This was one of the best dining experiences with phenomenal entrees, excellent staff, beautiful atmosphere and amazing entertainment with the wait staff breaking into operatic song!! 10/10 recommend!!“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

The lunch special is a fantastic value and includes soup and a spring roll. We chose the miso soup, which we agreed is the most flavorful we've ever had. The staff are friendly and really helpful, and the food came out really fast - truly cooked to order. And, as if that weren't enough, the prices are incredibly reasonable. 10/10. “Different Philly bakeries make my top list for different reasons. If you want sourdough this is THE place to get it (rosemary peppercorn is my fave). Morning buns are great too. The rest--croissants, danishes and most savory options are ok but nothing special. The staff are super friendly. The cafe can get very crowded at times, and I think there are better options for breakfast in the general area.“

“We had booked Veda for our daughter's wedding welcome dinner on 5/3/24. The whole process from the time we contacted them till we had our function was smooth. They were very accommodating to our requirements and went beyond our expectations. If you are looking to have a large gathering I will definitely recommend doing a buyout. We decided on the menu and then we were guests at our own dinner. It is full service. The ambience was good and our guests enjoyed both the food and their awesome selection of cocktails. Gaurav Bhardwaj and Brazil provided excellent service. Did I mention Food? Very Good and Flavorful. We are from Delhi and big foodies, and I must tell you that they superseded our expectations. My boyfriend had a medical emergency which resulted in us having to leave via ambulance and the staff there just handled it was so much grace. “Truly a 10/10 experience from start to finish.

This was our first visit after hearing so many great things, and we left feeling like family. Our server, Grant, was fantastic, super attentive, incredibly helpful, and genuinely kind. The rest of the staff made us feel just as welcome. We were originally seated inside but asked if it would be possible to move outside, and they happily accommodated us without hesitation.

Since it was our first time, we had no idea what to order. We basically rallied the staff and bombarded them with questions, and everyone was more than happy to help. We ended up trusting their recommendations, and they absolutely nailed it. We ordered the sausage & fennel pizza, the mushroom white pizza, the kale Caesar, the focaccia, and the ricotta dip. Every single thing blew us away.

The pacing of the meal was perfect. Everything came out at just the right time, so the table never felt cluttered. We definitely ordered with our eyes, but we weren’t complaining because the leftovers were just as exciting to take home.

The focaccia deserves a special mention. You can tell the bread program is something they take a lot of pride in. Their dough is absolutely dialed in. As someone who loves wood-fired pizza, it’s always a treat to get a pie that’s still sturdy and not floppy,
a difficult thing to pull off when you’re cooking pizzas in under three minutes at around 800 degrees.

One of the highlights of the night was when the chef let us try a new dish he was working on; a tomato salad with caramelized breadcrumbs. It was absolutely mind-blowing and fit seamlessly with the rest of the menu. I think it’s easy for new chefs to come in wanting to make a statement or put too much of their own ego into every dish. This wasn’t that at all. It was thoughtful, humble, and incredibly well-executed. It complemented what was already a fantastic menu instead of trying to overshadow it. You can tell there’s a real sense of collaboration in the kitchen, and it’s exciting to see that kind of synergy. They already had something special, and it feels like great things are still to come.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were perfect for me and my date.

A huge thank you to Danny, Grant and Garrett, who were absolute sweethearts, along with the rest of the team for making our first visit so memorable. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality made all the difference.

“I ordered lunch for my family, for take out. One item was loaded potato puffs. They came with a very small drizzle of sour cream and a few small pieces of bacon. most were dry and plain. Very frustrating as this was my husbands only food he ordered and will be eating 😔“

Chef/owner Corey is a cool dude - he offered his homemade chili oil to me, which pizazz'd my noodles. I've never had chili oil with pho until I went to Corey's; it's now a sometimes habit for me!

This restaurant is the size of a breadbox[2], so call ahead before bringing your party of 8 there. If you want to host a private party, just work with the restaurant directly.
