“BIG SURPRISE how good this place was. It's similar to the Seasons 52 concept (including the individual mini desserts in small glasses). Fresh and seasonal menu items, nearly all of which are heart healthy choices but still very good. We were a large party and our server, Lexi, was fantastic. Friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Elevated casual. Definitely the best restaurant experience we had in Moosic. Highly recommend.“

“Scrantons own hidden gem! Served a delicious sausage and cheese omlete with homefries cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside. When asked about gluten free bread they were extremely accommodating, and toasted a gluten free roll to go with my breakfast. Service was great. No frills diner, great service and food. Price is right.“

Great wait staff. I always bring my friends for breakfast Saturday and it never disappoints! Coffee is great and free flowing. They get busy right about 10:00AM but the waitresses keep up quite efficiently. Love the veggie omelette!“

“I had the most delicious Chicken Francaise at the Club at the Highlands tonight, accompanied by mashed potatoes and zucchini superbly prepared and artfully presented. The sauce was to die for! I had a generous side salad that came with my meal. My companion had the round Archbald pizza that was a considerable size for a very reasonable $12! We both enjoyed an Alligash draft beer. It was a quiet night, the dining room was comfortable with a nice ambience and our very attentive server took care of us quickly. All in all, we thought the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We enjoyed our meal at The Highlands very, very much!“

The atmosphere is retro and fun and there's a booth set up like from the episode The Client that you can take photos in. The manager even took our photo. He had veal parmigiana w linguine & salad. I had pappardelle bolognese w italian wedding soup. The bread was warm w oil for dipping & the entrees served hot as they should be. (it was obvious that nothing was sitting waiting to come out of the kitchen)

The waitstaff are super friendly & attentive and the cocktails- a bloody mary & tiramisu martini were excellent!

Dessert was brownie ala mode w a candle & song for hubs, and tiramisu for me.

“We live just outside of Scranton, but hadn’t been in for a date night yet. My husband and I visited for dinner this weekend to celebrate my birthday, and while I knew the experience and presentation would be wonderful, I’d like to share how fantastic the food was, as well. Whoever builds the menu is truly special. We enjoyed drinks, appetizers, main dishes, as well as dessert. Every dish was curated with care, and absolutely delicious. We will certainly be back again! This was the greatest town to grow up in we had kiddies Day like mothers and fathers day we had kidfies6 day we has blueberry ad back berry's we pick them sell them for 50 cents a quart now they are all gone they came in sprayed and no more berries no more kiddies Day ice skating no more teen town no more cyc we had places to go in the summer had play houses on all for corners of Carbondale
I have one question who's idea was it to End all this who's idea was it to make Carbondale a dead town cisco had many owners always had good food some better then others you go down main street and it looks like some one punched main street in the mouth half the building gone knocked down for what Carbondale was a place the stars came to Jacky Gleason daughter got married here the best pool playes in the world played here and some on the best music came out of this little town we had it all but some one thought it wasn't a great idea so your kids suffer it's a Dam shame under main street covered over with black top is brick roads now we half to put black top down every other years back then a brick brakes you replace the brick our leaders are ti blame your kids are left to the trouble you left them not there fault“
