““A BRIEF STOP at COUNTRY CAFE” Today were on the PA interstate driving to a holiday weekend destination. We had been on the road for hours, and were starving. Google search for local food, and Country Café came up. When you first see the place from the road, it is very deceiving, because it looks small. It is spacious inside, and they can comfortably accommodate more than 50 people. We ordered the meat lovers omelette and the plates are so full we had trouble finishing! Very reasonable prices as compared to our Jersey Diners. The wait staff and everyone else were so nice and friendly. Whenever we travel we go out of our way to look for places like this. We’re glad we found Country Café. Highly recommended.“

Great wait staff. I always bring my friends for breakfast Saturday and it never disappoints! Coffee is great and free flowing. They get busy right about 10:00AM but the waitresses keep up quite efficiently. Love the veggie omelette!“

“I have many special memories here with family. The best memory was in July during a holiday celebration. I brought my boyfriend Abdullah to meet my family and it was one of the most special memories that I cherish deeply. Most recently when I came, I saw many peers from high school who may or may not have noticed me. Most distinctively, I saw a former athlete. This colleague used to be one of the best North Pocono football players as well as North Pocono track & field athletes who had his year book picture iconically taken on the railroad tracks. I would highly recommend coming here if you want to see North Pocono School District legends as well as have amazing food.“

We started with potato pancakes, calamari, and the mozzarella en Carozza and it was like it was touched by the hand of God it was so delicious! Then I had the pretzel chicken with the mashed potatoes and the green beans! I've been looking for pretzel chicken done this way all over the valley and this is the only place that does it the way I like it with the mustard sauce. My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! My husband had the Joseph's double stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni added on top and we've had other double stuffed crust white pizzas before and this one is at the top of the list! “My wife and I are new to the area and wanted to try a new restaurant. I went online and saw that there was a country style diner complete with homemade desserts and huge portions. I had the Barell Burger and my wife had the Blue Burger. First off, you are really taken in by all the great decor in the restaurant. This place reminds me of Country Junction in Lehighton how they have it decorated. The coffee mugs are huge! We had dana and Carly as our servers and when I tell you these two are hands down the happiest waitresses I've ever had wait on us. You really can tell that they love thier customers. We will be back on Sunday for breakfast. Great place.“

“I just moved to the Scranton/Dunmore area from New York City. I was looking for a local place to “hang my hat”. After trying several local establishments, someone told me I should try Crotti’s on Ash. I met Sheila, the owner, who is fantastic about managing, serving and booking the bands for the place.
I walked in on a Monday night and saw Clarence Spady playing a rendition of “Hey Joe” that floored me. If you don’t know who Clarence is- Google him. I’ve been coming back ever since. Every band or person that plays here is extremely impressive and high quality. Coming from NYC, it’s difficult to impress me but everything about this place is awesome. The people here are warm, good-hearted souls that make everyone feel welcome- Even a displaced person from New York City!“

“Here on a Thursday night at 6 for a nice dinner! This Saloon is fantastic! A very comfortable rustic atmosphere surrounded by what seemed to be to me some of the friendliest people in the area. The waitress was comfortably both very respectful, professional and friendly at the same time. After settling down to a very tasty, and well presented meal "cooked to perfection I might add" we chose to have a couple of drinks, while there, musicians started setting up equipment and soon they started the entertainment, and we were impressed by the quality of music that we were fortunate to be experiencing. Turns out it was Legends open mic night and threw the next couple of hours the musicians rotated on stage and brought what at least for us and apparently the rest of the clientele was a very enjoyable evening!! After traveling 30 some miles to check out what some friends had said about Legends Saloon, I must say that we will definitely be coming back for a repeat and more than likely it will be on a Thursday! Who knows maybe even a weekly thing! A big hats off to Legends Saloon!!“

“We tried Roma pizza for the first time today. As soon as I got it home, it was devoured and never had pizza in the house that went so fast.
That wouldn't mean much except we do pizza every Friday night and have for 16 yrs.

“Pizza is runny, but let it sit and lt is good. I got a personal pan and a 8in chicken parmigiana hoagie and soda for just under 10 dollars. Very inexpensive, not the best I've ever had, but for the price I was satisfied and staff were nice and sociable. Will stop again.“

“Beautiful restaurant within the Radisson Lackawanna hotel. Reservations are suggested although we were the only 2 people eating from 6pm-7pm on a Saturday evening. I believe it was because the hotel was hosting a large party and most of the guests were probably there. The evening prior, the restaurant was full. We were served quickly and our drinks were brought along with warm bread and butter. We ordered pasta and crab cakes and our meals came out quickly. Everything was so hot, fresh and tasty. My scallops were tender and my cousin enjoyed the lump crab meat in her crab cakes and vegetables. Dessert was a delectable warm creme brulee. Prices were fair. We would definitely recommend dining here.“
