THIS WAS REAL COMFORT FOOD THAT WASN’T SKIMPED ON OR LACKING!!!… AS A MATTER OF FACT, I’M ORDERING AGAIN TONIGHT!!!… I HAD ENOUGH FOR TWO DAYS UNTIL MY GREEDY GRANDSON CAME THE NEXT DAY & SAID, ‘NA NA, WHAT’S IN THE PLATTER?… CAN I HAVE SOME?’…. THERE WENT MY NEXT DAY’S DINNER!!!.. BUT DON’T WORRY, I’M ORDERING AGAIN TONIGHT & WILL HIDE IT!!!’??. BUT ORDER YOURS, REALLY GOOD FOOD!!!!??. (NICE LADY, I PRESUME OWNER WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!)“

“Yesterday was my first time coming here and when I say everything exceeded my expectations! The salmon rolls ? babyyyy they were the best! I was going to go back today for more but they’re closed, so I’ll be back Sunday! The food was made with love and care and you can tell! That’s so hard to find in Philly nowadays. The crab cakes were delicious too! The service was amazing as well. I was in the car eating and the chef still checked to see if I enjoyed the food. 10/10 recommend. “Nile Cafe in Germantown offers affordable vegan Soul food with big flavor! The modest interior is lightly decorated and sparsely seated. There were maybe six two-chaired tables. Outdoor seating options are available. Walking in, locals cycled in, ordered, waited, and cycled out constantly. All the food, served in to-go containers, was fantastic. The duck in gravy and the jerk chicken stole the show before we had the dessert. After being impressed, we dug deeper into the menu. The coffee ice cream was super creamy and the cake was moist and decadent. Nile Cafe is special. Although there isn't much on the menu we didn't try, the food was definitely worth a revisit. I might just stop in for dessert when I'm around.“

“I had the turkey wings with gravy, yams, and collard greens. The turkey wings were good, but the collard green was a little bit salted for my taste. The yams that I had were not potato but looked to be mash.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Maybe the next time things will be much different.“

I thought you opened early but see your hours start at 5pm. “I don't want to be that person that give a low rating, so I'll still give 4 stars. I visited the restaurant for the first time in over 10 years. I just remembered that I enjoyed the chicken breast sandwich last time( I usually hate fried chicken breast because people overcook it). I ordered the chicken breast sandwich today and it costed close to $12 for it😑. Mind you they have menus with no prices so I was kinda surprised by the price. I got to the car and there was a band wing and a small overcooked chicken breast! I'm super disappointed because I was really looking forward to that sandwich. Hopefully next time is better. I'll give them another chance since I unintentionally went within 30mins to closing. Idk I guess we'll see! I know I used to love the banana pudding too so I'll probably try that again too to see if it's still good.“

“Keeboom's has amazing food. This is a soul food spot where no additional seasoning needs to be added to your food. The food portions are on point. My platter had some weight. The service and atmosphere are not rate-worthy, since you're served out of a window on the side of the building. There is no building access to rate the atmosphere. I will say the area outside the building was trash and debris-free. Once again, the food is amazing and I would highly recommend Keeboom's to anyone who enjoys seasoned food!!!“

“So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.

Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.

My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“

The next day I ordered the same meal of fish platter and shrimp platter with greens and Mac/cheese. Also got extra sweet potatoes. The only thing missing was cornbread.
