“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

“Unfortunately we just found out about this lovely place a couple weeks prior to them closing (due to rent agreement, so there's a chance they'll open/sell elsewhere!), but we stopped in for some scoops and pints to go! I had pistachio on site... So yummy. But the pints I brought home have been beyond incredible. These taste better than regular ice cream; they are made with cashew milk. Apple crisp has cinnamon oat clusters in it, cinnamon toast crunch tastes exactly like the cereal and has little pockets of cinnamon sugar, nutcracker has pecans, and lemon raspberry crumb reminds me of my former favorite cheesecake factory flavor. I have a few other flavors to try still, but cannot believe how unique the flavors are and how creamy the consistency is. I truly hope this place can continue to serve ice cream to the community in whatever way they are able!“

“I always make it a point to stop by in this yogurt shop when I come to squirrel hill. It’s sooo reasonable and so practical as they weigh it, so you can get any flavor, any toppings, as much as you like. This was the cheesecake flavor, the only sugar-free option, but I loved it!! Try the lychee popping boba topping, it’s a game changer for me!! Also they always have new flavors so always look forwards to it?“

“Like a Rita's but 100x better. I got cherry Italian ice with vanilla custard in the middle. I thought it was worth what was paid. I will be back for sure when I am in the area.

Seriously, if my version of paradise existed, it would be a bottomless pit of potato fries and this ice cream (kind of tastes like kulfi but better).

“Went here because my daughter had been seeing a bunch of ads for it on social media and I had never heard of it so we figured let's go try.

In terms of ordering experience it's pretty straight forward as you place your order on one of two computers they have and then step aside and wait for your name to be called.

In regards to the space itself it was bright and pleasing to look at and clean.

Let's talk about the cookies, now taste is of course subjective but I found the cookies to taste good, not the best I have ever had but pretty good.

Now the following is going to again be subjective but to me the cookies are too under done, my kids liked that raw cookie dough feeling and texture but I would have liked them to have been a bit more firm. I had thought it was because they were fresh that they were so soft but even after a few hours at home to cool the cookies where still very much undercooked and infact my one definitely had some raw dough in the middle. My wife and kids through loved this fact so again this might be amazing if you like a cookie like that or it might be a turn off if you like a done and crumbly cookie.

Your paying for the hype and agressive marketing this company does, a dozen was nearly $50 dollars and they are not worth that to me, again subjective, but I have had better cookies at a local famous bakery in Oakmont for significantly less and with equal/better quality.

Honestly this place reminds me of when Krispy Cream came to town and the experience of getting a hot and fresh donut was new and exciting but after a while you came to realize that while it was a good donut it was not anything special and this place feels the same but with cookies.“

“First time experience at The Barnyard Coffee and Creamery today and it was excellent! Super friendly helpful staff and the ice cream was superb!
