50 Best Mexican Restaurants near Merion Station

“A stellar crew working tonight 5/20/26. Great service, super patient as I tried to figure out the Chipotle app, and I have to give a shout out to one young man in particular. As I was pulling out to drive away I see him running out in the rain, flagging me down, clutching my kids juice boxes that came with their kids meal. I had left them on the counter. Anyone with kids knows little things like this can be the difference between a good night and a meltdown. This tired, working mom thanks you for going above and beyond!“

“Shrimp Tacos crazy good… crab guacamole delish“

“Foodie Alert: Go!!

Excellent!! Fresh, deeply flavored sauces. Vibrant flavors, and an outstanding sourdough tortilla. Don't forget, it's BYOB, and they have really good juices and mixes ready for your tequila or favorite spirit. A true gem in the competitive South Philly Mexican Cuisine scene.“

“It’s such a treat to find such a rare gem of original Mexican barbacoa in Philly of all places!“

“What a wonderful brunch! The staff was impressive! Coffee hit the spot and our brunch was wonderful. A small neighborhood spot that fills the neighborhood name totally. Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch!“

“Cocktails were good, so we're the hors d'oeuvres. Service was friendly. It was a Friday and they do that weird thing where they shut down for a couple hours between lunch and dinner service. That's always annoying, and it cut our time there short. They had customers and chased everyone out. It was clear they wanted us out.“

“Fantastic!! Queso fundido with chorizo served with flour tortillas was amazing. The birria tacos are definitely worth getting again. And the drinks were delicious and delightful. The Sangre de Bruja and the Purgotorio!!!“

“We had a few different things off the menu and shared. Everything was amazing. All of the ingredients were fresh, the servers had great recommendations, and the service was prompt. We will definitely be back in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor seating.“

“1st time there and can’t wait to go back! Great atmosphere, customer service and outstanding food! Loved the variety and unique tacos. Highly recommend. 👍🏻“

“Excellent food and service!!“

“Muy bonito ambiente agradable lo recomiendo 💯“

“Food so good I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Delicious drinks. Definitely coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“El mejor en comida mexicana“

“Awesome food and staff always fresh delicious ingredients!“

“Found this place on TikTok and sooo glad that I did! My family and I took a ride to try their matcha and coffee. We ended up getting matcha, coffee lattes and nachos. I don’t know what was better, the matcha, the coffee or the nachos. We LOVED EVERYTHING, even went back for second lattes. I couldn’t decide on which matcha flavor to try so I got both, so glad I did! The nachos were filled with fresh ingredients, excellent guacamole and delicious chicken. Prices were on point, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!“

“Todo super, y excelente servicio!“

“amazing food and service every single time!!“

“Cute place.
Hubby and I stopped in to grab breakfast, before heading back home.
Hubby got the Cream Brulee French Toast. This was delicious!!!
I got the plantain French Toast. Topped with Nutella and Condensed Milk. There was hardly any Condensed Milk. The Plantains were not very sweet. But it was still delicious.
We both just had coffees. The food takes a long time. But it is mot fast food. So don't expect a rushed plate.“

“The food was fabulous!! Atmosphere was spot on! Love, love, loved it!!“

“Elevated Mexican. We did 5 courses- so much food, it was hard for the 3 of us to finish. The lamb neck birria was great, but the Tlayuda might have been the standout dish. The chips and salsas is a nice touch, you get 6 different salsas to try. This is a great place to bring a group of people.“

“Great food deals on the happy hour menu but I wish they had some more drink options. I believe it was discounted drafts and marg pitchers which are great but I was by myself before meeting up with friends so I didn’t want to get a whole solo pitcher even though it prob would’ve been worth it lol. Otherwise love it there!“

“I find it an awesome place to sit outside with great drinks and a great happy hour especially the nachos just wish they added chorizo on the nacho’s for happy hour. Nice to relax here last night was the Phillies game and it was great👍“

“Soravi (I think that’s how he spelled it, I was there on 9/10 around 6:45pm) was a great help when it came to helping me figure out what I wanted! I got the sweet and spicy shrimp bowl. I got mango sauce on the side-that was really good too. Overall, ingredients were fresh and tasted 10/10. I will be back :)“

“Birriadillas are excelente!♥️“

“We ordered for the first time from here last night, take out. This was the best authentic Mexican food I we have ever had. Everything was so fresh. Their pico was the best I have ever had! Chicken burrito bowl was deliciousness, a ton of chicken! The fish tacos were amazing again so fresh! Had their guac and that was amazing as well. The food was not just thrown together, you can tell they put their heart and soul in to making the food. Not only was the food delicious but even the presentation for take out hit it out the park. This place is a hidden gem, next time we plan on eating in. This is definitely our new go to Mexican restaurant and so lucky it is only 5 minutes from us. Make sure to give them a try you won’t be disappointed.“

“One of my favorite places to eat! Well-crafted food with a sense of adventure. Always delicious. Incredible margaritas too. Service is attentive (calling you out, Alex- you are wonderful!). Can’t go wrong.“

“This San Diego native gives their California burrito five full stars. It’s almost impossible to find a burrito spot on the east coast that doesn’t just fill with rice and beans, let alone that gets the carne asada right. But Cholula gri got it right. Thank you to the staff and workers here for making something so delicious.“

“Simply outstanding. Superior service. Beautiful atmosphere. Kind and friendly service staff. This is my new favorite restaurant. Highly highly highly recommend for couples, families and groups…all can be accommodated and you will leave satisfied and happy. Seriously I might be in love with this place.“

“Excellent food. Good service“

“Everything was wonderful for my Birthday. Service was really on point.“

“Amazing food and even better service! Salsa Music was the icing on the cake. Leonardo our host takes the award for best host ever! Super knowledgeable , professional and great person! We are coming back for sure!“

“Pretty atmosphere and good food“

“I stopped into this spot after Joel, the owner, had posted it out on another platform. The street tacos were deliciously messy. There was such a great portion of meat on each taco I was only able to eat 3 of 4. The ability to customize my taco was wonderful! Ask for extra napkins + limes. I will be returning often here for sure. Plus, they cater! And there are even delivery options. Great local, neighborhood spot! 5 out of 5!“

“I’ve been here three times so far and each experience has been a delight. BYOB too! I’ll be back!“

“excelente servicio no se diga la comida recomendada al 100%“

“The best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten“

“This place has the best Mexican food, I’ve been coming here for 2 years and it’s delicious every time. I love to see how they’re getting more popular because they definitely deserve the hype. I had a party of 13 people here and it did not disappoint. 5/5 stars“

“Food is excellent , ingredients & flavor superb. The Owner is truly a sweetheart .. great vibes…curbside service also…“

“Wow! Why did I wait so long to go here?! I will now become a regular! Delicious food, good sized portions, and very reasonable prices. The owner and server were really nice. I sat next to some of the owner's family members and they were so friendly... a totally unexpected bonus for my first (of many!) meals at this wonderful place!“

“Been going there for a while and I have nothing bad to say about it“

“Stopped in for quick lunch. Got one taco and am sad it’s gone. I should have ordered three at least. The taco shell was simply amazing and fresh. I’m goin for the taco salad tomorrow!!!!“

“We had a great dinner and the bartender Vasanth was great! Food was fresh and very tasty. Nice restaurant to visit if in Penn Landing area in Philadelphia“

“The customer service at this place was exceptional. The food was tasty, the environment was friendly and family oriented, and I really enjoyed the food. It was seasoned to maximum taste. I ate half of the menu, and when the bill came at the end, it was very affordable. I almost couldn’t believe it. I will highly recommend this place to anybody asking them selves. You will love it.“

“la comida rica y la buena atención“

“We've going to Tamarindos for over 20 years. Fernando is an excellent owner. The new menu is awesome. Free Margheritas with entrees.“

“Come here multiple times and have had a great time as usual! 🌮✨ Food is very good. 😋 The staff is always friendly and understanding. 🤗 This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! 🌶 Unlike the other place I went to last week, which was a mess and all over the place, this place can do no wrong. 🙌🏽🔥“

“First time of many for dinner SO GOOD !!!!!“
