 10 minutes until someone ELSE walked by. Atmosphere was pub-like, kinda loud and some inappropriate conversations between bartender and patrons, loud enough for all to hear. Didn't offend ME, but would have been uncomfortable if underage folks had been with us. Overall very good, would definitely go back!“

“Started to become a regular at the Boatyard, avoided for along time because of a misrepresentation of the establishment from years past that just no longer should be considered. Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.“

“My wife Brenda and I were privileged to eat tonite at the Beltzville Bar and grill. I had egg plant Parmesan platter. It came out hot, beautifully place on a large white plate. The pasta sauce was an Italian delight. I am guessing homemade by Deana. The egg plant was fresh cut and lightly breaded. The garlic bread had a die for buttery garlic seasoning. The salad was fresh cut served in a 1/2 bell pepper. The greens were varied and of a five Star restaurant quality. The pasta was Al dente firm with a tender texture. Not soft and mushy like so many places today. I also had 2 dozen clams - cooked to perfection with browned drawn butter. My beverage was Miller Lite in a tall neck bottle served in a chilled frosted glass. Our server was outstanding and helpful during our entire meal. I am sorry I forgot the nice young ladies name.“

“We do a lot of traveling and like to sample ice cream on our different trips. By far Claude’s Creamery has the best ice cream! It’s a very friendly atmosphere, the staff is always courteous, (a real rarity today) and is very inexpensive for a family. It’s always the bright spot on our trips to Palmerton! 5-Stars“

“We ate dinner in the cafe and had a wonderful meal. Our appetizer was the chips with gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, arugula and balsamic glaze. Wow! I had the chicken, artichoke, pesto, penne and my husband had the forbidden rice, shrimp and bok choy dish. Both were absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chef. Our waitress was great! We live 45 minutes away but that won't stop us from returning for another fabulous meal.“

“Today I was there with my grandkids. The food is excellent. My only complaint was when we ordered the ice cream , I was charged for a double scoop, but only received a single scoop, I told the waitress and she said that she has a big scooper funny I owned an ice cream store and there’s no such thing as a bigger scooper or ice cream scoops are basically the same . A double scoop means two scoops of ice creams on top of each other simple so the next time you go and ask for ice cream make sure you get two scoops not one.!!“

“The on tap beer selection was recently expanded when a new bar top was installed. Food is good and there are plenty of options with a full menu. Cocktails are dependent on those mixing them with varied results. The staff is generally quite friendly. The environment is inviting and the crowd is a good mix of regulars, locals, and passerbys. Epic Productions comes in to DJ and hosts a trivia night that is a lot of fun. They also do karaoke on the first Saturday of every month. All in, this is a great place to go for a meal, drinks, and some entertainment!“

“Stopped in for a late lunch. We ate in the outdoor bar area because the dining area had a 20 minute wait. Only the outdoor area was open.
The bar area offered the full menu. The area was clean and although the bar area was very busy the bartender was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. She took our order quickly and the food was delivered promptly and as ordered.

We had the wedge salad, the open faced turkey sandwich and the chicken parm sandwich. Everything was tasty but the chicken parm sandwich was a bit dry. Maybe order extra sauce on the side.

I highly recommend Molly Maguire's for a nice meal at a decent price.“

“The Beacon is struggling to maintain adequate staffing but that has only impacted slightly the time from order to service. Our experience has always been excellent Diner selections with friendly, competent service. It is never microwaved frozen goods from US Foods or Sisco. Much of the menu is homemade comfort food like pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes/ gravy. All of the items are better than competitively priced. I used to be a chef and though 71 years old, I wish I could help when I see their 'Cook Wanted' sign but I live 15 miles away and can only help by dining there a couple times per week. Best of luck to these dear people.“

I didn’t know fast food can be this good and AFFORDABLE.
A simple burger meal only cost me $17 I think. Drink fries and a burger.

10/10 would come again.“
