“Best steaks closest to Chester County. True Philly style, quality ingredients and portions. Reminiscent to Dalassandro's, Chubby's, Shanks, etc. It's a good thing it's a bit out of the way for us here in Coastesville area. We'd go there way too often!“

“A nice little pizza shop, I’m happy to have found today at work. They serve a crisp thin crust pizza that isn’t too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and therefore not overly greasy as well. (I know pizza is subjective but that’s exactly how I like it). I thought it was delicious and will likely try a sandwich next time. I’d love to see a chicken ceasar wrap on the menu someday, but there’s plenty of options there now. Very friendly people, and fair prices too. It appears to be take-out only, but there’s a few outdoor tables for nice weather. Ample parking, order from the kiosk inside, credit accepted/cash appreciated. Highly recommended.“

“Very nice Cafe, it was clean and open. We (grou of 5) went for late breakfast and there was no wait. The host sat us immediately and the server came an took our drink order. The coffee is good, a little strong. We ordered and received our meals within 15 minutes. All of our meals were hot and prepared the way ordered. The server was friendly and checked on us multiple times. The floors and tables were clean; the booth we were in had some damage from use. The bathroom was clean. There is ample parking.

He was attentive to our table and gave thoughtful meal recommendations. A lucky find after an afternoon of trekking through the pavilions at Longwood Gardens. My eggplant parm and his fish and chips were very good. The appetizer, tomato/basil pesto flat bread, came out quickly. Crust was just right with crips edges and perfect topping. The decor is true tavern, warm and inviting. Good selection of beers, and ample wine list. This was the perfect spot to warm up on a very cold day. Highly recommend.“

The food....beef empanada and queso birria tacos with consume....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! the empanada was crispy, meaty and served with a delish sauce. The tacos were PACKED with meat, had incredible flavor and the consume....well lets just say ...can I get a consume IV....truly THE BEST I've ever had.“

“Years ago, and long before we retired and hit the road, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation to Vedge while in Philadelphia. So when we heard that a sister restaurant opened in historic Dillworthtown we were excited. While back in the Philadelphia area, we finally visited to celebrate a birthday. While not a place we can routinely visit due to the cost, it was an outstanding place for a celebration. Everything from talking to the owners to the food was excellent. The building was charming, the staff was great, and the food was elevated and amazing. We could not have asked for a better night. We definitely recommend visiting. We suggest making a reservation since it was busy during our visit on a weekday.“

“When I say I just licked the last bit of sauce off my fingers to write this review, I couldn't be more serious. A coworker just went to pick up some Friday lunch and suggested Mabel's. When she arrived she was greeted by the friendly and kind Miss Mabel herself. Mabel was accommodating, personable, and went above and beyond for our order. Now, the food that Mabel cooked was quite literally some of the best bbq I've had in years. I ate a shameful amount of ribs (perfectly cooked), and washed it down with delicious collared greens. Mabel's will 100% be my new bbq spot now and forever.“

“This is our go-to place for Mexican takeout in Kennett Square. We regularly get the special meat burrito with lomo (seasoned shredded pork), burrito with asada, and chicken quesadilla. The huaraches and enchiladas are also really good. All meals come with a ton of food. They give you little hot sauce containers and limes to go with your meal. There’s a small eating area where you often find people dining, but we typically to takeout because we order during the week and the food travels well. They’re always really quick when we call; about 15 minutes and the food is ready.

The owner is almost always the one who answers the phone and greets you when you come in. You can tell that he cares about his restaurant and making his customers happy, and you can feel good that you’re supporting a small local business, not a big chain. (If you happen to be helped by someone other than the owner, like a moody teen, don’t let it put you off).

The prices are reasonable, especially considering how much food you get.

One note: PAY CASH or you’ll be charged a credit card fee that they don’t even tell you about. This is the one complaint I have about this place. I know that many businesses are now doing this, but there are no signs in the restaurant warning of this fee and if you tell them you’re paying by card, they type a higher amount into the credit card machine without telling you.

The small parking lot could definitely be repaved and the building looks a little iffy in its lighting and placement among car repair shops and an apartment construction site, but it all adds to the feeling that you’ve found a hidden gem.

Parking: Not too many spots, but I’ve never found it totally full. Pavement is bumpy with lots of holes.“

I hadn't had foie gras before, so I thought it was pretty cool that I could try it at a place that wasn't a high-end French restaurant. It was pretty good! I enjoyed all of the food there. “I turned into a windmill. They sat me
next to a door that was constantly being opened to the outside world and it blasted cold air at me.

They also tried to charge me $29.99 for this “lobster” roll (and I use that term loosely). You can’t in good conscience tell me that this coleslaw concoction is more than 5% lobster. It’s potato chips and coleslaw on a tiny hot dog bread.

The burgers are solid.“
