“this has become my wife and I's favorite Italian restaurant in the South Hills. portions are huge. Food is absolutely delicious. Quick warning though if you order the stuffed hot peppers they will be HOT. They're absolutely delicious though!“

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“We were there on Saturday at 4pm. Parking lot already had at least 1/2 dozen cars. Did not have reservation so decided to eat at bar. I have never eaten at bar seating before so I wasn’t sure if I would like it. Let me tell you, it was so enjoyable! The bar was completely full within 15 minutes and the bartender was awesome. She was so friendly and competent. Complete pro!! No one was ever waiting for anything! Food was delicious. I will definitely sit at this bar and eat anytime.“

The toppings are perfectly mixed and heated to melt together and the flat bread crust technique should be studied by children!!! “Our server was just bizarre. Running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was forgetting things and screwing things up. She would basically run away while we were still talking to her. This was 7pm on a Saturday. After forgetting my soup, I was eventually brought an incredibly messy bowl, as if the soup was literally thrown into the bowl. She would say she was going to get us refills and then come back without refills. She did package our leftovers which was nice of her and offer us more bread.“

We traveled 45 minutes for our first visit to Lucchesi’s to celebrate a birthday dinner, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the charm and warmth of this local favorite. The restaurant has a nostalgic, white tablecloth atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. It’s clearly a go-to spot for special occasions, another table was celebrating as well, which added a festive touch to the evening.

We started with the roasted peppers and cheese appetizer, which was a delicious and flavorful way to kick off the meal. For our entrées, we chose the Lobster Romano and the Spots, both were fantastic, prepared with care, and absolutely packed with flavor.

Each dinner came with a fresh salad topped with house made dressing and blue cheese, which was simple yet really well done and delicious. For our sides, we selected the pasta with their homemade red sauce. Just a heads up: the sauce is pretty sweet, but as someone who typically doesn’t go for sweet red sauces, I have to admit this one was an exception. It was rich, smooth, and surprisingly delicious.

The menu isn’t overly large, but we found that to be a strength. It’s thoughtfully put together, focusing on high quality, well executed dishes instead of an overwhelming number of choices.

“Really a quite incredible restaurant! Came here with my grandmother. It was extremely quiet and formal. Very easy to make conversation. Our server was very kind to us, and making sure all of our food was always quality and refilling drinks. Soup and salad served as appetizers were delicious, as well as our entrees. “Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“
