“Great Sports Bar! Plenty of TVs in their main bar area and both dinning rooms. I would absolutely recommend you get the burger. It was packed full of greens, with the lettuce sauteed onions and grilled eggplant, but balanced it nicely with a big meaty patty and delicious house sauce. The fries were also exceptional, potentially double fried and thick cut, these steak fries were crispy and the perfect compliment to the burger. Staff was friendly and attentive and the neighborhood was cute!“

They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. “Gran Caffe L’Aquila has a beautiful atmosphere and some genuinely excellent products. The latte was expertly made with gorgeous latte art, and both the coffee and gelato were absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food and drinks. Most of the staff came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which took away from what could have been a wonderful experience.
The only one exception to this was Luca, who was welcoming, professional, genuinely kind, and knowledgeable. He made us feel appreciated as guests and stood out in the best way possible.
At the end of the day, hospitality is about making people feel welcome.
The rest of the team could certainly take note. If the level of service matched the quality of the coffee and gelato, this would easily be a five-star experience.“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

The lunch special is a fantastic value and includes soup and a spring roll. We chose the miso soup, which we agreed is the most flavorful we've ever had. The staff are friendly and really helpful, and the food came out really fast - truly cooked to order. And, as if that weren't enough, the prices are incredibly reasonable. 10/10. “I love this delicious little vegan cafe. The service is prompt. The food is made fresh so be prepared to wait a little longer than you may expect at other restaurants. I have been here about ten different times and have never been disappointed. My only complaint is that the area where it is located on South Street has a lot of heavy traffic and often has heaps of trash waiting to get picked up. It takes away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere but isn't always a problem. Looking forward to eating here again soon.“

Chef/owner Corey is a cool dude - he offered his homemade chili oil to me, which pizazz'd my noodles. I've never had chili oil with pho until I went to Corey's; it's now a sometimes habit for me!

This restaurant is the size of a breadbox[2], so call ahead before bringing your party of 8 there. If you want to host a private party, just work with the restaurant directly.
