“I'd heard about the wings and just had to try them. In my opinion, Buffalo Wings are truly the only thing that is special about food in Pittsburgh. I was not disappointed. They're the best I've had, and they come served in a basket with sauce of the perfect consistency pooled at the bottom. The woman behind the bar somehow takes care of everyone without any help. You could tell that she truly cared about your experience.“

“This bar slaps. The bartenders are all super chill and knowledgeable. The menu is super interesting, with balanced and unexpected cocktails that are truly impressive. You can tell the drinks have a lot of love for the craft behind their recipes. Can get a little crowded/loud on busy nights but still worth it. 10/10 would recommend sitting at the bar with a couple friends and trying as much on the menu as you can.“
“I love The Dog Penn for so many reasons. It's a safe dog park (vax requirements and scamp counselors), the owners are community minded (work with local businesses and rescues), and the atmosphere is incredible. Last night, I got a flat tire when I was leaving The Dog Penn. The owners did not hesitate to come outside and help me (well😅 being honest, do it for me) change my tire. They taught me a few things about my car and made sure I was safe to get on the road. Beyond the many things I love about the venue itself, I love the ownership and the way they love and take care of their community. If you haven't had a chance to check this place out yet, you absolutely have to!“

“Came from 2 hours away for a comedy show.
I love that you can reserve seating. I love that it's rows of chairs instead of tables. It was a little hot for me, but I run hot. The drinks were reasonable and delivered to our seats with the use of a QR code! The atmosphere is vintage awesome. I would totally be a member if I lived closer.
Parking is on the difficult side, but we were able to find a decent spot.“

“I booked The Goldmark’s speakeasy, The Confidant, for my birthday party recently and simply cannot sing their praises enough!
Nicole and Noa were ANGELS and worked with me throughout the entire process to answer any and all of my questions. They worked so hard to create and serve two CUSTOM cocktails with me and a shot of my choice for the evening! There was even a drink sheet made just for my event. I got so many compliments from every guest about how wonderful our bartender, Noa, was. He was fun, helpful, and completely added to our vibe :)
We had full rein over the music, and even a bouncer to ensure our party remained private. Everyone was obsessed with the space, and it perfectly accommodated all of my guests. We were even able to move things around in a way that worked best for us! The staff let us in a full hour early to decorate, and they were ready to help make my vision come to life. Goldmark even provided us a table for snacks and cake that is not usually available.
I can’t thank Noa, Nicole, Jill, and Adam for helping coordinate the most unforgettable birthday party! ( I want to do this every year!)“

“I just went for the my first time. I didn’t order food but the pizza looked really good. They had live music on Friday night (around 10pm-11pm when I was there). Drinks were good and very very reasonably priced. I’m looking forward to going back. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“Really enjoyed the atmosphere here! ✨ It was my first time stopping by, and the overall vibe was great — relaxed, friendly, and full of good energy. The people around were easygoing, which made the place feel welcoming right away 😊.
One of the best parts was the drinks. They were very affordable 🍹 and the pours were definitely generous, which is always a nice surprise. The cocktails were made well and tasted great, so they definitely did not disappoint.
I also heard from a few people that their chicken is really good, so that’s something I’m planning to try the next time I visit 🍗. If it’s as good as the drinks, I’m sure it’ll be worth it!
Overall, it was a fun first experience with good vibes, good people, and solid drinks. I’d definitely come back again to hang out and explore more of the menu.“

“To Randy Kovac, All I have to say is BS, to your review, and how could you see the bartender ignoring your call?? Lmao. If you was there and needed cigarettes, no matter what time or whoever was there, employees or customers. And needed cigarettes, you would have received cigarettes even if you didn't have any money. So why don't you say anything about you abusing dogs? Or what about someone saying something about you that's not true on the internet?? Wouldn't like that would you.. and the animal abuse is true. “We won a gift certificate from my favorite non-profit, Hilltop Horizons.org I didn't know I liked Cider until we stopped at the Brewery at Soergels in Wexford. We tasted several samples before we ordered a growler that was perfect for 2 of us. We sat inside as it was a bit windy that day. There is great outside seating as well. There were board games available to play and great views of the farm. We tried the sorbet on the way out. It was delicious!! We also picked up a 6 pack to enjoy later. This would be a great place for family fun or just for 2. I love to find local small businesses that support each other and the community! We will definitely be back.“

“Just started going to the Theme a couple of weeks ago. We were looking for a change of pace and more for our money. The Theme did not disappoint, great drink specials & daily specials. Food is great especially the sandwiches and pizza.“

Interesting mix of Pitt upperclassmen and regular people from the area. Every time I happen to be in Oakland now, I make a point of dropping in for a drink (or five). Highly recommend for a cool bar!“
