“I've been here a few times, it's a fun place to bring people because of the whole speakeasy vibe. They don't take reservations so it's hit or miss if you can actually get in. Drinks are hit or miss for me too. Over time I've done drinks from the menu and the bartenders choice. I know it sounds silly but I really dislike the ice they use! It's like ice chips which cheapens the drinks, which seems to go against the suave swanky vibe. I got the pickle mule this time though and really liked it.”

“I have Lebanese step-family. Every summer, we would go visit my grandmother and I have long considered her food the gold standard. That's often what middle eaten food is: traditional. If you stray from tradition, it usually gets worse, not better. Suraya manages to bend tradition just enough and in just the right ways to surprise and delight those familiar with traditional Lebanese cuisine. It is glorious.Pretty much everything I've eaten here has been the best of that type of food which I have eaten. Their labneh is the best labneh. Etc.The Fatteh is one of the top 20 or so best tasting dishes I've ever eaten in my life, and I regularly hunt down the world's top restaurants.Service is great, atmosphere is very nice, but I almost don't care. You could sit me on a rock in a field and I would love this food.”

“Definitely the best omakase in Philly!! Quaint bar setting BYOB! Right up close great sushi masters. No special occasion just decided to have sushi with my son. Every course was outstanding! Flavors were amazing. I love seeing the reactions of the other patrons as the eat the courses! Will definitely be back many time hopefully. Well worth the drive great neighborhood ample parking. Beware of the non descript building.At $158 you will be very satisfied with every bite. The ala carte menu has some great add ins priced accordingly 20-38$. “Very small intimate space with the open kitchen directly on the floor. Had an incredible experience here! The staff was super friendly and bantered with us all night. The stand out to me was the scallop toast, it practically melts in your mouth. Though everything we had was excellent flavor and presentation wise. I will absolutely be back!”

“The baked goods are SO FRESH we came in at 10 am and got the ham and egg, taro bun, pork bun, danish, and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so tasty the pork buns and taro buns are the best thing!! Id have an idea of what you want before you go in, theres a lot of options and its a bit of a tight space that gets crowded easily. Pineapple bun isn’t filled I think fyi. Bring cash if you can its just easier and probably cheaper.”

“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!”

The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. It didn't seem like a place that aims to put pizza on a pedestal rather a well put together representation of desired traits specific to the Philadelphia dining scene. The pizza leaned towards a bar pie, that was executed by someone who has a devout understanding of the dough and the other ingredients involved. The soft serve was well spun and tasty. We started with the Chilango chicken wings seasoned with Tajín, which were absolutely delicious and had just the right kick of chili powder. The variety of ceviches we tried were all delightful, but the one with passion fruit was a standout favorite among our group. The owner personally greeted us and inquired about our dining experience, which added a special touch to the evening. The service from all the waitstaff and employees was exceptional, and the bartender even went above and beyond to craft a delicious mocktail for me when I opted not to drink alcohol. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with great food and wonderful service. Highly recommended!”
