When I finally decided, the food was hot, fresh, seasoned. “I think I paid more than $5 for two slices of plain pizza before going to the Cure cover band show across the street it does seem like a nice neighborhood place families are eating here other people before they go enjoy the music Pizza is all right... “A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

“My friend and I met for dinner and had a delightful experience. Our server was personable and very knowledgeable on the menu. I chose the flatbread which was incredibly flavorful and filling and she chose the roasted chicken with purple carrots. It was also very delicious. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and I will definitely get back here in the near future.

Vegetarian options: There were lots of items on the menu marked vegetarian. It is easy to get a meatless option here.

“Awesome small restaurant in the Strip. Exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary-cozy, calm, super tasty. I also think price is genuinely super worth it - $45 per person for 2 courses + tip is crazy. First course comes a bit small as expected, but second course was surprisingly filling. Scallops were great, duck pappardelle was super rich, sausage ragu was very flavorful. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a small restaurant that knows what it’s doing. Even treated us to glasses of sparkling wine on the house!“

“Don’t sleep on Fredo’s! The food is great, and the owner is excellent. She is great with service, cooking quickly, making suggestions. She really makes you feel at home at Fredo’s.

My favorites are the wings, Italian sandwich, and gyros. They do all the little things right. A true diamond in the rough!“

“This place is absolutely incredible! From the cool modern atmosphere (and great music) to the impeccable food with flavor so amazing I’ve never tasted anything like it before. I highly recommend the spicy meatballs as an appetizer and the baby carrots as a side dish. It was so nice being able to view the chefs cooking in the open kitchen from the dining room. Dominic our server was 10/10 and certainly added to this wonderful experience.

“my boyfriend and i tried pelegrino’s after we got sent a menu from them in the mail. we each got a pizza, and the cost was INCREDIBLY lower than the other pizza places we’ve ordered from. they deliver as well, which is nice. what i also appreciate about pelegrino’s is the option for online ordering, which allows me to pay & tip so i don’t have to fumble whenever the delivery comes. it takes some time, but it’s always worth the wait; we’ve never been disappointed!! this is our go to pizza spot!!“

“We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

“Our server was just bizarre. Running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was forgetting things and screwing things up. She would basically run away while we were still talking to her. This was 7pm on a Saturday. After forgetting my soup, I was eventually brought an incredibly messy bowl, as if the soup was literally thrown into the bowl. She would say she was going to get us refills and then come back without refills. She did package our leftovers which was nice of her and offer us more bread.“

“We order takeout from Armstrongs Express quite often and it’s always consistently good! My husband loves their wings. We’ve tried a lot of items on the menu and are always satisfied and full. The staff is so friendly and kind!! I also love that they have a few parking spots reserved for takeout costumers since that parking lot can get busy. Only downside is that they are closed on Sundays when we often want to order takeout“

“I moved to Pittsburgh about two years ago from New Jersey for my studies. I ended up living around the corner from this place for about a year before moving to Shadyside. This place has consistently had great food, and has always felt like a reliable choice for take out. My friends and I have gotten their pizza, gluten free pizza, cheesy bread, and their wings. We would recommend all of those food items :)

“Excellent all around. We travel around the east coast for football a bit and always seem to hit an olive garden when we go away. This one has been one of the best we've been at! Service was fast, food delicious, waitress was attentive and the atmosphere was excellent!“
