Thankfully we had an entirely different experience.

Megan was one of the nicest servers we've encountered in any of our restaurant visits.
She was attentive. She was pleasant.

And our food also came out in a timely manner. We didn't feel rushed and we didn't feel forgotten about. Appetizers. Full meals. Dessert. All delivered perfectly orchestrated.

We had the most pleasant experience and we would go back to the Highbridge House, maybe even calling ahead to see if Megan L was available.

“I won a gift card to this restaurant from a raffle at Dunmore Elementary. My wife & I went tonight. It was a Wednesday night so we were not expecting a crowd. There was a decent group of people there for a Wednesday. We sat ourselves at a table off to the side in the bar area. The bar tender came over right away and introduced herself. She was very nice. We ordered 2 entrees and split them. We ordered the 16oz Sirloin steak entree and the shrimp skewers entree. Wow! I did not expect such a massive steak! It was huge. We ordered it medium. It was cooked perfectly. And I know. I was a chef for many years working in kitchens. Whoever cooked this steak knew what they were doing. It was seasoned well and topped with blue cheese crumbles. Mouth watering. The Shrimp skewers were seasoned with a Cajun spice and rested on a bed of rice pilaf. Delicious. It had a little kick. But not too much. Just right. We each got the seasoned vegetables and mashed red potatoes as our sides. Portions were generous. My wife took half of hers home for lunch tomorrow. I on the other hand will not be defeated. I cleaned my plate. The red skin mashed potatoes were the star of the show. Wow! They did not need any gravy or anything. So buttery and good. Same with the mixed vegetables. Perfect. We were both pleasantly surprised. The bar tender kept checking on us and refilled my Diet Coke without me even asking. She was really fantastic. On the ball and she had a full bar of customers by the time we left. That did not stop her from taking care of us. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great hidden gem in Dunmore. As we were leaving and walked past bar area I said to my wife, “This would be a fun place to watch a game or big sporting event.” Well sure enough there were signs for future happy hours and upcoming games. “I usually purchase hoagies several times a month. The preparer is always pleasant and efficient, and genuinely makes you fell welcome. The ingredients are always fresh, and of the highest quality. I have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend their products and the staff.

“One of the Greatest places in the NEPA region for food, music and events. They hold a great open mic event every week which is a hot pot for local musicians. The staff are cool , friendly and solid. The ownership is good people and it's a great little stage with big energy. Stop on by , something is always going on.“

“I just moved to the Scranton/Dunmore area from New York City. I was looking for a local place to “hang my hat”. After trying several local establishments, someone told me I should try Crotti’s on Ash. I met Sheila, the owner, who is fantastic about managing, serving and booking the bands for the place.
I walked in on a Monday night and saw Clarence Spady playing a rendition of “Hey Joe” that floored me. If you don’t know who Clarence is- Google him. I’ve been coming back ever since. Every band or person that plays here is extremely impressive and high quality. Coming from NYC, it’s difficult to impress me but everything about this place is awesome. The people here are warm, good-hearted souls that make everyone feel welcome- Even a displaced person from New York City!“

““A BRIEF STOP at COUNTRY CAFE” Today were on the PA interstate driving to a holiday weekend destination. We had been on the road for hours, and were starving. Google search for local food, and Country Café came up. When you first see the place from the road, it is very deceiving, because it looks small. It is spacious inside, and they can comfortably accommodate more than 50 people. We ordered the meat lovers omelette and the plates are so full we had trouble finishing! Very reasonable prices as compared to our Jersey Diners. The wait staff and everyone else were so nice and friendly. Whenever we travel we go out of our way to look for places like this. We’re glad we found Country Café. Highly recommended.“

“I called ahead to inquire about if the food was spicy as I tried the halal spot up the street from them and couldn’t get beyond a fork full because it was WAAYYY too spicy. Figured I’d give these guys a try and THANK God I did!!! Not only was there a huge amount of food but the little kick of spice was not over baring and left space for plenty of favor. I asked for extra white sauce and they delivered on that as well. They were nice accommodating and the food was good. This was my first time goin there so I did call and let them know the food was great and you could tell the guy needed to hear that you could hear him smile through the phone I’m not sure why this place isn’t way busier but trust me it’s worth it! As a New Yorker I think this is the closest you’ll get to NY truck stand halal. I APPROVE!!!“
