“I love The Dog Penn for so many reasons. It's a safe dog park (vax requirements and scamp counselors), the owners are community minded (work with local businesses and rescues), and the atmosphere is incredible. Last night, I got a flat tire when I was leaving The Dog Penn. The owners did not hesitate to come outside and help me (well😅 being honest, do it for me) change my tire. They taught me a few things about my car and made sure I was safe to get on the road. Beyond the many things I love about the venue itself, I love the ownership and the way they love and take care of their community. If you haven't had a chance to check this place out yet, you absolutely have to!“

One of the best parts was the drinks. They were very affordable 🍹 and the pours were definitely generous, which is always a nice surprise. The cocktails were made well and tasted great, so they definitely did not disappoint.

I also heard from a few people that their chicken is really good, so that’s something I’m planning to try the next time I visit 🍗. If it’s as good as the drinks, I’m sure it’ll be worth it!

“We won a gift certificate from my favorite non-profit, Hilltop Horizons.org I didn't know I liked Cider until we stopped at the Brewery at Soergels in Wexford. We tasted several samples before we ordered a growler that was perfect for 2 of us. We sat inside as it was a bit windy that day. There is great outside seating as well. There were board games available to play and great views of the farm. We tried the sorbet on the way out. It was delicious!! We also picked up a 6 pack to enjoy later. You've found it...at the R BAR... 5 mins. from downtown(avoid rush hour) The owner is a semi-retired musician..and his wife besides being a "Hottie" LOL..Is the salt of the earth...If you make it there on Sundays..You'll find one of the best"Bloody Mary's" around...and a 6 piece band called "The Midnight Horns" who all lead their own bands doing the week,but come together at the R BAR to roar..(Jazz,R@B,Blues)..I must also mention 2 of the best bartenders around..Toni and Billy.will treat you like family...So why not give the R BAR 5 stars? Only because of it's size,and no food..however a Pizza parlor opened next door with a wide variety of treats...good enough to feed those Boilermakers..from the R BAR...“
