“Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

“I have never in my life reviewed a store but this changes today. This was like genuinely soul reviving. The soup I got I’m like 90% sure cured my sore throat. The matcha-taro-redbean tea is frickin life changingly amazing. This is so many words but this is how content I am with my purchase. Ordered through DoorDash and the delivery went very smoothly with the restaurant, within 20 minutes of me placing the order it was marked as ready for pickup. I will definitely come back bc omg. “This was my first time ever stopping into the restaurant. I am very picky about my Chinese food. The establishment cleanest and surrounding is important to me. If I see any signs of uncleaniness I am out the door. So I am impressed so I ordered. Watched how they prepared my food and others impressed. So took my food which was done at the time they told me. I got home and the food was great and delicious. So they will see me again since it alot closest to my home.“

“I’m rating this five stars because of several reasons. First of all, there are very few options for fast food around this neighborhood. Also, most of the options within a block or two are questionable at best in terms of quality, consistency, and price. Parking is a kafkaesque nightmare around here too so if I am forced to choose fast food, my most frequent choice is here. Hunan is not amazing for the price, but it is basically exactly the same every time, and it’s hot. If you’re willing to pay $18, you can get a filling and satisfying yet greasy meal. I always go for the fried rice, chicken, and broccoli and maybe egg rolls. Like I said, it’s outrageously priced but at least you know you are getting a lot of ok quality food instead of rolling the dice with other nearby options.“

“Tried the General tsos chicken, and pork fried rice. The tsos was pretty good in terms of flavor and spice, but the chicken pieces felt a touch lacking. The pork fried rice was one of the better fried rice dishes I have had in the area but certainly not the best. Overall would certainly recommend.“

“Anyone who knows me, knows I love supporting small local businesses. The food was outstanding, but I was surprised at the plastic flatware/napkin in a sealed plastic bag and not real stainless steel flatware. Prices were inline with other Indian restaurants I have been to. Unfortunately, it's street parking in an already crowded street because of apartments. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I go back in the future? You bet I would!“

My daughter and I have been ordering from here for years and we’ve also been inside the restaurant to eat many times and we’ve never had a problem. Their food is very good. It’s always hot when we get it And it tastes fresh to us. I was very happy to hear the buffet was back and it’s just as good as it always was. I wouldn’t hesitate to go eat there again. We eat there a couple of times a month.“

Wheelchair accessibility: It was tight in the restaurant around the seating for walkers. But definitely doable.“

“This was our first time ordering take out from Hunan Palace. We are very happy with our choice. The steamed dumplings are big and fresh with a delicious dipping sauce. We also ordered wonton soup, egg drop, moo goo gai pan, lo mein, and pork fried rice. The portions are really good. We will definitely be ordering again. Hot,fresh and flavorful. “Excellent Tradtional Chinese Food“

“I forgot what I ordered but the shrimp was covered in a big batter that was super crunchy. The sauce came with it also tasted good with rice. While the other chicken dish I ordered wasn't as amazing. It felt like it missing some sweet balance. Both of them were supposed to be spicy as indicated on the menu, but they were not spicy at the slightest.
The wonton soup I ordered came with 2 big wonton. It's tasted alright. The broth was feel like it was just chicken stock. It's a bit bland eating after other dishes, so it's best to eat it as an appetizer.
I like the cook lady though, she brought the dish out with a big smile, it was pleasant.“

“I don’t understand the low rating for this restaurant. I live in the area and this is my go to for takeout Chinese food. I usually get the chicken and garlic sauce, steamed dumplings, or beef lo mein. I’ve never ordered something I didn’t like. The portions are very generous and their prices are very reasonable.“
